Hello! Back for Day 2 sharing some fun projects for the brand new Valentine's release at Lil' Inker Designs - and love is definitely in the air! You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!
I'm back today with a couple more love theme cards - first up, I just HAD to do at least one shaker - so many of these dies are PERFECT for this purpose!
I'm back today with a couple more love theme cards - first up, I just HAD to do at least one shaker - so many of these dies are PERFECT for this purpose!
I started off by creating a window in my pink cardstock using Fringe Scalloped Heart Dies - I also slightly bent up the edges of each scallop to make it pop a little extra!
Next, I die cut the Be Mine Greeting Die from a piece of white cardstock, and attached that directly on the back. I die cut the whole thing with a Stitched Mats: Rectangle. I backed that panel with acetate and added foam adhesive for my shaker.
Finally, I did a bit of distress inking on the card base in a soft pink for an ombre effect, and filled the shaker with lots of pretty Iridescent Heart Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh. LOVE how it reflects the pink just a little extra as well!
Next up, a nearly one layer card - so simple, but the layers work so effectively together!
I started off by stamping the large heart from Love You More Stamp Set in Hero Arts ombre ink directly on my card base.
I added the large "Love" using the fabulous Brush Script Valentine's Word Dies (which, incidentally, I absolutely LOVE!), then stamped the smaller sentiment again from Love You More Stamp Set.
Finished this one off with a simple twist of black jute string, tied in a knot instead of a bow.
Your next stop along the blog hop is Jennifer Carter - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!
And now the really fun part! One lucky person is going to win THE ENTIRE RELEASE! Winner will be chosen from comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!
Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:
