January 2018 Favorites and Giveaway

Good morning! The past couple years I have had so much fun looking back over the past year and sharing a recap of my favorites from each month - and it's time of year again! It's so fun to see how my style has changed or sometimes stayed the same throughout the year and to be reminded of techniques I haven't tried in a while either. It is also nice to have a little time to catch my breath and spend time with family, and spend a bit less time in the craft room - or at least spend time working ahead for a busy new year! :)

In January 2018, I had 43 posts (not counting last years favorites)! That's a LOT of blog posts!

I have posted links to the original post under each photo in case you missed it or would like more details! I am also going to box up some surprise goodie boxes filled with some gently used (and a few new) crafty goodies and pick a winner or two from any comments left on these 12 monthly recap posts (not each individual link from these posts!) - so if you're interested, make sure and leave a comment! I'm so grateful for each of you that has been part of this journey for me!

Christmas Note Cards - on the Reverse Confetti Blog

Hello! I have a new edition of Wednesday in the Works on the Reverse Confetti Blog and YouTube Channel this morning - this morning I have a fun and simple set of notecards that you can use for SO many different last minute Christmas ideas! Need stocking stuffers? Write a quick little "coupon" gift on each of these and tuck them in as a sweet gift (i.e. a hug, night off of chores, help with homework, etc...). Or, use them as gift tags to put on those gifts as you're wrapping them. Or tuck them in lunchboxes as a quick note for the last day or two of school before holiday break. As you can see - the possibilities are endless!

I used a huge assortment of fun Reverse Confetti products - starting with Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts, and Kindness Cards Stamp Set, a rainbow of cardstock, and coordinating dye ink. Then I used darling sentiments and images from Sweet Holiday, Christmas Bear, Holiday Gnomes, Bearing Gifts, Cool Friend, and Christmas Cheer.

Winter Hello - Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share one final card created with the BRAND NEW January Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Snow Much! I love all the fun and playful elements of this kit! The stamp set - Snow Much - is darling, there is a beautiful die called Twirling Ice Skatergorgeous pattern paper from Echo Park, and lots of other fun little elements! Today's card is nice and bright and bold, and really embraces the bright fun colors of this kit!

I used one of the included black tags and heat embossed my image and sentiment from the Snow Much stamp set in white on it. I love the almost chalkboard feel of these tags! I added some white detail around the edge with the white gel pen in the kit, and some red twine from my stash to the top of the tag. Finished off with some of the pattern paper from the kit, die cut with Stitched Rectangles, and matted it with some black and red cardstock, then added the tag on top with foam adhesive!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

What are you most excited to play with first from this kit?

Bright Floral Painted Thanks - Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge

Good morning! Stopping by with a card this morning for this month's Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge - the fun monthly challenge at Reverse Confetti!

This month's theme is Thank You:

For my card today, I pulled out my long neglected Zig Brush Pens and did some faux watercolor stamping with the beautiful Elegant Florals stamp set, and my MISTI to line it all up. I basically picked a couple of greens and a couple of pinks, scribbled over part of the flowers and leaves, and kept stamping and layering color until I was happy with it - such a gorgeous effect!

I die cut it with the coordinating Elegant Florals Confetti Cuts, layered it on a Grid Stitched Tag, then added a die cut thanks from Hello & Thanks Label Confetti Cuts - die cut 3 times, layered together for dimension, then with some Parakeet Dye Ink blended on the bottom to make it pop a little. Finished off with some sheer ribbon tied on the top, and some lovely pattern paper from the Cheerful & Kind 6x6 Pattern Paper pad - distressing the edges a bit to add some texture there as well.

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on this card - click on the picture if you want to learn more about any of these items!
