Abstract Builder Notecard Set - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live

Good morning! Yesterday was once again my day for a Facebook Live video, and we played with a fun stamp set from a recent release called Abstract Builder - such a fun set for making note card sets like this!! If you missed it and want to take a peek, you can find it on the Pinkfresh Facebook Page - this week's video is available HERE. As summer begins there may be some weeks we have to skip, but overall still planning to do this each week on Thursdays as schedules allow - so I hope you'll be able to come join me sometime! As always, there was one giveaway for someone who watched live, so make sure and pop in next week for a chance to win next week's live giveaway - 10 AM Pacific time on Thursday mornings!

In the meantime - here is some more info and photos of the card set we made, as well as links to all the products used!

I mixed and matched a rainbow of dye inks to build this quick nearly one layer card set - don't you love those bright happy colors?

The main panels were die cut with Essentials: Stitched Rectangles., and I used my MISTI to add each layer of color and image which makes it insanely easy to create multiples!

A little bit of Licorice Liquid Watercolors provided the perfect touch of texture on the background - just make sure to leave it plenty of time to dry! Mounted on coordinating colored cardbases to finish this set off!

Pinkfresh Studios July Release Blog Hop

Good morning! So excited today to be hopping along with Pinkfresh Studios as we celebrate the BRAND NEW July Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way - TONS of inspiration and prizes up for grabs! YAY!

I have a $25 gift card up for grabs here on my blog (details below) - and the ENTIRE RELEASE is up for grabs as well! Between now and July 13th head to the Pinkfresh Studio Store and use code "FREESHIPWITH50" for free US Shipping and $5.50 off international shipping!

I have two cards to share with you today using some of the new stamps and dies!

My first card features two fabulous dies that work together - or separately if you prefer! I used Fancy Floral 1 Die and Fancy Floral 2 Die layered together for my card today - die cutting them both from watercolor cardstock, then layering together with a glue pen over another panel of watercolor paper before adding a messy and splattery watercolor wash with some of the fabulous Pinkfresh watercolors in Sunshine, Aquamarine, and Sky Blue (with a touch of Sapphire mixed in). Can you see the lovely dimensional texture here?

I absolutely love the texture from this - but the possibilities with these dies are endless! You can layer together different colors of cardstock for another neat effect as well.

I finished off with a sentiment from the new Bloom Stamp Set, heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock with a bit of silver thread tucked underneath - and a few Pearl White Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh for a touch of bling.

For my second card, I have this simple and clean card featuring the fun new Pretty Paisley Stamp Set:

As soon as I saw this stamp set, this floral image caught my eye. It looked almost Scandinavian - and somehow the blue and white color combo seemed perfect for it. I stamped it in a repeating pattern on a panel of white cardstock in a medium blue ink, then stamped the sentiment from the same set below in navy ink. It's hard to see in the photos, but I also added some random dots in a softer blue ink using the snow image from the new Skating Bunnies Stamp Set - adds a fun bit of texture! Finished off with some machine stitching around the edges, a few Pinkfresh Enamel Dots, and a soft blue cardbase.

Which card is more your style? Clean, simple, and monochromatic? Or the texture and dimension with messy watercolor on the first card? And what is on your wish list from the new release?!?!?

LID June Release Day 3 - Kitties Galore and Super Coffee

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW June release at Lil' Inker Designs! There are SOOOO many incredible new stamps and dies in this release - and if you like coffee, kitties, or babies - you are going to LOVE this release!!! You can find the entire new release HERE!

You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today's cards feature kitties and coffee! Haha - what a combination, huh? First up - the kitty overload card:

This card uses the ADORABLE new Cat Hugs stamp set - isn't it a fabulous huge image?!?!? I love that you can fill a card front, and don't have to mess around with masking either! I kept my card very simple - just adding a touch of color with Copic Markers. The coordinating Cat Hugs dies are super clever though - I plan on using them soon! They allow you to cut out the top edge, and also cut out the kitty paws on selected cats in such a way that you can tuck in some of the many accessories included in the stamp set. How cool is that?!?!?!?

I stamped the sentiment in red at the top, trimmed my panel slightly and mounted on a soft blue card base. Finished off with a touch of Crystal Glaze on the glasses, hearts, and bows for a bit of fun shine and texture. This is a nearly one layer card - and isn't it SOOO fun?!?!?

Next up - I love this super cute new Super Coffee Stamp and Die Bundle - SERIOUSLY fun!

I paper pieced the coffee cup with a combination of pattern paper and Copic colored bits. So many possibilities for this image!

Layered it on some pattern paper and the premade frame from Pinkfresh Studio - and stamped the sentiments around and on the frame. Finished off with a pop of color from some enamel dots.

LID June Release Day 2 - Plaid, Shakers, and Babies, Oh My!

Today I have FOUR cards to share - all baby theme! Lots of this release is geared toward baby cards, and I couldn't resist building up my stash a bit - I created two each of boy and girl cards!

This first card also uses the fabulous Cover Up Die: Perfectly Plaid. This die is genius! You die cut it twice, and rotate one layer 180 degrees - and it makes a plaid design like this! I layered together a lighter and darker aqua over a dark gray cardbase for this card!

I also used the new Baby Word Tag Dies - only I trimmed the tags off with scissors so I could just use the words. I die cut each word once from white cardstock, blended some coordinating ink over the bottom of each word, then die cut again from white fun foam and layered together to make them super dimensional. Finished off by covering them with a thick coat of Crystal Glaze to make them shine, and feel even more dimensional!

For the second boy card, I used another new favorite - Baby Onsie Shaker Die - to make a shaker card!

I love how this cuts the stitching on both the negative, AND the positive of the die cut! Perfect for making an entire shaker full of sparkliness like this.

Layered it on some Lawn Fawn Gingham pattern paper, filled it with Mini Iridescent Star Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh, and finished off with a heat embossed sentiment from the darling new Little Ones Stamp Set on a strip of gray cardstock that I hand trimmed into a banner.

Now - onto those girl cards!

For this first one, I again used the new Cover Up Die: Perfectly Plaid, only instead of die cutting, I used embossing pads to create an embossed background! I added some soft pink distress ink blending over the top to make a focal point area.

I die cut the Baby Onsie Shaker Die from pattern paper, and this time used the positive die cut. I heat embossed a sentiment over the top, again using the Little Ones Stamp Set, added some jute string behind, and mounted that panel on a pink cardbase.

And finally, combining these two new dies and new stamp set one more time for the second girl card:

This time I die cut the Cover Up Die: Perfectly Plaid frome white cardstock two times, ink blended over the top of one of them, layered them together, and trimmed the edges slightly smaller than my pink cardbase. This allowed me to attach them together behind the onesie and leave the edges more free floating for a whimsical look.

I used the positive die cut from my shaker card above, and stamped a sentiment from Little Ones Stamp Set over the top with a soft gray ink. Simple and fun!

LID June Release Day 1 - Coffee Cup Gift Cards Galore

Hello! The day is finally here to start sharing projects with the BRAND NEW June release at Lil' Inker Designs!

Today, I went a little crazy with my favorite new die from the release - a perfect gift card holder called To Go Coffee Cup Gift Holder Die! Because, who doesn't love to give or receive coffee gift cards, right?!?!?

It really is SOOO completely genius! You slide the cover off... (random fact - did you know they are called paper "zarfs?" You can Google it! Kind of fun to say to your barista and see if they know or not! Haha!)...and then...

It opens up to reveal the gift card inside! Eek! The brilliance of it gets me every time!

I made these 4 that are more girly verions - love that this is a fabulous way to use up some of your pattern paper stash as well!

And then I made these additional 5 all in more manly colors. Notice those fabulous sentiments on all of them as well? Those are from another of my favorites from this new release - Coffee Talk 2 Stamp Set - the PERFECT accompaniment to this fabulous new die!

For each of these, I die cut the main panel from white cardstock, then the lid and "zarf" from pattern paper. To add pattern paper to the front of these, I did some partial die cutting - super simple - then trimmed off the extra with scissors to make it fit just the front of these. I made 7 of these in about an hour, while simultaneously being interrupted by my daughters as they were doing their homeschool work and needed my help. They really were just that easy!

LID August Release Day 1

Hello! Today is the beginning of a fun new release at Lil' Inker Designs - a super fun mix of stamps and dies in this release! So excited to start sharing them with you! You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

First up, I have this dreamy card - for some reason the Cinderella fairy tale comes to mind whenever I look at this stamp set, so I obviously was a bit inspired by that for my card! :)

This uses the new Ever Stamps and coordinating Ever Word Die, along with some distress ink smooshing with lots of gold watercolor splatters. I also applied Glossy Accents on the "ever" to give it a bit of shine and simple dimension.

And then I had fun playing with the fun Modern Mandala Stamp set and a couple of fun color combos to make these simple one layer cards!

I used a fun color palette with some Reverse Confetti dye inks for each card - this one a bit softer:

And this one a bit bolder:

I stamped the sentiment directly on the card base as well, and then added some white Nuvo drops for a simple embellishment.

Your next stop along the blog hop is Jennifer Carter - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!

And now the really fun part! One lucky person is going to win THE ENTIRE RELEASE! Winner will be chosen from comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!
