Unity Stamps June Sketch

Good morning! I was hoping to get something better made for this months sketch challenge over at Unity KOTM Sketch Challenges, but looks like this is going to have to do!
Here is the sketch:

I actually kind of liked this card, but right at the end of coloring the image with my Copics, I messed up on the hearts! I tried to fix it - but I think I just made it worse! However, at the time, I didn't have enough time to completely recolor the image...so it had to do.
I used a bunch of October Afternoon papers from their 9 to 5 smaller paper pad - 8x8, and the little star came from the miscellany pack of the same line. Even the button is from that collection! LOVE the colors of the 9 to 5 line...actually anything from October Afternoon!
I inked all the layers, and added a bit of doodling - which is the other part I wasn't entirely happy with...
Finished off with some jute twine and ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Cricut 360 Challenge #3 - Parents Day!

Good morning - and welcome to week #3 with Cricut 360! This weeks challenge is to make something in honor of Parents Day, which is July 24! Make sure and visit Cricut 360 to see what all the Design Team made, and link up your card for a chance to win this weeks prize (see the bottom of this post if you want to see what you are playing for this week!

For my card, since I am still limping along without my Gypsy, I thought it would be a good opportunity to make use of some of the cartridges that are pre-loaded on my E2. So, I cut this cute couple out from Cricut Decals, and the cute tag shape from Cricut Essentials. I added some Peachy Keen faces, a bit of bling with my Jolee's heat set tool, sentiments from Emma's My Creative Time stamps, some ribbon, a bit of doodling, and inking on the edges of almost everything.

And...here is what you have a chance to win this week! So get going on your own creations for parents day, and come join the fun at Cricut 360! Can't wait to see you there!

I am also entering this is the Peachy Keen Let's Face it Friday Challenge - to use patterned paper!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Strawberries!

Good morning! I can definately tell it is summer, because I am finding myself with much less time to craft, or blog for that matter! Feels weird not posting for a couple of days! Anyway...my Grandma's 97th birthday is this week, so I wanted to make a special card for her. I used the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger to get me started. Here is my card, and the next picture is the inspiration:

In particular, I was inspired to use a doily for the first time! I had never used one on a card - and I love how it came out! I think I will be doing that a lot more! I used one of my favorite Unity Itty Bitty stamps for the strawberry and the sentiment. I stamped the strawberry directly on the doily, colored it with Copics, covered it with Glossy Accents, and sprinkled it with just a touch of Martha Stewart coarse glitter. I did some machine stitching on the base patterned papers, then cut a frame using Cricut Essentials - which is one of the built in cartridges on my E2, and inked the edges of the frame and doily with dark brown ink. I stamped my sentiment, then sponged on some Tim Holtz distress ink in antique linen over the top of the sentiment and on the front of the doily, just to make it look a little more vintage. Added some stick on bling, and punched a couple of holes in the framed sentiment and attached it with Baker's Twine to the card. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak!
