My Craft Spot New Release Peeks - Tiny Tags 2 and Metal Dies

Good morning! I'm so excited to be sharing the first of the sneak peeks for the new release at My Craft Spot! Make sure and start over there to read the details of the sneaks this week, and the new release Blog Hop that will happen on Saturday! There are prizes to be won each day! Today we are sneaking the new stamp set called Tiny Tags 2 - plus a set of matching tag dies! Here is what I made with these sets:
I started off by cutting the girl silhouette using my Cricut and A Child's Year cartridge. I inked the edges of them and the shadow using some Tim Holtz distress ink, and did a little splattering on them with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - then covered them with Glossy Accents and coated them with Martha Stewart coarse glitter.
All the pattern paper is from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad.
Here is a close up of the tag and sentiment from the new release. Isn't that tag adorable?!?!? And they cut so smooth and clean - I LOVE it! The flowers and grass were cut with My Favorite Things Die-namics.
The flourishes behind the doily are also from the new Tiny Tags stamp set - so pretty and fun!
I used some crinkle ribbon in Buttercup and Milk Chocolate from My Craft Spot (click HERE to find it in the store), as well as some Cotton Candy Divine Twine (click HERE to see this).
I used the Glimmer Mist on the doily as well, then attached the girls with foam adhesive for extra dimension. Finished off with a bit of stick on bling from my local Michael's store.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure and stop over at My Craft Spot and check out the rest of the sneaks by the amazingly talented design team! See you here tomorrow for the next peek!

Blue and yellow thank you!

The other day I needed a thank you card, and so I pulled out one of my favorite Unity Stamp sets, Insightful Meadows. I stamped it in clear Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then, covered it over with some Tattered Angels Glimmer mist and let it dry. Added the sentiment, glud it onto the card front, and finished off with a little bling, and some crinkle ribbon. I really LOVE yellow and blue together! Makes me think of sunshine in a blue sky I think!

The apple of my eye!

Hello! Just a quick post for a couple of challenges! Here is the card:

And here is the sketch I followed from the Basic Grey blog:

I used {of course} Basic Grey paper from the Out of Print and Basic Whites 6x6 stacks. Used a little Tattered Angels Glimmer mist on the white background. Hand cut the felt, did a bit of machine stitching, and added the button and jute cord bow. Sentiment is from Unity Stamps, and I also used a little burlap on there.

Here is the inspiration from Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger - I loved those pretty golden colors, and the apples on top! GORGEOUS! Makes me hungry though...

Here is my card for this week:

For this card I used the Unity stamp July 2011 KOTM. I sprayed a doily with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, let it dry, then stamped my sentiment. Weaved some jute cord around the edges of the doily, and added a Prima flower and button from my stash. The papers are all inked with Tim Holtz distress ink. And when it was all done, it needed just one little extra touch, so I added some bling with my Jolee's heat set tool.

Market Street Block Party!

This morning I noticed that Market Street is having another block party this weekend! Last time around was so much fun, that I sat down and whipped something out quick as I could! Here is what I came up with:

I tried out using my Tattered Angels glimmer mist - a technique that I have only tried once or twice before. I really like how it came out! Then I used the set "Blast Off," stamped each part on pattern paper, then cut out and pop-dotted each piece on the card base. Rounded a couple of the edges, and stamped the sentiment on as well!

Simple and quick - one of the best kinds of cards! Now make sure and head over to Market Street Stamps to join in on the fun!

Unity Friends with Flair - Hello Bike

Good morning! Welcome to another week of Unity Friends with Flair! We were on vacation last week, so I missed playing along - but when I got home last weekend, I couldn't WAIT to play with my crafty supplies! This is one of the first things I made after getting home.

I used one of my new favorite techniques to play with - stamping on canvas! I stamped this bike from the Unity July KOTM, then sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer mist to add some color. Used lots of little pieces of paper, and did LOTS of machine stitching - something else I have been having a lot of fun with! The sentiment came from the Unity April KOTM, and I put a jute cord bow behind it and added a brad. Also inked the edges of just about everything - even the canvas!

Thanks for stopping by - and make sure and leave a comment and go link up your own creation at Unity Stamps blog for a chance to win 25 random stamps!

Oooohhh I am in LOVE with something NEW!!!

So...I was recently out helping clean out the closets and cupboards at our church, when we came across a bunch of little pieces of plain cream colored canvas. We were going to throw it away, when I thought to myself, maybe it would be fun to stamp on? And if not, I could always just throw it away later, right? Well, I pulled it out to try for this card, and I am SURE I will be using it a LOT more!!!

I also had just gotten my July KOTM in the mail a couple of hours earlier, and wanted to make a thank you card for my dear sister-in-law who came and rescued me earlier in the week when I had a migraine. She took me to the chiropractor, then took my kids home with her for the afternoon. Yep - I'm spoiled, and she's wonderful!!!

I stamped the image and sentiment from my July Unity KOTM on the canvas, then sprayed it with some Tattered Angels glimmer mist. Frayed the edges a bit, machine stitched around the edges of the canvas, and the edges of the card, and added a bit of bling with my Jolee's heat set tool. Finished off with these cool ribbon roses that I sprayed with 3 different colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer mist! (Another thing I have had for a bit, but not experimented with often enough to get good at! Have to change that now!)

Life is beautiful...

After submitting the one card for the Unity Stamp Company "Tweet" Challenge, I decided to pull out my stamps I won from the last Friends with Flair, and make another one!

I stamped the bird first in red ink, then used my Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges of that, and all the other pieces. Inked the edges of everything, then sprayed Tattered Angels Glimmer mist over the paper with the stamped image. The red paper I used an EK success punch on (my new favorite!). I added a bit of doodling with my white gel pen, some pom-pom ribbon, and a few stick on pearls.

Balloons make EVERY birthday better!

I totally love balloons - so it is pretty obvious why I LOVE this stamp! This is easily my favorite stamp from Unity Stamps newest Kit of the Month - so since it arrived Saturday, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!

This is one of those cards that just kind of came together by accident - but I love the (unexpected) result! I started off by stamping the bike and balloon image in red, then distressed the paper and it's darker blue mat with my Tim Holtz distress tool. On a whim, I decided to lightly spray it with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Creme de Chocolat that I had not tried out yet. Then, since that hid the image a little more than I wanted, I decided to restamp it in black. Of course, my aim was bad and I missed, but I kind of like how it is off-set a little anyway. Added the brads to hold the layer together, pop dotted the bike and sentiment, used a little Baker's Twine at the side of the sentiment, and finished by inking the edge of the background paper before attaching it to a pre-made card.
