PS SPARKS Cool Shades - Celebration

Hello! It's time for a new challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge! I had fun with the Cross Stitch Technique that Savannah showed in a Virtual Smooches Video (click HERE to see more!) LOVED playing around with it - and this is what I came up with:

This week it is a Cool Shades Challenge:

Here is the color palette - Celebration:

I used the little cross stitch from Needle Little Love to build my anchor pattern. The sentiment and hearts are from Wicked Nauticool. I stamped the sentiment in 3 parts so that it stacked where I had room for it, instead of all in one straight line.

Pattern papers are from Glitz Designs Uncharted Waters and Fancy Pants Down By the Shore 6x6 paper pads.

Rounded a couple of corners, used some distress ink to soften things up a bit, and added just a touch of bling to the hearts and top left corner before mounting on an Avery Elle Kraft Cardstock base.

PS SPARKS Trendwatch - Gold

If you are looking for my giveaway post, scroll down or click HERE!

Hello! So excited to share my first card on the Design Team for this weeks new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge:

It is the first week of the month, so that means it is a Trend Watch Challenge:

And here is the inspiration piece:

For my card, I started off by heat embossing the wheel from the PS Stamp set Wicked Nauticool using gold Zing embossing powder and fussy cutting it out.

Next, I cut an oval window in a piece of white cardstock using Ovals 1 Dies. I used some pattern paper from Fancy Pants Designs 6x6 Down by the Shore paper pad and cut the water/waves using Borders 1 Dies. I stamped the star from Wicked Nauticool and also heat embossed that in gold. Then to add the rest of the stars, I dipped a toothpick in gold paint and dotted it on the paper several times before dipping and doing it again. I added some rays of light to the star by dragging the toothpick in straight lines away from the star.

I used a LOT of foam adhesive to make all the layers on this! It is one bumpy card!

Finished off with the sentiment from Spiritual Sampler also heat embossed in gold on some more pattern paper from the same paper pad, then added a few gold sequins.

I love cards that have meaning connecting the sentiment with the card - and this sentiment just fit so perfectly with the scene I was trying to create! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please stop by and see what the rest of the SPARKS team put together:

Paper Smooches Nautical Card

(Edited to add: I'm linking this up with the Moxie Fab World Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge!)

Hello again! Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I have fallen head over heals for the nautical trend. I don't know why - but I LOVE it! I was leaving out of town the end of last week, so even though I had this in my head, I never had a chance to put it together in time to enter last weeks challenge. But, I am sending in my application for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Design Team call (fingers crossed big time!) - so I thought I would make this anyway a bit late!
I used the Trend Watch photo inspiration from THIS challenge:

I used the adorable Paper Smooches Anchor Die, tied a jute twine bow on it, and attached a MFT red button. Sentiment is from my first Paper Smooches set I ever purchased (when I fell in love with them!) - Sentiment Sampler. I stamped that with MFT ink.
Pattern papers are from a Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad called Down By The Shore. I used a Lil' Inker's Designs stitched rectangle die to cut my main panel out of white cardstock. Card base is Avery Elle Kraft cardstock.
I attached the anchor with foam adhesive, as well as the white panel, then added a few gold sequins  - another design crush of mine!
Thanks for visiting me again! I have one more Paper Smooches card to post, then I think I am done for the day! See you in a few!

My Craft Spot Spring Release - Day 2

Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of the new release over at My Craft Spot! Today's stamp set that we are showing sneak peeks for is, I think, my favorite of the week! We are playing with Cute Critters today - and let me tell you, they are DARLING! Here is what I made for today:
This set is LOADED with adorable critter sentiments. For my card today, I went very nautical themed, and cut some crabs with my Silhouette Cameo. All my pattern paper is from a Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad.
I used some distress ink on the edges of everything, and stamped my sentiment with MFT dye ink - LOVE the rich coverage!
Added some jute twine (find it HERE at My Craft Spot) and an October Afternoon button to complete the nautical theme, and attached the front panel with foam adhesive.
Now you are going to want to head over to My Craft Spot and see the rest of the samples by the Design Team! And...Kimberly is giving away this stamp set today:

Once again - I will look forward to seeing you tomorrow! Here is a peek at what tomorrow holds:
Have a great day - and see you again with more fun tomorrow!

My Craft Spot Spring Release - Day 1

Good Monday morning!!! It is finally that time again - we are sharing peeks of the new Spring release at My Craft Spot! This is such a FUN release - you are going to love it all! Today we are playing with the new stamp set called Postage Stamps, and the matching Postage Stamp Dies! Here is what I made:
As always - these dies cut beautifully! And I LOVE all the fun images and sentiments in the matching stamp set! So fun!!! I used my Silhouette Cameo and a file from the online store to cut the little goldfish and heart, inked the edges with distress ink, and debossed them with my PTI Linen Impression Plate. Added wiggly eyes to the fish too - cause I couldn't resist!
The pattern paper is from a Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad, and I added some torn vellum for the water, and some machine stitching around the card to hold it all in place.
Attached the fish, hearts, and stamps with some foam adhesive, and finished off with a bit of bling. I didn't notice until now that one of my crystals in the top left corner kind of fell down a bit! Oops! Guess I better fix that...
So...are you ready to see more? Make sure and head over to My Craft Spot to see the rest of the samples from the Design Team - they are beautiful! And Kimberly is giving away this stamp set today:

I'll see you tomorrow with more fun peeks! Until then - here is a tiny peek at what is coming tomorrow:

Have a great day!!!

MFT Getting Sketchy #70

Good morning! I managed to squeeze a few crafty moments in yesterday in between settling in back home, and doing some grocery shopping to restock the empty fridge! This is for this weeks MFT Getting Sketchy Challenge #70, and the Inspired By #22 photo inspiration. Here is my card:
And here is the sketch:

And here is the photo inspiration:

I followed the sketch pretty closely, and took all the fun patterns and colors from the garden gloves and used them in my card - as well as the flowers, because garden gloves always make me think of flowers blooming!

I used a Pure Innocence stamp again, and this time just left it black and white - I kind of like the sketchy look - especially with these papers! They are from Fancy Pants 6x6 Be You paper pad.
I added the sentiment on the banner with My Craft Spot stamps - I liked how the font for the sentiment kind of matched fun with the top sentiment that was on the pattern paper.
The circle was cut and embossed with one of my Spellbinders Nestabilities, and I added a bow with some twill ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.
Also pop-dotted the circle from the background. Simple - the way I like it when I have lots to get done!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you again soon!
