Joy in the Ordinary - Paper Punch Border

Good evening! It's that fun time when the Unity Stamp Company Design Team has their monthly Hip Hop! I have a card using one of the newest Angie Girls, Brystl Girl - and a Quick Tip video showing how I used a paper border punch to create a fun embellishment for my card!

Here is the video - paper punches are a tool I often forget I have, so it was fun to put it to use again:

I did some simple coloring with Copics on the image - keeping the colors very neutral and simple.

And...this is a nice flat card that is easy to mail as well! YAY!

As always, there is a prize up for grabs - so make sure and leave a comment before you hop along!

Here are links to the products I used on this including affiliate links where possible - and below that the rest of the stops along the hop - make sure and visit them all! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!

Kindness Matters - Thank You Butterflies

Hello! In between the Christmas and wintry cards, and all the Valentine cards that are sure to be flooding the blog soon, I thought some fun spring theme thank you cards might be fun to share today! I used some stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti to put these together yesterday - and I so love how they came together! I also love cards that are easy to create sets of in different colors - with this layout and different color combos the possibilities are endless!

I am also linking these up with this week's Simon Says Monday Challenge - Anything Goes

I love the beautiful butterflies from Reverse Confetti's Butterfly Dreams stamp set. I stamped them in Aqua and Grape Soda Dye inks, and then cut them out with their Coordinating Confetti Cuts.

I die cut the beautiful Linked Circles Cover Panel from white cardstock, then used some coordinating distress inks to add a soft ombre background to the top and bottom of my card base before adhering over the top. Added the butterflies with foam tape - curling up the edges slightly for dimension - then finished off with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins.

Here are the Reverse Confetti supplies I used on this card - click on any of the photos to get a closer look at anything:

April 2016 Favorites

Good morning! Last year I had so much fun looking back over the past year and sharing a recap of my favorites from each month, that I thought I would go ahead and do it again! It's so fun to see how my style has changed or sometimes stayed the same throughout the year and to be reminded of techniques I haven't tried in a while either.

In April 2015, I had 29 posts just on this blog, and every month I had posts on other Design Team blogs!

I have posted links to the original post in case you missed it or would like more details! I am also going to box up some surprise goodie boxes filled with some gently used (and a few new) crafty goodies and pick some winners from any comments left on these 12 monthly recap posts (not each individual link from these posts!) - so if you're interested, make sure and leave a comment! I'm so grateful for each of you that has been part of this journey for me!
