My Craft Spot Monday Challenge - Invitations and Announcements

Hello! First off I wanted to give a quick reminder to check out my Moving Sale if you want to do a bit of shopping! Today is the last day to make a purchase and have a chance to win a little something extra...so click HERE or on the tab above called CRAFTY STUFF FOR SALE.

It's that time of the week again - time for a new challenge over at My Craft Spot! This weeks challenge is Invitations and Announcements. I know this might be a bit of a stretch - but I thought this might make a really cute birthday party invitation! Here is what I made:
I started off this card with my color scheme in mind! As I was tucking my daughters into bed the other night, she had picked a tank top in that lovely apricot orange color, and turquoise knit shorts. I fell in LOVE with the color combo right there, and determined to make a card with it! She was pretty happy to see the finished project, and know she helped inspire me!
I used papers from Studio Calico, and Echo Park to find my color combo. The oval and scallop frame were cut on my Cricut using Lacey Labels. The silhouette is from A Child's Year.
I cut the sentiment banner from the Theresa Collins cartridge, Sophisticated. I then stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz distress ink, and the My Craft Spot stamp set called Birthday Wishes. (Click HERE to see all of the available stamp sets) I curled the banner a bit before attaching it to my card with two pieces of foam adhesive - so it gave it a bit of the look of a flag.

Even though this is for an announcement/invitation challenge, I will probably use this as a birthday card (shhhh...don't tell!) - so I added this sentiment to the inside:
Before I attached the silhouette and frame, I tied some Crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot in Caribbean underneath, and added a bow on each side, topped with a stick on pearl. (Click HERE to check out all the crinkle ribbon available at My Craft Spot - it is all so beautiful!)
Then...I used foam adhesive for the silhouette, and also the frame - so lots of dimension!
I'm so glad to see you again this morning! Make sure and head over to My Craft Spot to see what the rest of the Design Team created for this challenge (and there are some adorable projects this time around!) - and to make sure and link up your own creation for a chance to win this weeks prize!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

New Peachy Keen - Pencils

Hello! First off I wanted to give a quick reminder to check out my Moving Sale if you want to do a bit of shopping! There are still a couple of days left to make a purchase and have a chance to win a little something extra...so click HERE or on the tab above called CRAFTY STUFF FOR SALE.

I'm back again today with details on another of the cards I posted for the Peachy Keen sneak peeks on Friday! Here is the card I'm filling in the details on for today:
One thing I LOVE about all of the Peachy Keen kits, is the versatility! I love that there are so many images, and then all the cute faces that you can interchange to put the expressions you want on the different images! Truly - the possibilities are endless!
For this card, I pulled out my October Afternoon Sidewalks papers - they are SOOO perfect for these images! I paper pieced the pencils, and colored part of them with Copics. Added the cute face, and accented with a white gel pen on the eyes, and some pink marker for the cheeks.
They were then mounted with pop dots on a doily (I think I might be in danger of becoming addicted to doilies here lately!)
Added a sentiment from the kit, inking the edges with some Tim Holtz distress ink.
And finished off with some Baker's Twine wrapped around and tied in a bow!
Thanks again for stopping in! If you didn't remember - make sure and stop by tonight for the new release party over on the Peachy Keen Connection! Click HERE to read the details so you can join in the reveal of the new sets, and play along in the challenges for some great prizes!!!

New Peachy Keen Stamps - Teacher

Hello! First off I wanted to give a quick reminder to check out my Moving Sale if you want to do a bit of shopping! There are still a couple of days left to make a purchase and have a chance to win a little something extra...so click HERE or on the tab above called CRAFTY STUFF FOR SALE.

Now, as promised, I am filling in the details a bit on the cards I posted on Friday as sneak peeks of the upcoming Peachy Keen August release. I also forgot to mention that the release party with be this Sunday, August 5th at 6PM CST - click HERE to head to the Facebook event page and read all the details! This is the first card I made to share:
Isn't that teacher image the cutest? I made this card for my Godmother - who is the most inspiring and amazing teacher I know (or I have been convinced of that since I was a kid)! She drove up to visit a week or two ago and do the homeschool evaluations for our two kids. So I wanted to make her a thank you card, and the new Peachy Kit for August was PERFECT!!!
I used paper from Studio Calico, and paper pieced the teacher, and colored her with Copic markers.
That little memo background is also from the newest Kit - how fun!!! I attached my cute teacher with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.
The sentiments in this release are super fun too!
I also inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink.
So there is card number one with the new releases! I will see you again tomorrow with the details on the next card!

A late Unity FWF post - Wedding Card

I'm a little late with my Unity Friends with Flair post today, but have had this card ready to post for a couple of weeks now, and just hadn't gotten it done! This is the wedding card I made for my husband's older brother and his new bride! They got married about 2 weeks ago. I am also linking this up to the Unity Monthly challenge - I Do:
I used a Spellbinder's Die, and an image from one of the Kits of the Month...can't remember which one right now, and I think it's already packed! Sorry 'bout that! I also used the worn music background on there as well.
The paper is by Crate Paper, and I added some yummy ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, as well as a couple of stick on gems.
There is a doily tucked in there as well, and I used a bit of Copic marker for a dab of extra color.
Sorry it's so short and sweet! But thanks for stopping by!!!

Place cards with background stamps...

Hi there! Haven't had much crafty time lately it seems, so thought I would share something I worked on a while ago and hadn't had a chance to share yet!
I did these with a friend of mine - she needed something cute to label food at a birthday party. So...we went to work and this is what we came up with! We cut all the tags with my Cricut - and I can't for the LIFE of me remember which cartridge I found the label shape on! We stamped them with several different Peachy Keen background stamps, and a Market Street background stamp using Tim Holtz distress ink in various colors. We cut out an oval for each one, inked the edges in the same distress ink color, and stuck that on to leave a space to write. Finished off by wrapping a bit of jute twine from Ribbon Carousel around and tying a simple knot.
Here is one in action - isn't it pretty?!?!?!

On a side note - I added a bundle of random Unity stamps to my sale page - and there are still a few more days to make a purchase and have a chance at the paper pad prize!!! Click HERE - or on the tab above that says CRAFTY STUFF FOR SALE to read all the details!

I'm having a moving sale!!! With a chance to win some OA Cakewalk papers!

Hi there! Since I am moving in about 2 weeks...and need to clear some things out, I am having a BIG moving sale!!! I still love these items, which means I am a little sad to let them go, but when you have so many things that you can't find anything...then it's time to thin out! And before moving seems like the perfect opportunity!!!

To make it more fun ( and hopefully help it all sell fast...), if you make a purchase before August 7th, I will draw one name to win an 8x8 October Afternoon Cakewalk paper pack!!! One entry for each item purchased...so if you purchase 1 item, 1 entry - or 3 items, 3 entries - or 10 items, 10 entries...you get the idea! So I will ship all items out on or about August 7th, so I can include this in the winners package - here is a pic:
