Lil' Inker's April Release Day 3

Hello - and welcome back to the third and final day of the hop for the new release at Lil' Inker Designs! I hope you have enjoyed this release - it sure has been a fun one here for me!

I feel like I keep saying each days goodies are my favorite - but it is pretty much true! I love them all! Today's cards are a mix of fun and cute, and masculine and simple!

First up - using the amazing new Tribal Chic Cover Up Die - I love the cover up dies for adding simple texture, and this one is a super fun new one!

I paired it up with the new Kite Flying stamps and Kite Flying Dies (NOTE: for this release, we as designers were all working with a sample set of dies - the final product cuts closer to the stamp set and doesn't leave as large a margin around the edges)

I used the cover up die on watercolor paper, then added a watercolor backdrop to my cute scene - adding a few paint splatters as well. The sentiment was heat embossed on black cardstock from the same stamp set - but the happy birthday portion came from Clean Lines: For the Guys stamps. I finished off with some jute twine for the kite string, and a few wood veneer shapes for fun.

And next up - a simple masculine card using Clean Lines: For the Guys stamps - this set is fabulous for Father's Day or just birthday or whatever for the guys in your life! I also used the Tribal Chic pattern paper on this one as well as the Silly Stitched Dies

I colored it up simply with Copics, stamped my sentiments, and tore the edges of the paper before mounting with foam adhesive. I always want to add more embellishments to guy cards, but I managed to restrain myself and keep it simple!

Your next stop along the blog hop is Joy Taylor - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!

And now the really fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY! Laura is giving away 3 gift certificates for random comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!

Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:

Winnie and Walter Leading Lady and Giveaway

Good morning! I'm SUPER excited to be kicking off something fun for me this month! Several weeks ago I got an email from Shay at Winnie and Walter inviting me to be their guest "Leading Lady" for the month of August! I am super excited to be sharing a project (or two or three!) over on the Winnie and Walter Blog every Saturday for the month of August with my Winnie and Walter stamps. I also get to give away a $30 gift card to Winnie and Walter drawn from comments left here on my blog throughout the month!

I decided to kick off the month by combining Bubble Talk with some simple shapes cut with my Silhouette Cameo! I'm also linking this up with the Moxie Fab World "Clicking Cameras" Challenge.

I also used the same paper pad for all three cards - My Mind's Eye Now and Then - with the exception of the die cut shapes which were cut with paper from Basic Grey's Fresh Cut paper pad. This first card also features some gold enamel stars from Eyelet Outlet.

I just love this funny owl on the second card! I added a frame from some Freckled Fawn embellishments that I had in my stash, as well as some wiggly eyes.

I stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts Dark Quartz Shadow ink, as well as black ink - like how the combination of colors help the sentiment pop!

And lastly - this hipster cat! I thought it was so cute!

I attached all the die cuts for each card, as well as the stamped speech bubbles with foam adhesive for fun dimension, and inked the edges of the speech bubbles with Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink - love the way this softens up white cardstock and helps it blend in with the softer colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget you have a chance throughout the month to win a $30 gift card to Winnie and Walter just for leaving a comment!

Thanks so much Shay and Julie for giving me this fun opportunity! Have a wonderful day everyone!
