Peace Love and Joy Tags

Good morning! Popping in this morning to share the next set of cards I made for a friend - this time a set of 4, with two each of different color combos:

I also made these to join in on the current AEI{heart}U Challenge - Metallics:

I did two of the tags with gold embossing powder, and two with silver - then used some distress ink on the edges to add a bit more of a vintage feel to them.

I heat embossed, watercolored, then fussy cut out the little birds from the same Avery Elle stamp set as the sentiment, then adhered them at the bottom with a little coordinating silver or gold thread tucked under.

At the top, I looped in some ribbon, tucked a bit of doily underneath, layered on a large gold or silver sequin, and attached them with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher.

I think these might be my favorites of the set - although I keep changing my mind! Here are the supplies used on these - I couldn't link the ribbon, since it was older and from my stash and I couldn't find it! Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

Homespun Christmas Tags

Good morning! Aside from working on Christmas cards this past weekend (which I will be sharing SOON!!!) - I had a friend request 10 Christmas tags - she said they could be all the same, or different. So I ended up making 3 different designs, and 3 or 4 of each one. First up - I thought I would share these homespun designs!

I also made this to play along with the current challenge at Little Tangles - Create a Tag:

I die cut the tags, then layered my stamps on in different colors of SSS ink. I then die cut some hearts, sponged them with the same color ink as I had stamped (so they would be a perfect match!) - then attached on the house, and covered with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. Added a few accents with a white gel pen and some Stickles, then added some older ribbon from my stash and some pretty orange hemp twine, also from my older stash!

Here are (most) of the supplies I used on these tags - thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Avocado Arts June Cards - Life's a Beach

Good morning! I'm up on the Avocado Arts blog this morning with a few cards using the new stamp set for June! This is such a fun and summery stamp set - who doesn't love the beach?!?!? Here is what it looks like:

I have still been loving watercolors so much - and as soon as I saw this set, I just knew that boat was going to get the watercolor treatment! Here is my first card with this set:

I usually use Versafine ink to watercolor, since it is waterproof, but for this one, I wanted it to run together a bit, so I just used my normal Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. I used my Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges of that panel as well as the sentiment panel. My sentiment was stamped with some Hero Arts shadow ink. Pattern paper is from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad, and I added some jute twine, wood veneer stars, sequins, and enamel dots. Each layer also has foam adhesive - so lots of dimension on this card too!

Next up - I went for a much more clean and simple look:

I stamped and heat embossed the anchor on my pattern paper with Zing embossing powder, then cut it in a circle with my Lil' Inker's Stitched Circle Die. Added some score lines to my white cardstock to frame it a bit, some enamel dots from Eyelet Outlet, and some soft sheer ribbon by American Crafts.

There are also several new mini sets that are newly released - I decided to use one of them to make a Father's Day card:

And here is my card - I think I'm going to send it to my dad!

Pattern paper is by MME, I added some Thickers for the word "dad" at the top, and heat embossed my sentiment on dark brown cardstock , then hand trimmed it into a banner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Paper Smooches - I {heart} you

Good evening again! I have to say that I truly could NOT wait to play along with this weeks Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge! Here is what I made:
And here is the DARLING inspiration piece! Now can you tell why I couldn't wait to play along?!?!?
I decided to start by pulling the finger theme through, and used Helping Hands for the "I Love You" in sign language. I colored it on white cardstock with Copic markers, then paper pieced it onto some fun tidbits cut from some American Crafts paper - which is where I got all my pattern paper.
I did the same with the heart on the sentiment, then added the mustache, and the eyes only from the smiley face from Hot Concoctions.
Inked all the edges with distress ink, then tucked a bit of American Crafts Ribbon in there as well.
So fun! I just LOVE my Paper Smooches stamps! That's all for me tonight - but make sure and stop by tomorrow for the Shop Pumpkin Spice monthly blog hop! See you then!
