Victories and Strength - Simon Says Stamp Just a Note Release

Hello! Today I've got a couple cards to share using some of the NEW Just a Note Release from Simon Says Stamp. I love the combo of this new floral die, and that encouraging sentiment that is hiding on an unexpected stamp set! 

I cut the new Fresh Cut Floral die from white cardstock, and then ink blended to add color to each layer with different Pawsitively Saturated inks. I used Lemonade, Sunbeam, Citrine, and Tropic for the first one, and then Melon, Cantaloupe, Sherbet, and Pearfection for the second one. I die cut the Detail Petal plate from an older release, and then die cut a window in it used Nested Ovals. I love that sentiment, hiding in the new Noted stamp set - it is such a true statement, don't you think? I added some Iridescent Clear Drops from Pinkfresh Studio as a finishing embellishment - the ones in the center of the flower were not planned...but an inky finger smudge that ruined one of them required something to cover it up. As it turned out, I kind of thought it ended up being a fun placement! Here are some more looks at both of these cards - and you can find a supply list at the bottom of this post:

Neutral Mountainscape - Simon Says Stamp Out of This World Release

 Good morning! I'm popping in to share another card using yet another fabulous new die from the recent Out of this World Release from Simon Says Stamp. This time a more masculine design!

I absolutely love mountains - I grew up in the foothills of the North Cascades in Washington state - and can never get enough of them. The new Mountainous cover plate is so fun for building your own scene on a card. Instead of cutting it from various colors of cardstock, I added some ink blending to each one die cut from white. I started with lightest at the top, and blended to darker at the bottom, mainly adding color along the top edges. I skipped the very top piece to leave an open sky - although I used that piece as a temporary mask to add some splatters with my Starry Colors palette. I then removed it, and stamped the sentiment in black from the previously released Well Wishes stamp set. Isn't it perfect with the mountain scene? Here are a few more photos of this card:

Retro Border Note Cards - Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit

 Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the new August 2023 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Retro Wishes! This month's kit has a fun retro feel to the stamp set, with a good touch of florals and fun geometric elements. The included stamp set by the same name has some fun images to stamp as well as some great sentiments, there is a 3D embossing folder, pretty pattern paper...that's all not to mention the cardstock, embellishments, and more!

I fell in love with all the fun patterns in the stamp set in the kit - and considering the "retro" in the name, I couldn't resist pulling out some fun colors to fit that them, and choosing several of the fun images to stamp a border. And...with the magic of the MISTI, it was just too easy to make several of them - since I just lined each image up once, then stamped several times. I actually made doubles of each of these to have more on hand! I used Tropic (included in the kit), and added Aegean, Citrine, and Pucker inks. I purposely overlapped the center 3 images a bit. I then added my sentiments, stamped in black, then tore the edges of those panels before mounting with foam on my white cardbases. The torn edge adds a touch of interest. Finished off with some white jewels for a bit of sparkle and shine! Here are some more photos and views of these cards:

Floral Medallion Miss You Cards - Simon Says Stamp Out of This World Release

  Good morning! I'm popping in to share a few more cards using a fabulous new die from the recent Out of this World Release from Simon Says Stamp. I loved making card sets - and the bright colors on these are so fun and summery, I want to go make even more of them! 

These cards came together so quickly and easily - thanks to a couple of tricks I had up my sleeve! Those fabulous backgrounds that look like I spent forever ink blending? Nope! Those are from the Color Blend cardstock assortment - they come in a pack of 8 fabulous color blends, and are such a time saver! I then die cut the new Floral Medallion die from panels of white cardstock. This die is super fun, and a great price point! I was surprised by the great deal it was, especially with how large it is, and how well it creates a focal point for a card front! And finally, those fun sentiment combos? Those are from the pre printed Reverse Miss You Sentiment Strips, popped up on foam for a bit of dimension. I just love the fun ways of conveying that you miss someone, don't you? Proud of You Stars - Simon Says Stamp Out of This World Release

 Good morning! I'm popping in to share one more card using the BRAND NEW Out of this World Release from Simon Says Stamp. By now, you might be able to tell the set I'm loving from this release - it is small, but so many fun possibilities, and I love that! With the 4th of July holiday coming up very soon, I felt this card was especially appropriate as well!

I used the new Happy Icons stamp set (yes...I know...again!) - but this time I focused on the stars. I stamped in a bright and happy combo of colors of Pawsitively Saturated Inks, and then trimmed each one out with my paper trimmer. I then aligned them together, rotating each one as I placed it, and backing with a scrap of white cardstock, so I could pop them all up at once on my cardbase. Before I did that, however, I die cut the older Stacked Stars die a couple times, and used it to create a background. I adhered the outline first on a Fog cardbase, then used all the punched out stars to place back into a few of the negative spaces. I stacked up 3 on each of the ones I filled, so it gave a bit of dimension. Then I adhered the stamped stars, and added a sentiment stamped from the set, and hand trimmed into a banner shape. Happy Days Ahead - Simon Says Stamp Out of This World Release

The card I'm sharing today is all about the squares - 4 1/4" by 4 1/4" square card, square die cut, and cute stamped square images from the new Happy Icons stamp set in bright summery colors. I stamped the images in Sunbeam and Surf Pawsitively saturated inks, and trimmed them down with my paper trimmer. Birthday Balloon Squares - Simon Says Stamp Out of This World Release

 Good morning! I'm popping in to share another card using the BRAND NEW Out of this World Release from Simon Says Stamp. This is a fun birthday card that is heavy on the sentiments, and includes a soft color palette of geometric balloon images - with a bit of sparkle of course!

I started off by repeatedly stamping the balloon image from the new Happy Icons stamp set in Melon, Limelicious. Lemonade, and Tidepool Pawsitively Saturated inks, then trimming them into squares with my paper trimmer. I laid those out on my white cardbase, and planned where to stamp my sentiments from the new Birthday Shenanigans stamp set. I used my MISTI to stamp those, then adhered the balloon squares with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension. I also added some details with a white gel pen on the balloons. I finished off with a few coordinating jewels tucked around the balloon squares for extra sparkle! Here are some more photos of this card:
