Unity Hip Hop - Camera Bling Card

Good evening!!! Time for the Tuesday evening hop with Unity Stamps! I used the Kit of the Month from October, as well as a favorite itty bitty of mine - Angie's Camera. And I made a Quick Tip video for my card as well - I'm kinda lovin' that bling on the camera!

Here is that Quick Tip Video:

All supplies are linked below - except the bling, I couldn't find it anymore from where I got it. I would imagine you could find, or create something similar though!

There is a little release of (somewhat) new mini kits - as well as a fabulous sale on the releases from the last few months, in case you missed them!

There is also a gift certificate up for grabs, for comments left along the hop - or if you link up your project and hop along with us!

Here is the rest of the links for the Design Team - make sure and visit everyone to see the new stamps in action - and leave some love for a chance to win this weeks giveaway! Then, go link up and play along with us! :)

Geometric HOORAY - It's Your Day!

Good evening! Lately I have been SOOO busy keeping up with Design Team assignments, new releases, and special orders - that it had suddenly been a long time since I sat down and played just for fun. With no imminently pressing deadlines, I decided today to just do that. It was SOOO incredibly refreshing! I think my creativity needed that very much! So I pulled out whatever I felt like using and played along with a few challenges - I actually finished 5 different cards, but will probably post them over the next few days. First up - as I was cleaning my desk, I happened upon this scrap of pattern paper from another project - and since I just LOVE it, I thought I would start with that!

I made this for a couple different challenges - first up, the new challenge at My Favorite Things headed up by none other than Susan Opel. Can't help but be reminded of the good old days with the bigger contests at Paper Crafts Connection - so you know I had to start here and play along! MFT Card Design Superstar:

I also have loved each and every one of the challenges at Virginia's View - and the current one is SOOOO fun! I hope to play along lots more with this one! Virginia's View Challenge - Geometric:

Finally, also playing along with this weeks Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Make it Colorful (that pattern paper just DOES it!):

I started with this angled piece of pattern paper, trimmed it to fit my card base (of soft gray SSS cardstock) then added a thin strip of black to it. My sentiment came from two different MFT sets - LJD Birthday Greetings and BB Birthday Bears. Notice the shine on the big "HOORAY"? I used a thin line applicator to add some Glossy Accents to make it pop. On the bottom I added a strip of torn vellum, some glittery washi tape, some black thread with sequins stars strung on, and a few enamel dots and pearls. Finished off with a rounded corner, and a few splatters of white Mister Huey's mist (only on the gray - what you see on the pattern paper is actually just part of the paper!)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Multicolor Inking with the MISTI - with Quick Tip Video

Good morning! I wanted to stop by this morning to share a card I made with a Quick Tip Video for Unity Stamp Company - using the MISTI tool (I have been getting TONS of emails and questions about the tool I used in this and another video - you can find a MISTI tool HERE - tell her I sent you!) to create a multicolored stamped image - works AMAZING for all the subway style stamps from Unity! This one uses Candles and Cake {wit & wisdom}:

Here is the video (again, the tool I used in this and another video called a MISTI can be found HERE):

You can also create this effect with a stamp positioner if you don't want to spend the money on a MISTI. The first card I made with this style of stamping I did before getting a MISTI...but I have to say, it is SOOOO much easier this way! I used PTI ink cubes for this, layered some torn edge vellum and fun bling in my stash from Eyelet Outlet, and finished off with some Heidi Swapp Pattern paper that I'm pretty sure I have been hoarding for quite a while!

I love those fun bling on this card - and it was kind of on a whim I grabbed them to add, especially since I was thinking of the current Virginia's View Challenge - All Things Embellished (I also love how the colors on my card sort of match the inspiration photo!):

Thanks for dropping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Praying for You

Good morning! I've had a crazy crafting week - but it has all been working ahead for design team stuff that I can't share yet! Hoping to be caught up soon, and have a little more time to craft for current stuff - but I did have this card that I hadn't shared yet, so I thought I would share it and join in with Unity Friends with Flair this morning:

For this card, I used Poppy Bundle, and heat embossed with Ranger Platinum embossing powder - then colored it very softly with Copics. I love the dreamy effect it gives! I can't for the LIFE of me find out where my sentiment came from - so if anyone knows, feel free to let me know too! That's what I get for not posting it for so long - I forget what I use! I die cut the center oval with Lil' Inker's Stitched Ovals, added some bling from Eyelet Outlet, and some pattern paper from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Big Red Bow and Bling!

Good morning!!! Still can't believe Christmas is almost here already! Just sharing a card that I made a while back for a publication call that wasn't picked up. I cut a HUGE bow out of red cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo for this one:

I can't tell you how long it took, but after trimming it to fit my card base, I covered the entire thing in Glossy Accents - it is so shiny and pretty in real life! Added a sentiment from Neat and Tangled's Santa's Tags, and some bling from Eyelet Outlet to finish it off.

This happens to be a perfect fit for the current Little Tangles Challenge - bling, bling!:
Also a perfect fir for the current Curtain Call Challenge:

Thanks for stopping by! Once again - have a wonderful day!!!

Hello - I'm back!

Good afternoon! Whew...moving is a lot of work! We have now been in our house for an entire week, and I can probably say we are a little over halfway unpacked - and slowly continuing to dig our way out of boxes! We have taken a little bit of time out to get a Christmas tree, make a gingerbread house, and spend time with family, as well as get started on homeschooling in between. I also seem to have been knocked down with a nasty cold that has stolen my voice, which is a bit inconvenient!

But, in the middle of it all, I have been itching to get crafty and make a card! So, even though my craft room is FAR from unpacked and set up, I was able to scrounge a few limited supplies, and sat on the floor and put this together for a couple challenges that I have been watching roll by:

The first challenge was one I saw this morning - the brand new Runway Inspired Challenge:

Next up, I loved the new Altenew Challenge (and was super excited to be one of the winners of last month's challenge!) - and though it's hard to see in the photo, the sentiment is stamped in gray ink, since I couldn't find a black ink pad!

I also added some bling I happened to find, so I thought I would link this up to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Bling it On:

I used two new Altenew sets that I received in the mail but hadn't had a chance to ink up before moving - Lacy Scrolls and Sentiments and Quotes. I found my PTI inks, so I used those, adding two shades of colors for depth, and stamping off some of the leaves. Added some pattern paper from an American Crafts paper pad, and a bit of bling from Eyelet Outlet.

Thanks for stopping by today! I will be back soon with a winner from the World Card Making Day Winner hop - sorry I'm late, but even though we have been in our house for a week, we only JUST got internet today. I have a lot of catching up to do!
Have a wonderful day!!!

I was up on the Eyelet Outlet blog several days ago sharing a couple of cards using some of the adorable recently released brads from Eyelet Outlet, as well as some of the Heart Swirl Bling. Thought I would also share them here!

First up - these adorable Fawn Brads were love at first sight! I just adore the fact that they come facing both directions, and just had to make a card with them "kissing" each other!

Supplies:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
My Favorite Things Dye Ink
May Arts Jute Twine

Next up, I used some the lovely Heart Swirls Bling - these are being sold in bulk packs, and make a great base for a simple and elegant card.

Supplies:
Watermark Ink
Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!

Eyelet Outlet Sketch Challenge

Hi there! Just popping by to share the card I made for the brand new Sketch Challenge over at Eyelet Outlet - there are currently no entries, so I hope you'll head on over there and play along! Chances of winning a prize are pretty great at the moment!

Here is the sketch:

How many Eyelet Outlet Goodies can you spy on my card? There are a lot more than just brads and eyelets available at Eyelet Outlet! I used the fun new Sunglass Brads and 10 mm White Pearl Brads - along with some of the Pink Paper Flowers, Pink 4 mm Pearls Strips, and my favorite - the new Enamel Dots! These are seriously beautiful - so many fun colors, and such a fabulous deal!

I hope you will stop by and check out the challenge and play along! Have a great afternoon!!!

Big and Bold Mother's Day Card

Good morning! This card posted over on the Eyelet Outlet Blog yesterday - along with lots of other fun inspiration for Mother's Day - check out the post HERE if you didn't see it already!

I also wanted to link this up with a couple of challenges - this inspiration photo from the Iron Craft Challenge Week:

I used some fun Purse BradsPink paper flowers, and those hot pink bling strips from Eyelet Outlet, and two of my favorite font stamp sets from Winnie and Walter - The Big, the Bold, and the Happy and The Big, the Bold, and the You. That "mom" word was added with A Mother's Love from Avocado Arts.

I stamped the big words once in a shade of pink, them slightly offset with black ink for a shadow effect - love the depth that it gives! Also added some pattern paper from American Crafts, and matted with some PTI True Black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have some fun plans for Mother's Day!!!
