Watercolor Sunflower Birthday - Simon Says Stamp

 Hello! I've noticed that at the end of each month, I tend to pull out the supplies from recent Simon Says Stamp releases that I haven't gotten around to using yet. And today is no different it seems! These sunflowers are just so pretty, and were so fun to watercolor.

I stamped the beautiful Sunflower Dreams background stamp on watercolor paper in black ink, then watercolored with Gansai Tambai watercolors. I trimmed the panel down to fit my cardfront, then added some sparkle with Nuvo Moonstone glitter paste, using a small tool to kind of add little blobs on the berries, and smooth some on the centers of the sunflowers. I don't normally put it on that thick, but I kind of love the way the texture looks totally different this way! I mounted on a white cardbase, then added a sentiment from Sunflower Dance set (another cute newer one), and a secondary sentiment from an older preprinted Birthday Sentiment Strips set. Christmas Birdie Joy - Simon Says Stamp

 Good morning! Today I'm sharing some CHRISTMAS cards (haha - sorry if you hate jumping ahead on seasons, but it's always nice to get ahead, right?). I'm using an adorable little birdie die that I wanted to break open and try, and pairing it with some fun other dies and pattern papers from Simon Says Stamp. I mean, how adorable is that sweet little birdie?!?!?

I actually began by choosing my pattern paper - which is a great way to set the colors you will use on your ink blending. I used some new to me 49 and Market Mistletoe and Memories pattern paper (first time using their pattern paper, and it is such a lovely thick and heavy weight! I love it!). I also added some interest to the top layer of pattern paper by using the newer Simple Stars stencil with some Nuvo Moonstone glitter paste. While that dried, I worked on the Fun Birdie. I cut all the layers out from white cardstock, then used my Tacky mat to hold the little pieces in place while I added color with ink blending in Buttercream, Cocoa, Brick, Paprika, and Honey. I assembled all the layers together with liquid glue, then white heat embossed some sentiments from Making Spirits Bright on black cardstock and die cut them out. I also die cut two sizes of Modern Teardrop frames from Honey Gold cardstock and white carstock, adhered them together, then trimmed a straight edge on the bottom of each one to change the shape a little. Layered together all the pattern paper, frames, sentiments, and birdies with a mix of liquid glue, tape runner, and foam adhesive. Finished off with a couple twists of May Arts gold string wrapped and tied in a bow, and a sprinkle of enamel dots! Here is a closer look at these festive and fun cards:

Cute Night Camping Scene cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I've got a couple cute little camping scene cards to share with you today! I'm using a fun newer stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp that I hadn't had a chance to put to use yet, as well as an older stencil that I have wanted a chance to utilize!  

For this cute little scene, I started off with the darling Cute Campers set. I trimmed a panel of white cardstock down to smaller than A2 (nothing too technical - haha!), and then stamped my images, leaving them going off the edges of the card. In hindsight - I wish I had either left the kitties tail more in the scene, or trimmed off a bit more, but I guess it just looks like it has a stubby tail! Haha! I then ink blended around the scene a little bit to create some background, and then created a starry night sky by stenciling over the top with Twinkle Stars stencil and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. I added more color to the scene using my Copic markers and some simple shading, then matted the panel with white, and popped on foam on Sage cardbases. Finished off with the sentiments, stamped and popped up with foam! Here is a closer look at these two cards:

Spring Lattice Sassy Hello - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card using another new stencil from Simon Says Stamp! This was also released as an available add on for the May card kit - and while it is a great fit for the vintage feel of the kit, I thought it would be pretty in bright spring colors as well! 

For this card, I used that lovely new Delicate Lattice stencil and blended with a pastel rainbow of inks - Bubblegum, Seafoam, Sprout, and Lemonade. I then used a Heart Stencil over the top, first with the same inks, just blended deeper (which doesn't show much in the end anyway!), then blended Moonstone glimmer paste over the top. Set this aside and gave it time to dry thoroughly. So pretty! For the sentiment, I used Fancy Hello wafer die, cut from white cardstock for the main part, then vellum for the shadow layer. I added a sassy little secondary sentiment from Hello You stamp set, and then a hefty sprinkle of Glitter Enamel Dots for sparkle! In hindsight, I could have gone less crazy with those, but it is also kind of fun, so I'm not going to worry about it too much! Haha! Here are more photos of this finished card:

Stenciled Heart Backgrounds YT Live- Simon Says Stamp

 Hello! Today I had the fun of doing a YouTube live with my crafty friend Lea Lawson! We streamed both on on my own personal YouTube channel as well as Lea's YT Channel, and both used some recently released items from Simon Says Stamp! For my cards, I created two heart stenciled backgrounds using the Falling in Love stencil, and a rainbow of inks (all linked below!) - I created one in warmer tones, and one in cooler tones. The warmer tone one I added some Paper Splatter in Opaque white, and the cooler tone one I added some Nuvo Moonstone Glitter paste over the top of - it didn't dry completely before the live, but it is SOOOOO pretty now that it has dried! I love it! I used the Love You Very Much die set for the sentiments, cut from Satin Honey Gold cardstock, and vellum for the shadow layer, then added a secondary sentiment from the Circle Sentiments stamp set, hand trimmed into a little banner. The panels were die cut with Stitched Rectangles, and I finished off by embellishing with a few Prism Dazzling Gems, and a tiny bow from Lawn Fawn white hemp twine. STAMPtember Collaboration - Clearly Besotted

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping. 

Today we are getting to see the next in the progression of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have...Clearly Besotted!

This set was SOOO super adorable and fun to play with!

I stamped the main circle from the stamp set on some cardstock, then added a sentiment and one of the cute little critters into the scene and colored the entire thing up with Copics.

I then covered the entire image with Nuvo Glimmer paste for some good sparkle! I then die cut a circle window in some white cardstock, and die cut the outer edge in a square and popped it up with foam over the image to create a little window. Mounted the entire panel on a square cardbase created with Surf Blue cardstock, and finished off with a few enamel dots!
