New Peachy Keen Kit of the Month Sneak Peaks!!!
Good morning!!! I am SOOOO EXCITED to share with you a sneak of the brand new Peachy Kit of the Month that will be available Saturday morning at 8 AM Eastern - you can click HERE to get the info for the current kit, and be ready for Saturday!!! Here is my sneak:
Seriously - are they not the cutest thing ever?!?!?! I definitely am amazed that each of these kits seems to keep getting better and better!!! So far this is for sure my favorite!
I did lots of paper-piecing and fussy cutting on these (ack...hand cramp just thinking about it!) - but the end result was so worth it! All my papers came from one of the new My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pads.
I also used my Copics to outline the pattern paper that I used to piece together the clothing, then used Copics for some of the other areas.
I put some turquoise thread in my sewing machine, and did lots of zig zag stitching, and did a straight stitch with some green thread on the center panel.
The gnomes, flower wreath, and sentiment are all pop-dotted from the card for lots of fun dimension.
As with all the other kits, I love that the faces are interchangeable, which means you can use them on other projects as well!
I added some Glossy Accents on the eyes, centers of the flowers, and over the top of the whole sentiment piece. It doesn't show much in the picture, but you can see it in real life - SOOO cute!
And there you have it! Total Peachy cuteness!!!
I have a feeling I am going to have to protect these from my daughters!!! The first thing they said when the saw the set was "Gnomeo and Juliet"!!! So...yeah...they love them too!
Anyway - can't wait to reveal the entire set (and all the super cute extra sets!!!) - I promise you will LOVE them!!! See you soon!
Unity Friends with Flair - You never leave me hanging!
Good morning to another Friday - and another Unity Friends with Flair!!!
I was so excited when my new KOTM showed up in the mail this week - so I had to ink it up as quickly as possible! I also used my new Theresa Collins 6x6 paper pad.
Isn't that the cutest image and sentiment? I did a bunch of machine stitching on this as well.
The buttons and the twine they are tied with is from Paper Trey Ink - and wanna know a secret? They were an afterthought...cause I got inky fingers and left a smudge there - so I had to cover it up!
The tension on my sewing machine was a little messed up, and I had a different color thread in the bobbin, but I am actually quite pleased with the effect - however unintentional it was! I also sewed on some pom pom trim from my stash.
Finished off by inked the edges of the papers with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen, and Walnut Stain.
Thanks for stopping by - make sure and head over to the Unity Blog for all the details on Friends with Flair and join the fun!

MFT Getting Sketchy #59 - A Simple and Sweet Card
Okay - when I started this card, I actually planned on paper piecing and coloring the whole thing, but when I put her on the papers I chose, I just couldn't get over how sweet and simple it looked - so I did do anything else to it! I made this card for the My Favorite Things Getting Sketchy #59:
And here is the sketch I followed:
I used (once again) one of the Pure Innocence line of stamps from My Favorite Things.
The papers are all from a Theresa Collins 6x6 paper stack called Spring Fling.
I added some machine stitching in two different colors of thread (and I think I must be getting older...'cause it's getting harder and harder to thread that stinkin' little needle!)
I also inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.
The final piece, the banner, was just hand-trimmed and stamped with the sentiment.
And that's it! I just love when I card comes together that quickly and easily!!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I can't wait to share some of the stuff I have been working on this week with you! Wait until you see the adorable new Peachy Keen stamps!!! Made me totally SQUEAL when I saw them! You will LOVE them - I promise!!! I also noticed that I am almost at 500 followers (NEVER in my wildest dreams did I imagine that would ever happen!) - so be looking for a special giveaway to celebrate!!! See you back here soon!

Peachy Keen Card Challenge - Friendship!!!
It's that time of the week for a new challenge over at Peachy Keen!!! This week, we want you card makers to show us your skills!!! Make a card with a friendship theme, and make sure to use those Peachy Keen stamps for a chance to win Top Peach for the week and bring home a peachy prize!!! Here is my card for this weeks challenge:
I was so excited when I saw the challenge for this week - because cards are what I like to do best! So I pulled out my poor old dusty Cricut again (poor thing has been neglected lately!) and my Country Life cartridge, along with my Peachy faces, and whipped out these cute cherries!
I added some cute faces using Peachy Keen's In Stitches Face Assortment.
I embossed the kraft paper with my Cuttlebug, leaving the top part smooth to place my sentiment. The sentiment is a rub on from October Afternoon (I think it is an older set) that I got in one of their Santa Sacks last December. I added some sheer green polka dot ribbon across the seam between the embossed and not embossed paper, then wrapped a little Papertrey Ink button twine around and tied a bow with a Papertrey Ink button.
I used a Copic marker to make the blushing cheeks on the cherries, then used my white gel pen to add freckles and color in the mouths and noses.
I also inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen, and used Walnut Stain for the card base to make it a little darker.
Finished off with a thin black mat, some faux stitching on the cherries, and pop-dotted the cherries from the background!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll join us in this weeks challenge! Can't wait to see what you create!!!
Unity Pinterest Winter CHA 2012 Challenge
Good morning! It's Friday, so time for Unity Friends with Flair, but I also made this card for the Unity Pinterest Winter CHA 2012 Challenge (this link will take you to all the info). The picture probably won't be posted on the Pinterest board for another day or so, but here is the LINK to the where it will be posted. On March 15th, the pin with the most votes gets 6 months free Stamp of the Week!!! (So...if you felt inspired to vote - I wouldn't complain at all...) Anyway, here is my card:
I used the Itty Bitty, It's a Party - isn't that one of the cutest elephants ever?!?!?!?!? I paper pieced him on pattern paper, then stacked and stitched a couple of circles together, inking the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink.
I also put a bit of Diamond Glaze on the hat and stand, and curved the sentiment by stamping it without applying to a clear block - that way it would actually curve! I then put loops of crinkle ribbon all the way around the edges.
And...just because it is FUN - I put it on an Action Wobble!!! These things totally make a card so much fun! Here is a couple shots of it in action:
All the paper I used is from Basic Grey's Picadilly Collection, and I did lots of machine stitching and inking on the edges.
Finished off with just a bit of bling, using my Jolee's heat set tool.
Thanks so much for looking! And if you didn't already come over from the Unity Stamp Co. Blog, make sure and check out how to win some free stamps by joining in with Friends with Flair!
