Red Scooter - Unity FWF

Good morning! Popping in with a nice and bright card for Unity Friends with Flair today - as well as Virginia's View Challenge #2 - Stencil, and the Styling with Stencils Challenge in the Moxie Fab World:

I came across this image on Pinterest, which is where I got my color inspiration - it was just so bright and fun!

I used one of the adorable new itty bitty stamps I got last weekend (during one of Unity's always amazing sales) called Take off Together. I heat embossed the image and sentiment with Zing embossing powder on vellum, added a strip of washi, backed it with white cardstock, then matted it with a scrap of green pattern paper from my stash.

My background I created with a stencil and embossing paste, but on black cardstock - LOVE the striking look it gave! I added a tiny clothespin with some jute twine and some enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

Vellum and Veneer Congrats

Good morning! I'm sharing a card this morning over at My Craft Spot using some of the fun metal dies available. I love using metal dies on lots of different materials - like the wood veneer and vellum on this card:

For this card, I started off with some Avery Elle white woodgrain cardstock, misted with Seafoam and Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine, then added some splashes of Coral as well.

Once that dried, I added some gold thread in a bundle, then cut one of the new Tiny Doilies 2 Metal Dies out of vellum and adhered that. Finished off by cutting one of the Big Words Metal Dies out of Wood Veneer and adhering that over the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Ombre Thanks Friend

Good morning! I recently ordered a small pack of wood veneer - and the other day it came! I couldn't WAIT to play - so I pulled out a Paper Smooches die that I hadn't had a chance to use yet, and made this:

I thought I would play along with this weeks challenge at Paper Smooches SPARKS - Anything Goes:

I used the Friend Word Die, and added a sentiment from Scripty Sayings - heat embossed with Gold Zing embossing powder.

Pattern paper is by Crate Paper, and woodgrain cardstock is from Avery Elle. Finished off with some clusters of enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Runway Inspired Birthday Card

Good afternoon! I meant to post this earlier today - but somehow the time got away from me!

I made this for the current Runway Inspired Challenge:

I didn't notice until I was done that I missed the blue shades in the dress, but oh well! I made a watercolor background by just swiping my brush across the paper. Once that dried, I heat embossed Unity Stamp Co. Candles and Cake {wit and wisdom} stamp over the top.

I used some pattern paper from American Crafts for the background, and flicked some watercolor paints on it to pull together the colors on the front, as well as some black Heidi Swapp Color Shine. Matted everything in black, added some gold Smooch Glitz to the edges of everything, and added some jute twine topped with a cute little bow from Michael's that I picked up recently.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful afternoon!

Watercolor Chevrons

Good morning! As I said a couple of days ago - I have been having SOOO much fun with watercolors lately! So today I'm sharing another one:

I made this one for the current Avery Elle Challenge - Watercolor:

For this one, used watercolor paints to make the chevrons completely free-hand. Kind of new and brave for me!

I die cut the word "Love" using Simply Said: Love Elle-ments dies, then added the sentiment from the coordinating Simply Said: Love Clear Stamp Set. Mounted it on my white card base, off-set to the left and top so a little white cardstock is peeking out.

Did I happen to mention I love watercolors? 'Cause I do! Hope your week is off to a great start! See you soon!

Gold Love Ewe

Good morning! Stopping in with one last card for the Unity Itty Bitty a Day Challenge going on the Unity Facebook page:

I have been looking for this stamp - Love Ewe - all of last week to use for this! Finally found it for some random reason under a piece of paper! So glad - this is one of my first and favorite itty bitty stamps! I head embossed it on vellum with Zing Gold Glitter embossing powder, then hand trimmed to a banner, and attached to some pattern paper by punching two holes and threading through some May Arts ribbon.

My pattern paper is by Crate Paper, and I finished off by adding those Enamel dots from Basic Grey - they are gold glitter! Eeek! Isn't that fun? I have been hoarding them a little, but couldn't resist pulling them out for this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

Mother is a Verb

Good afternoon! Stopping in with another card for the Unity Itty Bitty a Day Challenge going on the Unity Facebook page (and playing with watercolors yet again!):

I am also playing along with the Inspired By Challenge for the week - here is the photo inspiration:

I used an itty bitty, that for some reason I had never inked up! And sadly enough, I think I have had it for about a year! It is called "Motherhood is a Verb" - and any mother can vouch for how true that is! I used some watercolors to make a background, then stamped my image over the top, before adding a bit of Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine to glam it up a bit.

Used some pattern paper from Crate Paper for my background, attached the watercolor panel, then added some pink stripe and gold washi tape. Finished off with a tiny wood veneer heart with some gold thread tied around it.

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon!
