Good morning! Playing with a bit of my Reverse Confetti last night - and thinking of spring coming every so slowly this year. While I can't make it come any quicker outside - I sure can make it happen on a card! Where I live, tulips are a huge deal. The annual Tulip Festival brings in tons of tourist activity (sometimes to the dismay of the locals who have to traverse the roads still!) - but there is something breathtaking about going to see the fields of color. And something about some of the first glorious flowers of spring just fit this sentiment from Easter Blessings perfectly!
I layered my inks a little creatively for this card. I wanted to have a slightly softer feel to the colors than the original inks. So, using Blooms 'N Buds and my MISTI for perfect alignment, I stamped the stem first in Lime Green Ink, then stamped over the top with white pigment ink. I did the same thing for the flower, using Rose Ink. Once I layered on the white pigment ink, I came back with the Rose Ink and stamped the details in on the flower. This is a great way to stretch your inks!
The front frame panel was die cut using Striped Frame Cover Panel and Lime Green Cardstock. I added some Sparkling Clear Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh and tied some jute twine around it to finish the card off.
