N&T New Release - Just For You

Good morning yet again! It's Day 3 of the new release peeks at Neat and Tangled!

Today we played quite possibly my favorite set of the release called Just For You. It is a perfect birthday set - and who DOESN'T need more supplies to make birthday cards! Here is what I made:

I couldn't be happier with how this card came out! It wasn't at all what I planned, but sometimes those are the best ones, don't you think? I started off by pulling out some fun pattern papers from Glitz Designs Color Me Happy 6x6 paper pad. I made my layers, then stamped and heat embossed my sentiment.

Next, I stamped the balloon several times, colored them with Copics, and fussy cut out. I attached jute twine to each of them with washi tape on the backside. As I started to layer them on, I realized that they just didn't pop enough...so I cut a stitched circle from white cardstock with a Lil' Inker's Die, and it was perfect! I attached each balloon with foam adhesive, then tied the jute twine together at the bottom, and trimmed off the extra.

Finished off by adding a touch of Stickles to the balloons, and a few Crystal Clear Sequins.

N&T New Release - Santa's Tags

Good morning! It's Day 2 of the new release peeks at Neat and Tangled!

Today we played with a set called Santa's Tags - Here is what I made:

The bag is a larger size glassine treat bag that I picked up a while ago at Michael's. I thought it would be fun to embellish as a fun little bag to tuck a little treat in for someone. I stamped the tag, sentiment, and fun touches on PTI Rustic White cardstock using MFT inks, then fussy cut it out.

Wrapped some May Arts yellow mesh type ribbon around the bag, then adhered a doily on top of it in the front.

Added some satin ribbon and baker's twine to the tag, then attached it with foam adhesive.

Super quick and simple! Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure and head over to Neat and Tangled to see all the other Design Team samples, and to check out the info on today's giveaway! Have a great day!!!

N&T New Release - Simple Christmas

Good morning! Happy Monday! I'm super excited today to be kicking off the first day of sneak peeks for the new release at Neat and Tangled!

Today we played with a set called Simple Christmas - so many fun images! Here is what I made:

I started off with some kraft cardstock and stamped and heat embossed my images and sentiment with white embossing powder. I trimmed it to size, distressed the edges, then added some machine stitching around the edges. Next, I sprayed on some Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine, let that dry a bit, and added some white Mister Huey's mist, blotting it with some scrap paper.

I added some distress ink to the edges, folded a bit of doily around, and added a wrap and bow of natural jute twine before mounting it on a simple cardbase to which I had also applied a bit of distress ink.

My Craft Spot New Release, Hop, and Giveaway!

{{{If you're looking for my Shop Pumpkin Spice Hop post, click HERE or scroll down to the last post}}}

Good morning - and welcome to the new release hop for My Craft Spot! All the new dies and stamps are available for purchase - and you can view them over at My Craft Spot now! I'm particularly fond of the new Jar Basics stamp set and coordinating metal dies - LOVE!!! If you have just hopped over from Kate you are in the right spot, otherwise make sure and head over to My Craft Spot to start at the beginning - there is a giveaway of a new stamp or die set on each blog along the way!

I love some of the adorable images, and really wanted to play with them a bit. I ended up making a Fall card with very non-traditional colors:

I got my acorn image and it's cute face from this new set:

And my sentiment came from this set:

I started by stamping and fussy cutting out the acorns with some Basic Grey Pattern paper. The rectangle and circle were cut using Lil' Inker's stitched circle and rectangle dies. I attached the acorns with foam adhesive, and added some Stickles to their "hats" and some Glossy Accents to their eyes.

I rolled up the paper piecing on the top of them just a bit to make them look a bit more 3 dimensional. You can see it a little better in this picture:

The background paper of the card is from a Crate Paper 6x6 paper pad, and I added some May Arts lace trim, some Natural Jute Twine from My Craft Spot, and some of the new sequins that My Craft Spot carries from the Toadally Green and Tickled Pink packs.

I'm so glad you stopped by today! If you made it all the way to here, it's time for the giveaway info! Here is the set Kimberly has provided for this stop on the hop - make sure and leave a comment before you go for a chance to win it!

SPS September Hop - Work Theme

Good morning! Today is the first Saturday of the month, so the Shop Pumpkin Spice DT is hopping with the new challenge for this week. If you've just hopped here from Marlene, then you are in the right place, otherwise feel free to hop back to the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog to start at the beginning.

The challenge theme for the week is Work...and I since I have the privilege of staying home, this is pretty much what I think of when I think of work!

Yep! Laundry! Not my favorite household task, but it still beats washing windows (definitely my LEAST favorite household task!) I used a fun Unity Stamp that SPS carries called Loads of Love, stamped it on watercolor paper, heat embossed it with Brown Sugar Zing embossing powder. I colored it with my Tim Holtz distress markers, and used a waterbrush over it to give it a watercolor feel, then stamped my sentiment with some green MFT ink - also coloring and waterbrushing the heart in the center of the "o" - then cut it out with a Lil' Inker's stitched rectangle die.

My pattern papers are from Echo Park's 6x6 For the Record 2 paper pad. I added a bit of woodgrain washi across the top, then a couple different stickers from the For the Record  2 Tailored Alpha Stickers and For the Record 2 Tailored Elements Stickers. Finished off with a bit of Stickles on the watercolored image.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! You're next stop is the SPS Blog - so you're right at the end! Here is the rest of the blog hop line-up in case you get lost along the way:

Have a great day!!!

MCS Fall Release - Day 5

Good morning - and welcome to the 5th and final day of sneak peeks for the Fall Release over at My Craft Spot! Tomorrow is the blog hop and full reveal! Today we are sharing samples made with Jar Full of Fall stamp set. I decided to use it a little differently, and not fill a jar with it:

Aren't those little pumpkins the cutest? I stamped them on watercolor paper, then squished my MFT ink pads on a nonstick mat, and picked the color up with a water brush to color in the images. LOVE how soft and pretty they came out! I didn't quite wait long enough for it to dry before stamping my sentiment, but I don't mind how it makes it look a bit soft as well!

I mounted it on some pattern paper from an older Echo Park paper pad, added some Ivory Jute Twine wrapped around and tied in a loose bow, then glued on a couple of the new sequins that My Craft Spot carries - from the collection called Toadally Green. Finished off by mounting that with foam adhesive on an Avery Elle cardstock cardbase - offset to the right edge.

Thanks for stopping by again today! I'll see you tomorrow for the full reveal, release, and hop with a giveaway to celebrate! Have a great day!!!
