Bold Summer Greetings - Pretty Pink Posh June Release Instagram Hop

Good morning! Today I'm celebrating the new June Release from Pretty Pink Posh by joining Day 1 of the Instagram Release Hop! I thought I would share more details here on my blog on my card - since it is always tough to put enough info in an Instagram post! 

This card was super fun and easy to put together! I started off with the fun Squiggles Stencil, and ink blended two shades of Pinkfresh Studio inks over the top - Sweet Mustard and Apricot, blending them in the center.

I heat embossed the adorable Summer Wreath in white on black cardstock for a bold look, then die cut with the coordinating dies. I also die cut one of the new Stacked Edges 3 dies from white cardstock, and used that to tuck under the wreath and add my sentiment from the same stamp set as the wreath. Aren't all those cute summery images so fun?!?

I also used a few of the fun embellishments from the fun new and summery Clay Confetti Wheel #3 - the lemon and orange slices were perfect to create a color coordinating border along that die cut to match the ink blending behind them!

And that's all there was to this card - super bright and fun...hard to capture in photos how bright and happy it is in real life!

Ink Blended Highlight and Simple Stamping - on the Unity Stamp Company Blog

Miss You Hippo - Pretty Pink Posh June Release Blog Hop

 Good morning! I'm excited today to be hopping along for day 1 of a 3 day blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW June Release from Pretty Pink Posh (also available in a bundle HERE if you just want it all!)! There is such a fun mix of products in this release! Keep reading for more info, details on my card I'm sharing today, AND of course, some giveaway info at the bottom as well!

I had fun playing with one of the adorable new stamp sets, a sentiment die, and a fun new border die to create this card!

I started off by ink blending the top background using Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin distress inks. I used Post it Tape to mask and create the rays in the background and blended extra of the same Carved Pumpkin over itself to make it a shade darker. I also added some white paint splatters for texture.

Next, I die cut the waves with the new Stitched Waves die set in 3 shades of Spellbinders cardstock. I layered them up, placing the first one on foam tape on the cardbase, and just using adhesive tape for the other layers, but curling up the edges of the waves to enhance that texture.

I colored up that adorable hippo from the Summer Fun stamp set, and tucked him in between some of the waves, attaching him with foam adhesive so he looked like he really was floating on the waves!

Finished off with a sentiment die cut in white using the brand new Miss You Script Die - so nice and big, and perfect for this card. I glued it directly on the card, but tucked the bottom of the "y" over the top of the waves for fun.

Thank You Wreath - Simon Says Stamp July 2021 Card Kit

 Hello! I'm here today to share my first card with the BRAND NEW July 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Garden Greetings! This kit is summery and full of gorgeous blooms! The included stamp set by the same name has some beautiful wreaths and swags - as well as some great sentiments, there is some lovely pattern paper, a sweet little scripty hugs die - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more! 

I started off by heat embossing that gorgeous wreath from the Garden Greetings stamp set in the kit in clear on white cardstock, then ink blended with various distress inks over the top so that the heat embossed portion resisted the ink. I stamped the main sentiment in the center of that in black, then die cut the entire thing with a basic circle die.

On a white cardbase, I stamped the floral swag two times - once on the bottom, and once on the top, so it was peaking out from under the circle when I mounted it with foam adhesive. I also heat embossed a tiny secondary sentiment from the stamp set in white on black cardstock, trimmed it down, and mounted with a bit more foam adhesive. Finished off with a few of the pretty Orca sequins in the kit!

Sea You Soon - Simon Says Stamp Rainbows Release

 Hello! Stopping by today with another card using a couple of stamp sets from the brand new Rainbows release from Simon Says Stamp - I used similar supplies for a couple of mini slimline cards for the release hop last week, so thought I'd share another version I made!

The fun Sea and Sky cling background separates into 3 pieces, so you can stamp in different colors of ink. It is a large stamp - which is why I used it for two mini slimline cards for last weeks cards. But I wanted to make a standard A2 size card as well, and it's easy to trim down to accomplish that.

I stamped with Pinkfresh Studio inks - Summer Shower for the sky portion, Seaside for the waves (then colored with Copic markers), and Warm Buff for the sand.

I added the sentiments, birds in the sky, and the starfish using the new Seas and Greetings stamp set. I also added some white paint splatters to the scene for some texture.

I trimmed that panel down to be slightly smaller than my white cardbase, then adhered it directly down - keeping it nice and flat to mail!

I also used a white gel pen to add a few more extra dots on the starfish - so hard to see them in the photos, but I promise it's there. Isn't this such a perfect simple and serene scene?

Fresh Garden Wreath Card - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

 Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I used a die from the recent Essentials Release - and paired it up with a couple items from previous releases. It was fun layering everything together for this card! I am absolutely in LOVE with the new Garden Wreath die set - I hadn't had much opportunity to use it before it went out of stock, so I was excited to see that there were some in stock, and couldn't wait to use it for a live video. I die cut it from various colors of Concord and 9th Cardstock - cut all the leaves out with 3 different shades of green, and the flowers out with two shades of coral. I also cut the wreath 2 times from white cardstock, and used that as the base to layer all the greenery on.

Once the wreath was assembled, I added some soft stenciling to the square card base using Coral Reef and Fresh Pear ink over the two layers of Diamond Plaid layering stencil at the same time. Just a soft touch of color for the background that was pretty fun, but not overwhelming.

Added a frame using Stitched Scallop Squares - if you watched the live, you might know that I was undecided on if I was going to use both parts of the colored frame - or just leave the outside portion white. When the live finished, I ended up adding the darker frame, and I really like it, so I'm glad I went that way! Added some Peach Fuzz jewels sprinkled around, as well as in the centers of the flowers on the wreath.

I also had planned to leave it without a sentiment, but I also decided after the live that this hot foiled sentiment from Perfect Sentiments was a perfect addition, so I added it on as well. I think that was exactly what it needed to finish it off!

Hexagons, Leaves, and Florals - Pinkfresh Studio

 Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a special birthday card I made for my daughter's 18th yesterday! I always seem to feel extra pressure to make the perfect card when it's for someone specific, and especially when it is such a special occasion, so I put a little extra thought and time into this card, and I LOVE how it came out!

I went to her Pinterest board for inspiration to start - and ended up using THIS image as my inspiration. I pulled out lots of Pinkfresh goodies and set to work!

I started off by die cutting 3 sizes of hexagons using Basic Label Frames and some Honey Gold cardstock. I also die cut some of those adorable little leaves from Garden Wreath Die, and colored each one with Copic markers to get the custom color I wanted. I also cut a couple additional leaves from gold cardstock, and some of those flowers from white cardstock.

I die cut a panel of white cardstock using Diagonal Stitched Rectangles, then mounted the hexagons with foam adhesive. I layered the leaves around them, some under, and some on top, tucking the gold ones in a couple places as well. Then I added a few of those adorable white flowers.

I added a hot foiled sentiment using Celebrate hot foil and coordinating die, adhered a few Glacier jewels on the flowers and sprinkled around the background. Finished off by mounting the entire panel on a cardbase created with Lawn Fawn Speckled Eggshell cardstock!

I can't decide what my favorite part of this card is - but it is definitely one of my favorite cards ever!
