Floral Dragonfly Cards - Simon Says Stamp

 Hello! Today I'm sharing a couple of cards with fun floral backgrounds, and a beautiful die cut dragonfly that I love! I'm using lots of supplies from Simon Says Stamp!

I started off by creating the stamped backgrounds. I stamped the pretty Dahlia Background on white cardstock in two tones of colored ink - Pucker and Dusk, and then added clear heat embossing over top. Then I grabbed a lighter shade in each of those ink families - Blush and Sky - and did some soft ink blending around the outer edges, fading in softer towards the center. Perfect for pretty monochromatic backgrounds! Next, I grabbed Bright Dragonfly die to add to these. I die cut the body from some dark gray Luxe Glitter cardstock, then the wings from white cardstock and vellum to layer together - that way I got the soft look of the vellum, but the white cardstock behind to make sure it stood out from the background. Finally, added sentiments from the Reverse I See You printed sentiments, popped up with foam adhesive.

Love you More - Simon Says Stamp To Be Loved Release

 Hello! I'm dropping by with my first couple of cards using the BRAND NEW To Be Loved Release from Simon Says Stamp! This is the perfect complement to the To Love Release that dropped in December! I love making pairs of cards that are either different color combos, or subtle differences for a different look - I can't decide which one of these I like best!

I started off these cards by creating a beautiful shimmery background by heat embossing the new Tucked Hearts background stamp in white on some of the new Shimmer Vellum from Simon Says Stamp. The pearly sparkle on these backgrounds is SOOO pretty in real life! The sentiments were created with the new Groovy Love You More die. I cut both shadow layers from white cardstock, and the front layer on one card from Rose Gold metallic cardstock, and the other from some of the Luxe Glitter cardstock pack. I wrapped some Rose Gold Metallic cord around the cards before adding the sentiments with foam adhesive, and tied those in a bow. Finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Opal to finish off.
