Graphic Painted Leaf Cards - Simon Says Stamp

  Hello! Today I'm sharing a couple of fun die cut cards with some graphic layouts and fun touches - I'm also using lots of supplies from Simon Says Stamp! 

This past week I shared a couple cards using the fun Granulating watercolors that I picked up, and these cards featured anther way I put them to use! I die cut the new Basil Leaf die a few times from watercolor cardstock, then added color with one of the options in the palette. I love how as it dried, the colors shifted and changed to get this pretty mottled look! I die cut some arches from Honey Gold satin mirror cardstock using A2 Arches die, nesting each smaller size inside the next to get a variety of different sizes of frames, all from one piece of the cardstock. I adhered those in fun arrangements on each cardbase, tucking the watercolored leaves in and trimming off any excess stem pieces. I added sentiments from Swiss Dots set, and a few Pinkfresh Iridescent Dew Drops, then rounded off one corner on each card to finish off! Here is a closer look at each of these:

Arched Feel Better Cards- Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release

Good morning! Yesterday I shared a couple fun cards using some of the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release (you can see those cards HERE). Today I'm taking some of the leftovers from those cards, and showing how I used them to create two additional cards! One of my favorite things to do in cardmaking!

If you saw my post yesterday, you know I used Gansai Tambai Granulating Watercolors with the  Dahlia Background stamp set - I heat embossed it with Gold Pearl embossing powder on watercolor paper. Then I simply grabbed a single color of the watercolor, and dabbed it everywhere on the background image, adding a concentration of color on the flowers. I still love how magical the these colors are on these floral backgrounds! For these cards, I used the window I cut out of the center of the panels using A2 Arches die. I again used a couple of those same dies together with Honey Gold cardstock to create a simple thin frame to put around the edges. I popped those panels up with foam on my white cardbases, then added sentiments using Wildflower Cuttings stamp set, and a few little white leaf elements cut using Privet Branch. I finished off with a few coordinating Dazzling gems in Bubblegum and Lilac. Here is a closer look at these cards:

Arched Floral Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release

 Good morning! Today I've got a couple cards to share using some more of the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release! They also mix in a few older releases - and I love how they all work together so well! I used a new-to-me supply as well that I have fallen in love with!

On a recent Simon Says Stamp order, I picked up a set of Gansai Tambai Granulating Watercolors. And my-oh-my do I love them! I pulled out the Dahlia Background stamp set, and heat embossed it with Gold Pearl embossing powder on watercolor paper. Then I simply grabbed a single color of the watercolor, and dabbed it everywhere on the background image, adding a concentration of color on the flowers. Then I just let them dry, and the magic happened! Such a fun way to get a magical background! I die cut a window out of the center using A2 Arches die, then used a couple of those same dies together with Honey Gold cardstock to create a simple thin frame to put around the edges. I popped those panels up with foam on a Cream cardbase, then added sentiments in the center using CZ Inside greetings 1 stamp set. It felt like they needed a little something extra, so I die cut some greenery using Winsome Branch and Delicate Leafy branch on white cardstock, then some Ivory Glitter cardstock flowers using Poised Primula die. I added coordinating Dazzling gems in Bubblegum and Lilac to the centers of the flowers to finish off - and if you look closely, can you spot one of those gems that somehow shifted? I didn't notice until I was editing photos - and I did fix it, but didn't want to redo all the photos, and figured it wasn't really a big deal! Haha! Here is a closer look at the finished set:
