Monochromatic Floral Frame Thanks - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Finishing out the month with one more card, and I think it's one of my favorites! It took me a little while to get it all where I was happy with it, but in the end, I love how it turned out! I used a few items from the newest release at Simon Says Stamp - and feel like I channeled my inner Emily Midgett for this card - which is especially fitting, since she is the one who illustrated this set!

I started off with some new colors of Concord & 9th cardstock - the main color is called Bluebell. I stamped the new Daisy Frame image and white heat embossed it on a panel of that color, then ink blended over the top with the coordinating stencils using Twilight and Galaxy inks. I die cut it with the coordinating die, and just love all the fun detail! I used another panel of that same color of cardstock for the background, trimmed a tiny bit smaller than my white A2 cardbase, then added a smaller panel of white cardstock that I embossed with the Whirlpool Spinner embossing folder. I added a few thin strips on a diagonal with more of the C&9 cardstock, this time the color I used was Capri. The sentiment was the part I struggled with the longest - I kept trying other things, but just didn't love them. Then, I pulled out the new Opulent Thanks sentiment die, and it was like the magical music started playing - it was perfect! I die cut it from white glitter cardstock, and the shadow layer from vellum, then adhering it on that same diagonal from the smaller cardstock strips. Perfection! Here is a closer look at all the fun details on this monochromatic card:

Simple Quirky Daisies - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Good morning! Today I've got a more clean and simple floral card, a little more on the cute and quirky side, but still using the new Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp. I love how floral cards can go anywhere from more elegant and fancy like last night's card, to cute and modern like today's card! Which style is your favorite?

For this card, I also used a new die set that is mostly designed for a larger size card - the A7 Arches die. The great thing about using this die for smaller sized cards is that it is taller and thinner, so you get an entirely different look. I love how it almost feels like the right size for stained glass! I cut a window from an A2 panel of white cardstock, then nested the same size and one size larger to create a frame from Ivory glitter cardstock. I backed the window with some Rainbow Splash Caramel cardstock, and popped the front panel up with foam adhesive. I die cut the new Quirky Daisies die set from Rainbow Splash Emerald cardstock, Simon Says Stamp Honey cardstock, and then white cardstock, and assembled, then tucked the bottom under the lower edge of the frame, and the flowers up with foam adhesive. Sentiment is from Cottagecore Flowers set, and a tiny row of Clear Dazzling Gems went up in the top right side of the arch. A tiny bow cut from Little Bows die set and more of the same glitter cardstock is the final touch! Here is a closer look:

Foxy Treat Box - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Good morning! Today I've got a fun treat box to share with you - once again using that adorable fox set from the NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp! While I did purchase that treat box die from Simon Says Stamp, I noticed it is not available anymore there unfortunately. It is the Spellbinders Ribbon Box die if you end up wanting to search for it - and I linked up a couple alternatives below in case you wanted to recreate the design with a slightly differently shaped box!

I cut the box from Cream cardstock, then wrapped the White May Arts Ribbon around and tied at the top - it could easily be untied after it was assembled, to put something inside it. I added a strip of silver Metallic Kraft cardstock on the bottom, then a Nested Rounded Heart cut from Ivory glitter cardstock. I added the fox from Clever Fox, colored with the stencils and the same ink colors as the past couple cards - Clay, Terracotta, Ballerina, Cozy, and Buttercream inks using the new Detail Shading brushes. Sentiment is from Balloon Critters, heat embossed in white on black cardstock. A few sparkly Dazzling Gems in Clear finish this project off! Here are more photos:

Bright Boom - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Good morning! What else would I be doing this morning, but sharing more of the BRAND NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp? Today's card is bright and happy - and with a color twist from what I would expect a card like this to have - maybe leaning a bit more on the girly side? I think it turned out fun though!

I started off by die cutting the Big Boom die, using black and white cardstock for the larger layer to offset for a shadow effect, then cutting the words both with white. I ink blended Peony and Sunbeam ink onto those layers, then assembled them together. For the background, I die cut the new Falling Stars coverplate die from Audrey cardstock, and layered Doll Pink cardstock behind it for a fun pop of color. I heat embossed a sentiment in white on black cardstock using the Boom stamp set, and hand trimmed it into a small banner. I created a frame around the card using A2 Notched Rectangles die, and adding an inside bit with white glitter cardstock to frame it up a bit. Finished off with a wrap of white twine tied around, and a few tiny Dazzling Taffy gems on the main word! Here are more photos showing all the fund details on this card:

Birthday Fox - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Good evening! I'm back with another card using the BRAND NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp - I did say I had lots of projects to share in the next couple days, didn't I? And even more fair warning - you will be seeing lots of these adorable foxes. Not only have they been one of my favorite animals for a long time, but these ones are adorable AND come with coloring stencils! Can you tell why I'm happy?!?

I started off by stamping and ink blending this sweet fox using the Clever Fox set and a mix of Clay, Terracotta, Ballerina, Cozy, and Buttercream inks - as well as one of the fun new Detail Shading brushes (which I love!). I then layered up some pattern papers for the background from Simple Stories Pink Lemonade and Color Me Happy paper pads. I added a small strip of Audrey cardstock to separate the two pieces. I used a window that was leftover from another card for which I used the new Embossed Squovals. You know how I love to not waste anything if I don't have to! I created an outer frame using a couple of the previously released Squovals dies and some Ivory Glitter cardstock to glam it up a bit. The sentiment is from another new set called Plane Awesome. A bit of Prima Yarn and some glittery enamel dots finish this card off!

Incandescent Fish - Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release

Hello! Super excited to be sharing my first card with the BRAND NEW Shine On Release from Simon Says Stamp that just dropped! I have so many cards to share with you - so be ready for a ton in the next few days! But this bright happy one seemed like the perfect place to begin!

I started off by die cutting and assembling some of the ADORABLE Fun Fish die set using Lipstick and Orange Peel cardstocks - then adding on the hilarious wiggly eyes. I then die cut one of the new Embossed Squovals from white cardstock, then used a previously released Squoval die to cut a window and create a frame, and a slightly larger one to cut another panel of Ivory glitter cardstock. I layered the white frame over the glitterly one with foam adhesive. I added some strips of Audrey cardstock to my white cardbase, then added my frame and all the cute fishies on top. Sentiment is from Balloon Critters, white heat embossed on black cardstock, and then a secondary sentiment from EZ Strips Glow On Reverse Sentiment Strips. Finishing touch was one rounded corner on my cardbase, and a sprinkle of Surf Dazzling gems! Here are lots more photos of this bright and happy card:

I put some of the ADORABLE new dies in this release to use, and created this sweet little trio of cards - the cuteness is just too much!

I started off by die cutting and assembling the adorable Fable Lion, Fable Elephant, and Fable Giraffe dies using a variety of different cardstock colors, and doing a bit of ink blending on the pieces to add some extra dimension. Cardstocks and inks are all listed below! I also die cut and created windows and layered frames using the new A2 Notched Rectangles dies and Sparkler Scallop Frames. The frame around the window is white glitter cardstock, and I tucked some pattern paper behind from Carta Bella Lemonade 6x6 paper pad. I added sentiments from the new Classic Friendship stamp and die set, heat embossed in gold, and then added coordinating gems in opposing corners of each card. Finished off with a few white gel pen dots on the cheeks (that also had a bit of soft pink inking on them) and coordinating bows from Prima yarn. Here are lots more photos, and closer images of each of these adorable critters!
