Totally Worth Celebrating - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made last week for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. Last week I took a break from our super popular Holiday release, and threw it back to some previously released sets - one of which had recently been restocked! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I used a beautiful previous release that was a collaboration with Altenew - Celebrate Today. I stamped and heat embossed it, then ink blended with Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, and Bubble Gum ink for an emboss resist effect.

Used the negative space of the die cut to create a shaker card - filled with a few different colors of Essentials Jewels mix, and some sparkly glitter. It really is a magical effect with those together for a shaker card! Added a sentiment with the reverse foiled Celebrate sentiment using the brand new Solid Hot Foil plate that is releasing next week (can't WAIT!).

Mounted it all on a navy cardbase, and decided it needed a bit of extra texture, so we die cut some Leafy Branches from white cardstock and tucked them around the edges, before finishing off with a few Metallic Gold Pearls.

Autumn Thanks - Pretty Pink Posh September Release Instagram Hop

Good morning! Today I'm celebrating the new September Release from Pretty Pink Posh by joining Day 2 of the Instagram Release Hop! You can head over to Instagram to join that hop, and enter to win today's giveaways, and you can find the new release HERE. I thought I would share more details here on my blog on my card - since it is always tough to put enough info in an Instagram post!

I love all the fall goodness in this release - and couldn't resist putting together two cards with all the warm cozy colors of fall!

For this first card, I used the new Elegant Pumpkin die, layered over the frame portion from the coordinating dies for Fall Circles stamp set. I added a subtle background to my card base using the new Leaves Background stencil and some Antique Linen Distress ink.

I mounted the frame with foam adhesive on the background, added a sentiment using the new Woodland Thanks stamp set and Coordinating die, and a bit of sparkle with a few Metallic Gold jewels that were released previously. Love that the larger sentiment has a coordinating die, so you can pop it up with foam for dimension!

Next up, you know I couldn't resist a shaker card with some of the fun new clay embellishments! I used that same cardstock as the last card for my cardbase, and then used the new Leaf Frame die to create the shaker element.

I filled it with the new Autumn Days clay embellishment mix, and added a sentiment from the new Falling Leaves stamp set and Coordinating dies.

Which kind of card do you prefer? Lots of stenciled and die cut layers, or a fun shaker card?

I Just Wanna Hug You - Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit

Hello! I'm back with another card using with the BRAND NEW October 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - So Talkative! This month's kit is super different and modern - and all about the fun sentiments! The included stamp set by the same name is full of great sentiments in a simple bold font, there is a perfect Talk Bubbles stencil, a super cool Friend Outline word die, a fun embossing folder, lovely SSS blending brush - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

For today's card, I played with the Friend Outline die and a bunch of the cardstock from the kit. This card might be a bit heavy with all those cardstock layers! :)

I started off by die cutting the Friend Outline die from a strip of the holographic paper. I was going to use the outlines, but then started looking at how fun it was to leave the outlines out, and let some stripes of solid cardstock show through - so I went with that. I layered some fun colors cut into thin strips at an angle on some Cream cardstock, then added the negative and solid letters of the Friend Outline die inside.

I trimmed everything off, and added a sentiment from the stamp set that went well with the large friend word, then took those same colors of cardstock, trimmed them down a bit larger than the front panel, and adhered them one at a time at a fun angle behind it. I love how all the colors peek out in fun angles all around! I finished by adhering that panel with foam onto a white cardbase. Do you see the fun holographic envelope from the kit tucked under the card as well?

So Many Happy Thoughts - Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit

Hello! I'm here today to share my first card with the BRAND NEW October 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - So Talkative!

This card kit just lends itself perfectly to clean and simple card designs - so of course that is what I created! I started off by using the fun new Kaleidoscope embossing folder on some white cardstock, as well as some of the Burn Orange in the kit. I trimmed that panel into a diagonal strip so that it would create a band across the card front.

Next, I used two colors if distress oxide inks to blend over one of the Talk Bubbles stencil, and added a sentiment stamped over the top before fussy cutting out to mount with foam adhesive. Finished off with a few sparkly clear sequins!

Christmas Cards - Simon Says Stamp Holy Night Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in today to share a couple cards with a beautiful NEW Limited Edition Holy Night Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp! This is such a beautiful kit - and I love how it is focused on the real reason for the season as well!

I love that huge sparkly star - and thought that little sheep looked perfect looking up at it - so I created a scene with that idea!

I die cut the star a three times from white cardstock, and one time from gold glitter cardstock. I layered and paper pieced them together, and added the top white layer with just a dot of liquid glue in the center, so I could leave the edges to float free for dimension.

I added a hill using Drifting Stitches die on white cardstock, then stamped, colored, and fussy cut out that sweet little sheep to put on the hill.

I added a gold pearl in the center of the star, and stamped my sentiment on the bottom!

Next up, I thought the Holy City Skyline stencils were super fun, so I did a light and bright card with those - instead of the expected dark night sky!

I just did one layer of the buildings, and used some soft brown ink, with yellow over the top for the windows. I added the stars in blue ink, then stamped a sentiment over the top in black.

I did a bit of ink blending around the edges with the same brown ink, just softer, to take the white edge off and soften the edges a bit.

Finished off by matting that panel with some of the gold cardstock in the kit, and some of the yellow pattern paper, before mounting on a white cardbase!
