Lovely Year Blooms - Simon Says Stamp August 2026 Card Kit

 Hello! I'm dropping by to share my first card using the newest August 2026 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Made to Flourish! This month's kit is a wonderful and eclectic mix of florals - most of them aren't really designed to work together, but instead to give you lots of fun variety for whatever technique or style you want to use! The included Made to Flourish stamp set has some adorable floral and vase images, and super cute and playful sentiments. The coordinating dies are also included in the kit, which is amazing! There are some printed floral watercolor panels, a layered floral die, an embossing folder, beautiful floral ephemera, and that's all not to mention the cardbases, watercolor cardstock, Distress Crayons, and more! And, there are also several add on sets available in the store now!

This card actually started with that lovely die cut and layered floral image. It uses the Tim Holtz Sizzix Bloom Colorize thinlit die set included in the kit, and a bunch of my tiny scraps of SSS cardstocks. All the colors are linked below if you're curious about those! I pulled out one of the GORGEOUS new Sketched Florals watercolor card fronts, and realized it would be a good fit with my florals. I wanted to have it softly coordinate, and I didn't want to spend a ton of time watercoloring, so I went with one of my default faux watercolor techniques. I blended on some Lemonade, Ballerina, Tidepool, and Limelicious inks in random sections around the outer edges using my Detail Shading brushes. Then, I misted it well with water, let the colors blend and soften, and allowed it to dry completely (helping speed it up slightly with my heat tool). Before adding the florals, I added some gold splatter with my Starry Colors palette. Sentiment is from the included Made to Flourish stamp and die set - stamped in black and cut out with the coordinating dies. I die cut extra of the tiny sentiment without stamping, and stacked them up for dimension, since it was kind of thin and I didn't want to cut lots of small foam adhesive pieces. A few Dazzling Clear gems were the perfect finishing touch! Here is a closer look at all the soft, pretty, and pastel details:

Burning Dumpster Birthday - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Whew...been a bit of a long silence here since the first of July, but finally starting to come up for air in the crazy workload, and have something fun to share again. I wanted to use some of the cute little recent sets from Simon Says Stamp - and this one was just calling my name. Anyone have one of those years where this would be the perfect birthday card? (((Raising my own hand!!!)))

I started off by stamping and heat embossing the image from Hot Mess onto watercolor paper, then coloring in with Altenew watercolors. While that dried, I masked out a line on a white cardbase with Post it Tape, and ink blended some Shark ink underneath to create a ground for it to run down the hill. I also heat embossed sentiments from the set on white paper. I added a bit of gold splatter to the background, then added the images and sentiment with foam tape, and finished off with a few Mandarin Dazzling gems to finish off! Wishing You Joy - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

  Good evening! Tonight I've got a stenciled and layered card with some beautiful flowers to share. I used a new coloring stencil that coordinates with one of my favorite older floral stamp sets - the new stencil was part of the NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp! I love how it gave new life to this beautiful set!

I used the appropriately named Beautiful Flowers set for this card - beginning by stamping the image on a panel of white cardstock with Shark ink and leaving the stamp lined up in my MISTI. I used the new coordinating stencils to add color using Ballerina and Fairy for the lighter flowers, Punch and Cabernet for the deeper ones, then Aspen and Pine for the leaves. I then put that stenciled image back in my MISTI, and restamped over the top with Dolphin ink. I thought about stamping in black, but I loved the soft look of these florals with the gray ink! I then die cut it with the coordinating die, before carefully trimming it in half. I used a cardbase created with Starlight cardstock, and adhered my florals with foam squares. Next, I stamped the sentiments from the set directly on the cardbase, then masked off with a bit of low tack tape. I then added some gold splatters with my Starry Colors palette over the florals and the cardfront. Finished off with a few Trinity Gloss White Sparkle Gems! Firefighter Hero - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Good morning! I'm back with another card today using the BRAND NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp. Today's card is a bit near and dear to my own heart and family! My dad was a volunteer firefighter when I was growing up, and both my brother and sister have been on local volunteer fire departments for years. My sister-in-law is fire commissioner for their rural fire department, and my nephew recently joined his local fire department as well. When I saw the new firefighting items in this release, I just knew I had to create something with them!

I decided to make a watercolor/ink smooshed background for my card. I used a mix of Citrine, Sherbet, and Cranberry inks, layering them up for a bright fire effect. While that dried, I die cut the new Firefighter die from black cardstock for the main image, and Sea Glass for the water coming from the hose. I also stamped my sentiments from the new Brave Firefighter stamp set, using that same Sherbet ink for the main sentiment. I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Text coordinating dies to cut the banner for the secondary sentiment - it was a perfect fit! I added some Nuvo glitter drops on top of the water, a few Pinkfresh enamel dots, and a good splatter of gold from my Starry Colors palette to finish off! Here is a closer look:

Artistic Embossed Lilac Card - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning! Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers - they may have a rather short season, but they have always felt like spring to me. Growing up, we had several bushes in varying colors. I loved the old fashioned varieties the best - I'm convinced they had a sweeter fragrance, but I don't know that I could explain it! I've had this fun embossing folder and die combination from Simon Says Stamp in my stash for a while now, and pulled it out a couple days ago, deciding it was high time I put it to use. I absolutely LOVE it - and can't believe I waited so long to use it!

I used the Pristine Lilac embossing folder and die combo, first cutting the image out of watercolor paper, then taping it in place and running it through the embossing folder. I then ink blended over it with Amethyst, Iris, Cabbage, and Kale inks before misting lightly with water. I let that dry, then carefully brushed a bit more of the deeper ink colors over the top to bring out the details again and add more depth to the image. I also added some gold splatters with my Starry Colors palette, as well as some white splatters. While that dried, I did a bit of subtle tone on tone inking on my cardbase, using Delicate Lattice stencil and the two lighter shades of ink. I first ink blended a base, then placed the stencil over top and stenciled again with the same color. I also die cut a window from a panel of white cardstock using Nested Stitched Ovals dies, and adhered that with foam adhesive over the top. I carefully tucked the finished flower into the frame, added a sentiment from Delicate Blossoms, a white twine bow, and a few Clear Dazzling Gems to finish! Beach Encouragement Card - Simon Says Stamp Sunny Vibes Release

Hello! Stopping by today to share another card using the NEW Sunny Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp! This time I'm sharing a fun, summery, beach card!

I used the new Beachcombing layering stamp set in soft tones. There are coordinating dies, but since I didn't have those, I just fussy cut out the images. I created a background by swiping a blue ink pad directly across my cardbase, then added texture by stenciling over the top in soft green using the new Wonky Chevron stencil, then adding some gold splatters with my starry colors palette. I then arranged the shells over the top, curling up the edges, and adhering with a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive. I added a sentiment from the new Bad Day Good Vibes stamp set, using two tones of brown ink for an ombre effect on the stamping, and black ink for the smaller sentiments. Finished off with some sparkly Stickles over part of the images, a rounded corner, and a few soft green clear drops to finish off! Here are more photos of the finished card:

Floral Birthday Wishes - Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release IG Hop

Good morning! Today I'm joining a fun Instagram hop to celebrate the Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp! Lots of inspiration to be found, and some great prizes as well! But as always with an Insta hop, there are only so many details you can get in that tiny caption, so I always like to do a full blog post with ALL the details! 

I used 3 different colors of Concord and 9th cardstock, and then chose Pawsitively Saturated inks that coordinated with the cardstock, tone on tone, but slightly deeper, I blended around the outer edges of the panels, and then in the centers of each flower. This helped the embossing to pop! I added some splatters of the white gold color from my Starry Colors palette, a few sparkly Iridescent clear drops to the centers of the flowers, and some birthday sentiments from the Birthday Basics stamp set, cut with the coordinating dies, and mounted with foam adhesive.
