See the World - Tim Holtz June coordinating die release Blog Hop

Good morning! I'm super excited today to be joining a fun blog hop featuring a another project using some new dies from the June 2026 installment of Tim Holtz coordinating dies that released yesterday from Simon Says Stamp There are so many fun techniques that are possible when you add coordinating dies! I shared a a card yesterday that uses another set in this release - if you're interested, you can check it out out HERE! 

I love using small images in repetition, and when I saw this cute little Eiffel tower, I just couldn't help but see it paired with pink, black, and gold - so perfect together!

I started off by stamping the image from Tiny Things multiple times with Nocturne ink, then heat embossing with clear embossing powder to add a subtle bit of shine. Then I die cut the image out with the coordinating Tiny Things dies. For the background, I did a bit of ink blending with Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry distress inks on watercolor paper, then misted with water to give a faux watercolor effect. Once that dried, I also added some Black Splatter for more texture. I used Tiny Text to heat emboss several sentiments in gold on black cardstock, then die cut those out with the coordinating Tiny Text dies. Then, I arranged everything on the card base, using foam strips to adhere the images and sentiments. I also tied a bit of gold cord around one of the images, and added a sprinkle of Gold Pearls to glam it up a bit extra! Here is a closer look at all that fun sparkle and shine:

Warm Wishes Interactive Tag - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I have a Christmas tag to share, using a couple items from the recent Simon Says Stamp DieCember Release - another couple items I hadn't used yet, and one I particularly wanted to work with before Christmas was over! This tag also has a fun interactive element - scroll down to see the smaller tag tucked in the pocket!

I actually started off with a penl cut with Chunky A2 Scallop Rectangle dies, and stamped some fun images from the Jingle All the Way set. When I was done, I wasn't really happy with the layout, so I decided to trim it out with one of the dies in Layered Scallop Tags, partially die cutting, so it left the scallops at the top. I then cut the tag layer for behind it from Lipstick Red cardstock. Before I adhered it down, I decided it would be fun to make a pocket, and tuck in another little tag - so I adhered that panel with just foam strips on the side and bottom, and then created a smaller tag. I stamped with more images from the stamp set to make it super cute! I added the tag toppers, threaded on some White ribbon and either some Gold Cord or Gold String, tucking the little tag inside the pocket. Finally, I embellished the tree with some Sunbeam Dazzling gems! Here are more photos, showing the interactive element as well:

Modern Vintage Holiday Cards - Simon Says Stamp

 Hello! Today was the next installment of the amazing Create Together classes with Simon Says Stamp - and this one featured the fabulous Cathy Zielske as the instructor (you can catch the replay HERE!)! I thought it would be fun to create a little additional inspiration, featuring some of the items from the kit, and mixing in a few little extras to stretch the supplies and give a different look. I love how these have a Vintage feel, but with a modern twist with the brighter colors and light airy tones!

I started off with the beautiful Festive Bough Pattern stencil. I used ink colors from the kit - Cabbage, Artichoke, Surf, and Ocean, then added a few additional colors - Rhubarb, Apple, and Cranberry. I used two tones of ink for most of the stencil layers to add shading and depth - the only exception was the layer with the berries, which obviously were a bit small for that! I took that panel, and trimmed it in half diagonally so I could create two cards with one panel. I added some soft ink blending around the edges using Latte ink to soften the colors and add the vintage feel. I stamped the White Christmas Text background stamp on my white cardbases in that same Latte ink, then used it to blend around the edges yet again to pull it all together. I added the stencil panels, and used thin foam adhesive strips just along the diagonal edge, and adhesive tape for the rest of it - this helped that part pop up and have a little extra dimension (I left one of the foam pieces with it's backing until I tucked the tag in). Once those two pieces were adhered together, I added a healthy dose of White Splatter Medium to the entire panel for even more vintage goodness! While that dried, I die cut some Nested Tags, and used the leftover ink on my brushes to add a bit of color to them. The sentiments are from Making Spirits Bright, stamped in Ocean and Cranberry ink for the large ones, and black for the secondary. I adhered everything together using foam adhesive as needed, added a twist of Vivant gold cord to the top of the tags, rounded off one corner on each card, and finally, added a little row of Dazzling Gold Gems along the diagonal edge! Love you More - Simon Says Stamp To Be Loved Release

 Hello! I'm dropping by with my first couple of cards using the BRAND NEW To Be Loved Release from Simon Says Stamp! This is the perfect complement to the To Love Release that dropped in December! I love making pairs of cards that are either different color combos, or subtle differences for a different look - I can't decide which one of these I like best!

I started off these cards by creating a beautiful shimmery background by heat embossing the new Tucked Hearts background stamp in white on some of the new Shimmer Vellum from Simon Says Stamp. The pearly sparkle on these backgrounds is SOOO pretty in real life! The sentiments were created with the new Groovy Love You More die. I cut both shadow layers from white cardstock, and the front layer on one card from Rose Gold metallic cardstock, and the other from some of the Luxe Glitter cardstock pack. I wrapped some Rose Gold Metallic cord around the cards before adding the sentiments with foam adhesive, and tied those in a bow. Finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Opal to finish off.
