Bright and Fun Birthday Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Today I've got a bright and bold trio of Birthday cards to share using supplies from Simon Says Stamp! For these cards, I chose 3 bright and fun colors of cardstock that worked well together, and then alternated all 3 colors in a different order for each card!

I started off with colored cardstock from Concord and 9th Celebration Jewels cardstock pack. I used Waffle Flower Cross-Hatch Texture die to cut 3 background panels, then used Scripty Happy Birthday  to cut the large sentiments. I added some leaves using Delicate Leafy Branch from white cardstock, and added flowers to that with Sweet Tiny Flowers dies and some scraps of the same colored cardstock. I assembled all together, alternating the colors. So each card has all 3 colors of cardstock, but in a different order. Love how different they each look! I added secondary sentiments from EZ Strips Birthday sentiments, hand trimming the edges into a banner shape. Finished off with some coordinating jewels in the centers of the flowers to pull all the colors together! Here is a closer look at all of these finished cards:

Reading Girl Birthday Card

Hello! I'm stopping by today with a just for fun card to share - actually one that I created for my youngest daughter's 18th birthday in September. I made this at the craft retreat I went to earlier that month in Wisconsin with my friend Lea Lawson, and one of the attendee's let me borrow some of her stamps to play with. As soon as I saw this set from Hello Bluebird stamps, I knew it was perfect for my daughter - she is in love with reading, as well as rainy days! What could be better, truly?!?

I was using everyone else's craft supplies, since I had flown and didn't pack any of my own, so I borrowed Copic markers to color all the images. I don't have a list of the colors I used, but I kept to pretty soft neutral tones in shades of warm cream and brown, and some soft sage greens.

I took my time coloring and enjoying the process - not something I feel like I often have enough time to do anymore! It was the perfect way to relax and have fun!

Once I had all the images cut out, I die cut with the coordinating dies, and then got ready to build my scene.

I used a Pinkfresh Studio Stitched Diamonds coverplate to die cut a panel to adhere to add some background pattern to the wall. Love the added texture! I trimmed it off at the bottom to add a reference line for the floor.

Next, I die cut a Waffle Flower stitched oval die (that I was gifted at the retreat - great timing, huh?) and die cut out a "rug" to put at the bottom. I colored it with coordinating Copic markers for a perfect tone match to the rest of the card.

I stamped my secondary sentiment on the bottom of that, and my main sentiment from a Simon Says Stamp Birthday Sentiments stamp set on the cardbase, and adhered all the little elements for my scene with foam adhesive for dimension. My daughter loved it - her only comment was that there was no way she would put her tea cup on top of the pile of books. Haha!

Special Delivery Duo - Simon Says Stamp July 2020 Card Kit

Good morning! I'm stopping by with a couple more cards created with the July Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Home Sweet Home! This kit is such a fun kit at a time when many of us have been spending lots of time at home! The included stamp set by the same name has a lovely and versatile cityscape, and is and filled with fabulous sentiments, there is some fabulous pattern paper,  fun die set - not to mention the Cardstock, stickers, and more!

Today I'm sharing a simple duo of cards that looks rather complicated...but thanks to the lovely pattern paper in this kit, came together SOO quickly and easily with minimal effort!

I love the gorgeous Waffle Flower Special Delivery pattern paper in this kit - both of these panels were trimmed from one of the pieces of paper.

I trimmed them a bit smaller than my white cardbases, and adhered them directly onto the cardbases.

I then added a few sparkly white jewels in varying sizes to the flowers and the stamp on the envelope for a bit of sparkle and simple dimension.

And just like that - these easy peasy cards were done! Almost embarrassing to post them since they were so easy! :)

Home Sweet Home Shaker - Simon Says Stamp July 2020 Card Kit

Hello! I'm stopping by to share my first card created with the BRAND NEW July Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Home Sweet Home!

Today I'm sharing a simple and fun offset shaker design using the kit!

Here is the video sharing how this card came together:

I used a clear card sleeve to create this shaker element - but use what you have on hand. Stamp packaging works well, even a decent zip lock bag would be fine!

It's so fun to have a shaker go right up to the edge of the card - in this case, creating a semi-circle. Kind of makes me think of a snowglobe!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

What's your favorite part of this kit?

Farm Animal Note Card Set

Good morning! So...I'm kinda super happy with how these cards came out! A couple of my daughter's friends are in 4-H and were having a fundraiser - and asked if I would donate some cards for them to auction off. I wasn't sure I was going to have time to make something special, and was just going to let them choose from the cards I already had made, but ended up with just enough time one morning last week to squeeze these in! I used farm animals to make a simple set of notecards - 2 each of 3 different designs.

I used my one and only set of stamps from Waffle Flower Crafts (definitely need to change that and get more - they have some adorable stuff!) - as well as the little Alpaca from a lawn fawn set.

All the pattern paper came from the same Heidi Swapp pattern paper pad that I picked up locally, and couldn't find a name on it or a link to it online - but it was perfect for these!

Did some machine stitching (accidently sewed the two alpaca card fronts TOGETHER with the zig zags - had to rip out that seam, then carefully resew, matching the stitches painstakingly in the same holes so it wouldn't be too obvious - OOPS!!!)

Tucked some doily under, and added a few splatters with some black Heidi Swapp Color Shine to finish it off. Bonus? These are even flat and can be mailed without extra postage! Score! :)
