Window gift box...

Good Saturday morning! Today I wanted to share a little gift box that I made a little while ago. It came out so cute I think! Here it is:
I used Tags, Bags, and Boxes to make the box out of kraft paper, then covered the sides and top with Authentique Paper.
For the window part, I stamped an image from Crafty Secrets on Vellum, then colored it with copics - LOVE the soft effect it gives! Kind of like a stained glass window too!
Finished off with some Baker's Twine tied around the top, and a tiny jingle bell that I spray painted.
I am also linking this up to the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog as a project to show your style - not sure exactly what that is, but I love this project, so I guess that works!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Special Birthday Cake!

This weekend, I had a sick day at home, where I didn't feel like doing much, but fortunately didn't feel too sick to craft! Since our pastor's wife had a birthday next week, I thought it would be fun to make a super special project for her - to let her know how special she is to us all! My kids had fun shopping for fun goodies to fill it with too!

I am also entering this in the Throwback Thursdays Challenge over at My Creative Time to use a retired cartridge, and Wacky Wednesdays over at More than Favors - Friendship. Additionally, I think it fits perfect with this weeks Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - Piece of Cake, and My Craft Spot's Gifts, Bags, and Boxes! Finally, the challenge over at Getting Cricky with K Andrews: treat containers or party theme items.

I used Tags, Bags, and Boxes to cut out the cake boxes. I wasn't sure how many it would take - when I started I was guessing about 6 - it ended up taking 9!

I added some lace around the outside edges with zip dry glue, and then a bit of Stickles for sparkle.

I stamped a tag I had in my stash with a couple of sentiments from My Creative Time stamps - including that cute musical note! Tied it one with some Baker's Twine, and some sheer blue ribbon.

The flowers and leaves were all cut from Mother's Day Bouquet. I coated the flowers with Glossy Accents and added some Martha Stewart coarse glitter. After they dried, I curled the edges, stacked and glued them, and added a button and some jute cort. The leaves I scored down the center, curled them a little, and outlined them a bit with a green copic marker.

It was such a fun project to make! I don't know if I will ever make one again, but I LOVE how this came out - so who knows? Hope you enjoyed!

Christmas Gift Bags

First of all - I want to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Can't believe that it is Christmas Eve already! Just thought I would quickly share a couple of gift bags I made last night and finished up this morning. We are giving a couple of gift cards this year, and I wanted to make something extra special to hold them, since I always feel like I am cheating when I give gift cards!

The bags were cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More - one of the new free downloads that I hadn't used yet! The first two tags were cut from Very Merry Tags - with Stickles on both, and doodling on the bell one, and a Peachy Keen face on the gingerbread man. The last tag came from Inspired Heart, and has lots of Stickles and a bit of Glossy Accents around the outside. Tied all three tags on with a ribbon.

Thanks for looking - and hope you have a Wonderful Christmas tomorrow!!! Blessings to you and your family!
