Woodsy Birthday Wishes - Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the newest January 2025 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Get Yeti! This month's kit has the cutest little winter friends! The included stamp set by the same name features some cute yeti and snowman images and sentiments (there is also a coordinating die for this set available separately HERE). There is a fun embossing folder, little bonus die set, adorable pattern paper...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more!

I (of course!) loved the pattern paper in this kit, and when I saw those trees, I thought it would be fun to make a card that could work for a masculine birthday. I layered up some of the pattern paper to start as a base for the card. I heat embossed the trees a couple times each in clear, then ink blended over the top of them with Sage and Pine ink, wiping the excess off the embossed bit to make sure it popped off the background. I popped those up with foam adhesive to build a little forest, then added sentiments from the included Everyday EZ sentiment strips in the left corner, trimming them down with my paper trimmer and adding an angled edge on one side. Finished off with some gold thread wrapped around and tied in a bow, and a few Glittering Mountains ombre glitter drops for the perfect touch of sparkle! Here are more photos of the finished card:

UnFROGettable - Simon Says Stamp August 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here today to share my first card with the BRAND NEW August 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Toadlly Unfrogettable! This kit is all about our little green friends! The included stamp set by the same name has lots of the cute critters - as well as some great punny sentiments, there is some super cute pattern paper, a fun stencil - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

I'm starting off by sharing a fun CAS card - nearly one layer! Some paper piecing and stenciling to create lots of layers!

I started off by stamping that cute frog from the stamp set on my white cardbase, then used it as a placeholder to add the stenciled lily pad. I then stamped the same frog again on some of the pattern paper in the kit, and fussy cut it out to paper piece over the top. Didn't even have to mask to add the lily pad - perfect!

I added the sentiment underneath, the little fly (with a trail dotted on with a pen and colored with Copic markers), the wiggly eyes, and rounded off the top left corner to add some movement to this simple card!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

I have this fun layered card to share using one of the darling new release, paired up with some classic items from previous releases! And, I've been trying to film more videos and build my YouTube channel a bit, so I even have a video tutorial for this card! If you get a chance to watch, I'd love to know what you think!

Here is the video tutorial showing how I put this card together:

Since it's DIEcember, I kept the stamping on this card to a minimum, and focused on lots of die cutting! I loved the adorable Picture Book Mocha die from this release, and since I've also been in love with Buffalo plaid...it was only a matter of time until those two items were going to come together!

The background of my card is the previously released Holiday Knit Background - such a classic. I layered it over a Fog cardbase - love this soft gray color so much!

Sentiment was is from an older CZ Design paring - Hello You Stamp set and Hello Wafer Dies. The big hello is heat embossed in white on the die cut black word, and the smaller supporting sentiment is stamped in black on some Lipstick cardstock that was trimmed down with Sentiment Labels Wafer Die.

I used Nested Circles to die cut a vellum circle, and a kraft cardstock circle to nestle that little cup on. I tore the edge on the kraft paper to create a "ground" for the cup to rest on, then trimmed the sides of the circle to fit the edges of the front panel. I also added wiggly eyes to the cup - cause why not?!?

A bit of jute twine tied along the bottom finishes this sweet card off!

If you are looking for more inspiration with this fabulous release, I have a few other cards I've been posting over the past week - click on the photos or the links underneath each of them for more details on what I used and how I put them together!

Plaid Birthday Wishes - Simon Says Stamp DIEcember Release

Good morning! I'm back with another couple of cards for DIEcember using the fabulous NEW DIEcember release from Simon Says Stamp! Today I have a duo of cards featuring the beautiful new Birthday Wishes Circle Die! I made a lot of birthday cards, so I was excited about this die - so great for making a focal point on cards, especially if you add some gorgeous pattern paper to go along with it! And...in true DIEcember fashion - these cards have absolutely NO stamping on them - only die cutting!

I die cut a black circle using my Nested Circle Dies - there is one size that was just perfect to tuck behind this die.

I layered them together, then cut a circle one size larger from Lipstick cardstock to layer them together.

I chose two lovely pattern papers from my Photoplay Kringle and Co 6x6 Paper Pad - it was included in the December Card Kit that is now sold out, but still available separately.

I trimmed them down to A2 size panel, and then added some white splatters with white acrylic paint thinned down with a bit of water.

Next, I took those circles I had layered together, and punched a hole in each side of them.

I used that hole to thread through some jute string, and wrap it around the entire card front several times.

I attached each circle with a bit of foam adhesive at the top and bottom as well to make sure it was held sturdily in place.

Once everything was settled in place, I tied the bow along the side - the perfect bit of finishing texture to these cards!

Which background pattern paper do you like best? I've always loved Buffalo Plaid, but that other plaid is pretty lovely as well!

Love You Gnome Matter What - Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit

Good evening! I'm stopping by to share my first card created with the BRAND NEW December Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Gnome for the Holidays! This kit is SOOO much fun - the included large stamp set by the same name is absolutely ADORABLE, the pattern paper is GORGEOUS, the adorable Lil' Gnome Die is the CUTEST - not to mention fun stencil, mini action wobbles, blending brush, envelopes, and more!

I did something extra special for this card as well - I filmed a video! It had a super rare element for me - I had no idea what I was making when I started, so you get to follow along all the way with the entire process! I've posted it on my YouTube channel HERE, and also below so you can watch either place you prefer. :)

Here is the video - let me know what you think!

I ended up drawing my main inspiration from this pattern paper in the kit, so I went with that and got a bit creative with the Lil' Gnome Wafer Die - trimming the bottom layer so that I ended up with only gnome heads without the bodies attached (sounds kind of morbid when I say it that way - haha!) I also added some color and detail with Copic markers.

I layered together lots of the pattern paper from the kit - I ADORE this pattern paper! So fun and Christmasy!

Sentiment was heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock, and the final finishing touch was some pom-poms on the ends of the hats!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:
