He is my joy and my song - Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Good morning! Stopping by with a card this morning for the current Reverse Confetti SFYTT (stands for Sketch For You To Try) - and there are a couple days left to enter if you haven't already!

The current sketch can be found HERE:
I layered lots of pattern paper for my card - and die cut the Butterfly from Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts out of pattern paper without the coordinating dies. The sentiment is from My Heart Trusts and was heat embossed on vellum, then I used my paper trim to cut it into a thin strip, using scissors to cut around the "joy" word. I added some clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh on there as well - using those to disguise the tiny dots of adhesive I added to hold the vellum piece in place.

I also used a frame from All Framed Up Dies, and Edge Essentials for the tiny pinked edges on the diagonal panel.

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on this card - click on the picture if you want to learn more about any of these items!

Unity Hip Hop - Simple Boat Silhouette Card

Good evening! It's that fun time when the Unity Stamp Company Design Team has their monthly Hip Hop! I have a super clean and simple card using one of the new releases - and a Quick Tip video for it as well!

Here is the video:

I wanted it to look as if the sun was behind the boat, and then the blue for the sky around that.

I love the simpleness of this card - and yet how it draws your eyes right to the image and sentiment and focuses you there!

I tiny bit of jute twine at the bottom finishes it off!

There are also tons of sales to celebrate the new releases!

Here are links to the products I used on this including affiliate links where possible - and below that the rest of the stops along the hop - make sure and visit them all! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!

Watercolor Gingham Birthday Card

Good morning! Back with another card this morning using some stamps and dies from a recent Simon Says Stamp release. I wanted to take this sort of spring theme stamp set and it's coordinating dies - Friendship Blooms - and create something a little more suited to summer and early fall - here is what I came up with:

Here is what I grabbed from Pinterest for my inspiration - those colors just seemed like perfect choices for the transition from summer to fall!

I first stamped the Simon Says Stamp Gingham Background in Clear Embossing ink on my watercolor paper, then stamped the sentiment in black Pigment ink, and finally, sprinkled clear embossing powder over it all. I was then able to use the invisible gingham as an emboss resist with watercolor. I stamped and die cut several images from my stamp set, arranged them over my watercolor piece, then used Press and Seal to pick it up, apply adhesive, and then attach. I added some of the Nuvo Glitter Drops in Moondust Silver that came in the September Card Kit of the Month from Simon Says Stamp for a bit of sparkle, and added some silver sequins and clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.
