Forever in My Heart - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I've got a fun artsy-fartsy style card to share today, using lots of supplies from Simon Says Stamp, and branching out a bit more from my usual style! I had lots of fun creating this card!

This card started with my trying a random technique that sounded fun! I used one of the Rounded Hearts dies to cut from a panel of white cardstock, then used that as a stencil. On a panel of plain white cardstock (not even watercolor paper), I used my Gansai Tambai watercolors through the stencil. These watercolors function a bit as a gouache paint if you use less water, so I used a slightly damp wide paint brush, and 3 different colors to swipe over the stencil I created. I ended up with a touch too much moisture, so I didn't get as clean of lines as I had hoped for. Instead of giving up, I decided to run with that messy look! So I used a fine line Sharpie and drew some lines around the outside, drawing one as close to the edges as possible, one slightly inside, and one slightly outside. Then I added some black splatter to finish off the messy look. I loved how it turned out! I used a score board to add some scored lines for extra texture (hard to see in the photo), added a frame using A2 Scalloped Rectangles, tied arounds ome black and white baker's twine, stamped a sentiment from Loving You Bouquet, and finished off with a few Lilac Dazzling gems before adhering that entire panel on a coordinating cardbase created with Concord and 9th cardstock! Here are more photos of this fun and messy creation:

Love You Sweet Friend - Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart Release

Good morning! I have had so much fun playing with the Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp - and today I'm sharing another card featuring several new items from the release!

This card features another one of the lovely embossing folders in the release - Fancy Rose Bouquet (I also used it HERE on another project!). This time after embossing on Spellbinders Bellini cardstock, I added some soft ink blending over the top with a small blending brush. I used Peachy, Grapefruit, and Punch inks. I framed it with some Concord and 9th cardstock, creating a frame with A2 Rectangles dies. For the sentiment, I stamped the large sentiment from Words of Love, and die cut a couple extra layers to adhere together for a more dimensional sentiment. I added secondary sentiments from Reverse Love EZ strips sentiment strips, popped up on foam adhesive strips, then finished off with a sprinkle of Clear Dazzling Gems for sparkle! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Cedar Bough Birthday Duo - Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart Release

Good morning! I'm hopping back today to share a couple of birthday cards using the Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp! I love how these have a great masculine feeling, but would also work for the ladies in your life. And who doesn't need more birthday cards around?!?

I started these cards off by embossing the fun new Cedar Sprigs embossing folder on two shades of green Concord and 9th cardstock, then splattered the debossed side with some White Splatter. I then used Birthday Palooza for the sentiments, heat embossing in clear on the same two shades of green for a nice subtle pop of the large sentiments, then die cut and reversed the colors on the backgrounds. I added a tiny strip of that same alternating color of cardstock to the bottom of the panels as well. The secondary sentiments are from the same Birthday Palooza set - I stamped and die cut the larger word, then used it to cover up the smaller "birthday" word on the sentiment that was trimmed into a thin strip. Finished off with a few coordinating Pinkfresh clear drops in Emerald City! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Paper Hug Friend - Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart Release

Good morning! I'm back today with a fun card using LOTS of new items from the Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp! This card mixed together some techniques I haven't tried before, and the result is definitely out of my normal card type, but I'm very happy with how it turned out! Very layered and textures, and I love the color scheme!

I started off by embossing the new Heart Wreath embossing folder on some Concord and 9th cardstock. I then used the reverse or debossed side of that panel, and swiped a white pigment ink pad across the surface. It left a fun texture on the flat areas, and left the debossed areas darker with the color of the cardstock! To add some more texture, I used the text stamp image from Heart Suite with Salmon ink to stamp in a few areas over the top. LOVE that extra touch! Next, I stamped and white heat embossed the floral image from the new Loving You Bouquet on vellum, and die cut with the coordinating dies, then trimmed that image in half (always scary, but worth it, I promise!). I die cut a couple of the Basic Hearts from white cardstock, then stamped that same text on part of the smaller one but in Shell ink, and blended a bit of the Shell and Salmon inks around the outer edges of each heart. I also stamped and die cut the larger sentiment from Heart Suite, and added a secondary sentiment from EZ Strips Reverse Love sentiment strips. A few Ballet Slipper embellishments finish this card off! Here are several more photos showing off all the fun details:

Hey Girl - Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart Release

Good morning! I'm still sharing more cards with the amazing Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp! I tried something new on this card with the sentiment, and I love the finished effect!

To start off, I used the new Wirework Hearts embossing folder on some Concord and 9th cardstock - and WOW! This folder is so fun - I love the incredibly deep impression it gives, and it's such a fun design as well! Next, I die cut the new Fancy Hey Girl die, and used the exact same shade of cardstock for the shadow layer as the embossed panel. I love how when layered together, the shadow layer kind of blends into the background, but is also a smooth surface to make the white die cut sentiment pop just right! Before adhering the layers together with foam adhesive, I wrapped around the tied a bow with some Lawn Fawn Twine. I added a supporting sentiment from Reverse Love EZ Strip sentiment strips, and a few Honey Bee pearls to finish it off! Here are more photos of the finished card:

My Heart is With You - Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart Release

Good morning! Whew - this past weekend my oldest daughter got married - if you follow me on social media, you may have seen a couple photos sharing about it. So exciting, and so beautiful, and also a whirlwind of work and emotions! I ended up taking quite a bit of time last week to focus on wedding preparations, and then unplugging yesterday to rest and recover a bit from the exhaustion. And now that she is off on her honeymoon, it's time for me to dig in and catch up on things in this neck of the woods!

So today, I've got another card to share using the BRAND NEW Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp!

This card used a product I had been wanting to challenge myself with for a while - using an acetate cardbase! I think there were some easier choices I could have made for the design, but I do love how this turned out! I used the new Falling Snow die for the background, cut from Bubblegum glitter cardstock. I die cut and assembled the new Bundled Snowman die, and My Heart is with You sentiment die, and adhered those on the glittery snow background. I then adhered it to my acetate cardbase with sturdy adhesive tape, but only behind the snowman and sentiments. I then die cut the base of both of those items 3 more times each, and adhered one on the reverse side of the front, one sandwiched opposite on the inside panel, and one on the back. All together, this allowed none of the adhesive to show, and an open spot on the inside to write a small note! I'll have a short video on my Instagram if you want to check it out a little better! Here are more photos:

Pastel Tree Card Duo - Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2025 Release

Good morning! I've got a set of cards today featuring a fun new large die from the NEW DieCember Release at Simon Says Stamp - these cards are very similar, but with a subtle difference. I love this color combo so much!

I used the Forest Background die for both of these cards, and a rainbow of Concord and 9th cardstock to put them together. You might notice that I skipped the top layer on the card on the left, and started both cards with the same color. So the card on the right has an extra layer of green on the bottom. I love how just this small twist makes them look slightly different and fun! I used a bit of tape to hold them together from the reverse side, and popped them up with foam adhesive on white cardbases. Sentiments are die cut using the new Just Sayin' die set, and then I added secondary sentiments from the stamp set, trimmed into small strips, and both mounted with foam adhesive. Finished off with a sprinkle of Dazzling Clear gems! Here is a closer look at each of these cards:
