Textured Floral Card Trio - Simon Says Stamp August 2026 Card Kit

Good morning! I'm dropping by to share a few more cards using the newest August 2026 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Made to Flourish! This month's kit is a wonderful and eclectic mix of florals - most of them aren't really designed to work together, but instead to give you lots of fun variety for whatever technique or style you want to use! The included Made to Flourish stamp set has some adorable floral and vase images, and super cute and playful sentiments. The coordinating dies are also included in the kit, which is amazing! There are some printed floral watercolor panels, a layered floral die, an embossing folder, beautiful floral ephemera, and that's all not to mention the cardbases, watercolor cardstock, Distress Crayons, and more! And, there are also several add on sets available in the store now!

I had lots of fun with this fun layered set! I actually had recently picked up THIS pack of handmade paper from SSS, and used those as the base for my cards. I trimmed a couple pieces in half to make them perfectly sized for my cardfronts (which I trimmed slightly less wide, so they are 4"x5 1/2"). I scribbled each of the 3 Distress Crayons in my kit (Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn, and Fossilized Amber) onto my glass mat, misted with water, then smooshed the handmade paper onto them to get a soft background. They are SOOO pretty and textured - I love it! Once those dried, I added a couple of the Flowers Ephemera from the kit onto each one, popping up with foam, and a sentiment from the Made to Flourish stamp and die set, heat embossed in white on black cardstock. A few coordinating Dazzling Gems in Butter, Sprout, and Taffy, and then some May Arts jute string (I added more from my stash beyond the 12" in the kit) - and these cards were finished! Neutral Love You - Simon Says Stamp May 2026 Card Kit

Good morning! I'm dropping by to share another card using the newest May 2026 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Long Stem Florals! This month's kit has some fun florals with a modern feel, and some elements with a vintage twist - such a fun combo! The included stamp set by the same name has a fun set of coordinating stencils included for some creative fun. There are some rub-ons, pattern paper, embossing glaze (colors may vary), distress crayon, fun frames and floral embellishments, and that's all not to mention the cardstock, metallic kraft stock, and more! And, there is also a coordinating die available that is live in the store now as well!

This card features a simple monochromatic color scheme - if you left the little flower embellishments off, I think it would work fabulous for a masculine card! I started off with a panel of watercolor cardstock, and the Walnut Stain Distress Crayon in the kit. I scribbled a line down the entire panel, then misted with water, and used a brush to spread the color around the panel. Once that dried, I tore the edges off and adhered onto a white cardbase. I chose that one main pre-printed panel from the Simple Stories pattern paper in the kit, and used a small strip of a different piece to tuck underneath it. Finished off with a little cluster of those pretty Heirloom Roses embellishments! Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Heart Smile - Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the newest May 2025 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Beautiful and Curious! This month's kit has a great vintage feel to it! The included stamp set by the same name features some florals and collage type images (there is also a coordinating die for this set available separately HERE). There are some fun pattern papers, distress crayons, sentiment strips...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

For my first card to share, I'm mostly focusing on the included stamp set, as well as those fun distress crayons! I started off by doing a little scribble of each of the 4 crayons in my kit on watercolor paper, then added some water to smooth them out to create a background. Once that dried, I grabbed the pretty floral image from the stamp set, and stamped it a few times in varying arrangements and angles over the smooshed background. I also used the little splatter image to stamp some added texture, and stamped the sentiment in the center. I finished off by adding little clusters of coordinating Dazzling Gems - while some of the colors weren't exact matches, I love they sort of adjust to the background color to match! Watercoloring with Distress Crayons

Good morning! In all my Quick Tip videos, I often had requests for one with Distress Crayons. Well, I recently picked up my first set, so finally got this card AND a Quick Tip video made using them!

Here is the video showing them in action:

I was actually quite surprised by how creamy and easy to work with they were. I didn't even use watercolor paper for this card, just good heavy cardstock.
