Floral Art Deco Shaker Card - Simon Says Stamp Every Happiness Release

Good morning! I'm still having lots of fun with the BRAND NEW Every Happiness release from Simon Says Stamp, and today I'm sharing a bold shaker card with a bright pop of color, and some contrasting black and white accents! I love these happy colors bursting out of the shaker element!

I started this card off with the gorgeous new Bellflower Blossoms background layering stencil, using Carnation, Grapefruit, Tropic, and Apple inks on the layers, then blending some Buttercream ink around the edges to soften the stark white background. Once I decided it would make a fun shaker card, I cut a window from a panel of white cardstock with one of the new Chunky Ovals dies to create the shaker, and then filled it with the two new embellishments - Flamingo and Creamsicle. I didn't plan on it, but they coordinated PERFECTLY with the colors I used! I added some tiny corner embellishments with the Deco Blossoms set, heat embossing them with clear embossing powder over the Nocturne ink, and popping them up on foam. Sentiment is the new XL EZ Strips Reverse Big Bold Headlines sentiment strips, and a secondary sentiment from that same Deco Blossoms set, heat embossed the same way, and hand trimmed into a tiny banner. Finished off with a wrap of white twine tied around the front! Here are more photos of this bright and bold card:

Glow On Fox - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Good evening - and happy end of June! Finishing out the month with ONE more card with the new Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp - one of those cards using a bunch of leftover items from other cards. Sometimes that is fun, because I combine things I might not have picked up to put together, but they end up working in a way I didn't plan or expect. Always a surprise!

The background was created with the negative piece from Dancing Meadows that I used on THIS card, layered over a cardbase created with Seashell cardstock. There are a couple A7 Arches tucked in on top of it, one from Ivory Glitter cardstock that was left from THIS card that posted this morning, and then I cut another one in the same size from white cardstock to offset for a shadow effect. I die cut another of the Dancing Meadows from Apricot cardstock, and grabbed some of those pieces to layer on the card. The fox is one from Clever Fox that I had stamped, stenciled, and die cut along with the ones I used on THIS card, THIS card, and THIS treat box. I also added a coordinating little bow with Prima twine around his neck. Sentiment is one I die cut and didn't use on the project I had planned to put it on - die cut from the new Glow On die with a secondary sentiment from EZ Strips Glow On Reverse Sentiment Strips. A few Dazzling Clear Gems tucked around finish this card off! Here are more photos of all the layers and details on this card:

Incandescent Fish - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Hello! Super excited to be sharing my first card with the BRAND NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp that just dropped! I have so many cards to share with you - so be ready for a ton in the next few days! But this bright happy one seemed like the perfect place to begin!

I started off by die cutting and assembling some of the ADORABLE Fun Fish die set using Lipstick and Orange Peel cardstocks - then adding on the hilarious wiggly eyes. I then die cut one of the new Embossed Squovals from white cardstock, then used a previously released Squoval die to cut a window and create a frame, and a slightly larger one to cut another panel of Ivory glitter cardstock. I layered the white frame over the glitterly one with foam adhesive. I added some strips of Audrey cardstock to my white cardbase, then added my frame and all the cute fishies on top. Sentiment is from Balloon Critters, white heat embossed on black cardstock, and then a secondary sentiment from EZ Strips Glow On Reverse Sentiment Strips. Finishing touch was one rounded corner on my cardbase, and a sprinkle of Surf Dazzling gems! Here are lots more photos of this bright and happy card:

Happy Wedding Day - Simon Says Stamp Always There Release

Good morning! I'm back today to a wedding theme card using the NEW Simon Says Stamp Always There Release! This one has a bit of traditional Valentine's Day colors, but I think it's kind of a bold and fun take on a wedding card - and would be easy to switch up just by some simple color changes!

I started off by cutting the new Drawn Hearts cover die from white cardstock, and backing it with some bright and happy Lipstick Red cardstock. I created a window from white cardstock with a Stitched Rectangle die, then created a perfectly sized frame with the same die and the next size up from Honey Gold cardstock. Sentiment is the new Timeless Love die, cut from more Honey Gold and black cardstock for the shadow layer, then I added secondary sentiments from the new Reverse Traditional Wedding EZ Strips sentiment strips. I tucked those under the edge of the frame, and added a tiny bit of foam adhesive on the outer edges for some fun dimension! Here are some more photos of this finished card:

Hanging Herbs - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I recently was perusing Pinterest on one of those occasions when I felt like I was stalling and trying to get my creative juices flowing. That usually works to get me inspired, and this time was no exception! I came across some images of cute little hanging herbs, and suddenly had the idea to create something similar on a card! I mixed and matched some older and newer releases from Simon Says Stamp and got busy crafting! This card also has lots of lovely texture thanks to die cutting felt - and also a little trick to help keep the felt more stable!

I love using felt on cards, but sometimes when you are die cutting, the pieces are so thin and dainty that the felt falls apart if you aren't careful. I had the idea to die cut once from felt, and once from white cardstock, and then glue them together. It worked beautifully! Perfectly stable, but all the fun texture of the felt! I used Aurora Blooms die set to cut my stems to resemble herbs, and die cut them from Benzie Everbloom felt colors. For the "string" I used the recently released Festive Bunting die, and cut it from Desert Storm cardstock. I die cut some little bows from Ribbon Loop Frames die to finish the look. I wanted a softer background, so I grabbed some coordinating Cabbage, Field, and Pine inks, blended a bit on some watercolor paper, then misted with water for a faux watercolor effect. Once that dried, I added some Black Splatter, and then set that aside to dry. Sentiment was created with Reverse Birthday EZ Strips, and Basic Brushstroke Greetings. I added a good sprinkle of Dazzling Sprout gems to the background, and one of Dazzling Gold to the center of each of the bows for plenty of sparkle! Here are more photos of the finished card:

Floral Textured Circle - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! It's time for another leftover card! Yesterday I shared a card with a fun technique using a few different items from Simon Says Stamp - I had some extra pieces left, and put them together with some other supplies to create this airy and bright card! This time the floral arrangement is more dimensional, instead of adhered to the acetate with the collage medium. But both versions have their own unique appeal! I can't decide which one I like best! :)

I started off with the circle of light blue pattern paper that was leftover from the window I cut in yesterday's card, and some extra florals and leaves from the same pattern paper and Wildflower Bucket and Country Basket Bouquet dies. I tucked them all around that die cut circle, adhering with liquid glue. I matted that on the larger die cut white circle - also leftover from yesterday's card! I added that onto a white panel embossed with the Dotted Spiral embossing folder, using the debossed side facing up. I added sentiments from Reverse Beautiful Friend EZ strips sentiment strips, trimming the larger sentiment in half and tucking it in from opposite sides. I finished off by embellishing the centers of the flowers with coordinating Dazzling Gems in Sunbeam and Royal. Here are more photos of the finished card:

Framed Birthday Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I often struggle to have good masculine cards in my stash, so I thought it was high time to replenish the supply! I broke out some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp and set to work the other day, and created quite a few! This is the first that I'll be sharing in 3 installments over the next few days! And it's one of those times where one set of cards led to another - all the way to using up the leftovers. My favorite!

I started off by grabbing Square Shaker Shapes to create some pattern paper frames. I taped the two dies together so they would stay consistent, then die cut 3 pieces of pattern paper, and 3 extra from white cardstock to layer together. This way the frames are a bit more sturdy for popping up with foam! For the background, I embossed some Lawn Fawn Speckled Eggshell cardstock with the Twinkling Stars embossing folder from the Rainbow Splash collection for some subtle texture. I layered up another strip of those pattern papers on the side, then splattered with a touch of black splatter. Once that dried, I popped up my frames on a diagonal with foam adhesive strips. The sentiments are an older Happy Birthday sentiment die, cut from black cardstock for the shadow layer, and Honey Gold cardstock for the front layer. I added secondary sentiments from Reverse EZ Strips Birthday, cut with the EZ Strips Banners die, then finished off with a few coordinating Enamel Dots to accent! Here is a closer look at each of these finished cards:
