Shiny Water Whale Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I recently pulled out a forgotten supply to play with (any guesses?). I ended up creating a fun panel, and then paired it with a fun stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp to complete this clean and simple little card!

The forgotten supply was my Distress Embossing Glaze! I grabbed my clear embossing ink, and dragged it partway down a panel of white cardstock, then sprinkled heavily with Broken China. I repeated on the same panel until I had a lovely shiny bit of water, with a rough edge at the top. Looked like gazing out at the ocean, with the spray over the water! So pulled out my Get Whale Soon set, and stamped a sentiment and an adorable little whale. I didn't color the whale, but I did add some Nuvo Glitter Drops in Blizzard on part of it for some sparkle - it shows better in some of the other photos! I finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Surf for a touch more sparkle. Here are more photos:

Faux Watercolor Big Florals - Simon Says Stamp You Are My Favorite Release

Today I'm sharing a couple cards with one of my favorite items from the You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp - and a fun technique using them! I love watercolors - but I also love a good watercolor effect that is even easier and gives the wow result!

The new Big Botanicals stamp set is perfect for a faux watercolor effect - I love how the details just show up so fun with this technique! For these cards, I used my MISTI and watercolor paper paired with some Simon Says Stamp ink cubes - using Lilac, Amethyst, and Orchid for the purple bloom, Punch, Sangria, and Cabernet for the red tulip, and Spring, Dublin, and Lucky for the greenery. I used the lightest ink cube color to ink up just the flowers on each image, misted it lightly with water, then stamped. I let that dry, then stamped again with the light color to lock those details in again, then inked up on one side with the next deepest shade of color, stamped again, and finally hit the very edge with the deepest shade and stamped again. Did a similar technique with the greenery. Once those panels dried, I cut them to size with the new A2 Rectangle dies. The sentiments I stamped in Nocturne ink, then heat embossed with clear powder for some extra shine, and popped those up with foam over the watercolor panels. I adhered them all onto coordinating colored cardstock panels using Spellbinders cardstock, and finished with a few Clear Dazzling Gems! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Encouraging Bold Floral Heart Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I have a trio of bold and fun encourgment cards to share using some more of the new You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp, paired up with some older items as well!

For these cards, I had stamped florals from Flowering Frame in the center panels from another set I created, and heat embossed them in clear on those same colored cardstocks: Rainforest, Honey, and Sage. I die cut the scallop heart frames from Happy Hello 3 times, and then grabbed some sentiments from Well Wishes. For the larger sentiments, I stamped in black, and heat embossed with clear ink for some extra shine, then die cut. Secondary sentiments were just stamped in black and trimmed to rectangles. I alternated the same colored cardstocks for the backgrounds, and also trimmed some thin strips to mount behind to add some interest, then layered everything up with Big Momma foam adhesive for some subtle dimension. Finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Opal in pretty little rows on the side! Here are more photos of these cards, with a closer look at each one:

Hello! I'm popping in to share my a couple more cards using the newest June 2025 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Captured Joy (I'll update a direct link to the kit when I get home - currently on vacation!)! This month's kit has a lovely spring floral feel to it! The included stamp set features some fun photo frame images and sentiments, and there is also a coordinating die! There are some fun pattern papers and rub ons, an embossing folder, embellishment mix...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more!

These cards just make me feel like I stepped into a vintage shop! Again, I couldn't resist putting more of those rub ons to work - and this time I discovered they worked beautifully on vellum! I again used my Empress machine, and love the effect on the translucent vellum! I tore the edge, added another layer with a similarly torn edge, and then layered over some of the gorgeous pattern paper in the kit. Added some Clear Dazzling Gems, a couple of stamped washi pieces from the stamp set in the kit (stamped in Clay and Lilac inks), and a simple die cut sentiment from the kit. Here is a closer look at each of these cards:

Fresh Floral Cards - Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first cards using the newest June 2025 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Captured Joy (I'll update a direct link to the kit when I get home - currently on vacation!)!

For these first cards, I fell in love with the rub ons in the kit! They are such lovely vintage floral images, and these two in particular caught my eye. I discovered that if I ran them through my Empress die cut machine, I only had to do a little bit of actual rubbing - the pressure of the machine did most of the work for me! I recommend playing with your machine to find the best pressure if you test this out. I added some pattern paper from the kit in the background, and some sentiments from the Modern Scrapbook stamp set in the kit. Finished off with a few Bubblegum Dazzling Gems for extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at this set of cards:
