Ribbon Carousel Nov Challenge Inspiration - Holidays and Celebrations!

Good morning! Here to share my card for the second week of inspiration for the November Ribbon Carousel Challenge! This is one of three very similar cards I made and submitted for publication (HERE is the post with the one that was picked up...so I waited a while to post this one since they were so similar!)

Very simple...Paper Smooches image, sentiment from Market Street Stamps (Sadly discontinued now!), some May Arts Ribbon, a bit of bling, and distress ink around the edges.

And here is the info on the challenge - this month is super easy! Hope you'll join us!

America's Thanksgiving Day celebration, Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day.....there's crafting happening for all kinds of celebrations!  Then of course, there are Birthdays, Anniversaries, and even TGIF counts as a celebration!  So whatever YOU are celebrating, please share your creation with us!

This month's theme is...you guessed it.....
Holidays and Celebrations!

So what prize is up for grabs? How about a Ribbon Carousel?!
Each month we are giving away a Ribbon Carousel to one of our randomly chosen challenge participants! Just a reminder that our Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have divided up into FOUR teams. Each week you will see fresh projects for this months challenge!

There are only three (3) rules you must follow to be eligible for the prize:

  1. You MUST use ribbon, twine, thread, washi tape, wire or anything that comes on a spool on your creation
  2. Your project must be based on the theme of the month.
  3. You must add a NEW project to the inlinkz below and link directly back to your project on your blog or online gallery. (Unfortunately, we've had participants who would have won the challenge, but they didn't do a direct link to their blog and I couldn't find their creation!)

SPS Inspiration - Feather Love

Good morning! I'm sharing on the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog today! I'm still loving the feather trend right now, so I had to make another card with the same theme!

I used some beautiful paper from Glitz Design's 6x6 Hello Friend paper pad for my backdrop. I then used some Bazzil Classic White Cardstock to make my folded banner, and tied my die cut feathers together with some jute twine. (The feathers and banners were cut with Simon Says Stamps Dies)

Stamped an Avery Elle Sentiment with two colors of PTI ink, then finished off with a bunch of one of my favorite embellishments - My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday in Layers

Good morning! I have spent the last couple of days thinking about the Sentiment Stamp It Week Challenge on the Paper Crafts Connection blog - and finally this morning had an idea come together! The challenge was to layer two sentiment stamps together - here is what I came up with:

It took a few tries to get it just right, but I'm so happy with how it worked! I used a MFT stamp set, and two colors of MFT inks. To get them to stamp in the soft color I wanted, I had to ink them, then stamp them off on scrap paper, then stamp them on my white cardstock. LOVE the soft dreamy look it gives!

Added a "to you" from an Avery Elle set, die cut my rectangle with Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangle Dies, added some May Arts Ribbon and some enamel dots, and finished off with some pattern paper from My Mind's Eye.

I am also linking this up with the current Simon Says Challenge - Keep it Clean and Simple.

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!

MCS Challenge - Pinterest Inspired Jar

Good morning! After all the excitement of the new release at My Craft Spot (and a week off to recover!) - we are starting a new challenge up this week, a Pinterest Inspired Challenge! Here is what I made:

Here is our photo for inspiration - isn't it LOVELY?!?!?!?

I love all the textures and colors - and tried to capture that a bit in my card. I used Jar Basics Stamp set and the coordinating Jar Basics Metal Dies for my jars, and tied some Natural Jute Twine around the top of it.

Cut some snowflakes using Snowflake Borders Metal Dies out of glitter paper and layered them in my jar, and under and around it. The tag at the top was cut using the Straight Ribbon Banner Dies, and I stamped a sentiment from Ornate Labels Christmas Stamp set using PTI ink. Added some lace trim to the bottom, and attached it all to a blue PTI cardstock base, then added a sprinkle of sequins from Tickled Pink Blend to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you will join us over at My Craft Spot on this fun challenge - and can't wait to see what you create!

Cath will always be Moxie Fab!!!

Yep...I'm pretty sure this is the mother of all blog hops - the fun all starts on the Moxie Fab World Blog! If you've just arrived from Stasia Sloma, then you are in the right place!

I'm so excited to be part of honoring and sending Cath off from her long reign as queen of The Moxie Fab World blog - with all our love, appreciation, and thanks for the ways she inspired us along the way! While I know it is sad for a lot of us, I also hope that this next chapter of her life is full of new joys and experiences! So...I made a card celebrating that - with some inspiration from none other than Cath herself!!! Here is what I made:

And here is Cath's inspiration - she posted it HERE a few weeks ago, and I just KNEW I had to make a card with this as inspiration! I saved the post, and when this blog hop came up, I knew this was exactly what I wanted to make!

I had the woodgrain pattern paper sitting in my stash, and knew it was perfect for this! I used two Avery Elle sets to build my card, Oh Happy Day for the sentiment, and Laurels for the flowers, leaves, and extras. I used lots of MFT inks - so glad I happened to have all the right colors! I double stamped the sentiment in two colors to give it a bi-tone color effect.

Next, I trimmed the edges, used a bit of distress ink on them, and attached it at an angle to an Avery Elle kraft cardbase.

The entire blog hop line-up is below - I'm all the way at #171! You're next stop on the hop is Annette Witherspoon!

It will probably take a week to hop through - but I can't wait to see what everyone has made in tribute to Cath! Thanks for stopping by - and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Sparkly Winter Greetings - Unity FWF

Good Friday morning! Hard to believe the week is over - I'm still trying to figure out where it went! Yikes! So...just a quick Unity Friends with Flair card for today:

I used the fabulous October 2013 Kit of the Month, stamped on watercolor paper, then misted with a few colors of Heidi Swapp Color Shine. Blotted off the middle to blend the colors a bit, let it dry, then stamped my image and sentiment. Added a bit of Stickles, and a few tiny dots of bling, then rounded off the top corners. Super simple and sparkly!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a fabulous day!!!

Cork Wall Art

Back one last time this morning with the third challenge for Stamp It! week at Paper Crafts Connection. This challenge was to stamp on cork - and for this instead of a card, I have a wall hanging I made:

I stamped the butterfly from the Unity May 2013 KOTM with Glossy Accents, then sprinkled with glitter. Banners were cut with My Craft Spot Tiny Metal Banner Dies from MME pattern paper. Woodgrain was stamped with Unity Stamp Co. Grainy Background stamp. Sentiment from Avery Elle's Lots of Love set was stamped on a banner cut with my Silhouette Cameo using MFT ink. Added some Chevron May Arts ribbon to hang it.

Thanks for stopping by today and letting me share my fun challenge entries! It has been fun to have a few moments to stamp for fun - finally getting caught up on the design team stuff! YAY!
