Pigment Ink "Finger Painting - Unity Stamp new release

Good morning! Sharing a super quick and easy card today - playing with pigment ink and essentially "finger painting" these images!

Here is a video showing what I mean:

After they were colored in, I sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heat embossed - you can see the shine a little here:

Some sparkly sequins were the perfect finishing touch!

Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Crazy Birds

Good morning! Super excited to share a fun trio of cards I made with the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamp set - these crack me up every time, and I absolutely LOVE playing with them! Here is a quick peek at all 3 cards - and then I have close ups of each one below:

I also made this for a few challenges - first up, the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. This actually worked for two days - the birds were all done one day, and I added the coloring under them the next day!

Simon Says Monday Challenge - One Stamp, Many Ways (I one stamp SET for the images, and one for the sentiments):

Also linking up with the Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday Challenge - Spring (what is more spring than birds? Even when they look this silly!):

Now - here are close ups of each one! I paired them up with sentiments from Simon Says Stamp's Inside and Out Sentiments - although I used all the sentiments on the front.

I used Jennifer Mcguire's technique of coloring with pigment ink for these images. Love how it worked!

I used some Memento Luxe ink in a couple different color combos, and just dipped my finger in, and smeared it around.

I then covered them with clear embossing powder and heat embossed for the same shine she had on her projects.

I fussy cut them out, and then paper pieced them onto my card base to make sure the legs and finer details showed up.

I re-stamped on white cardstock, and fussy cut out the eyes, then paper pieced those on so they were nice and clear and white - then covered them with a nice heavy and thick coat of Glossy Accents (then waited FOREVER for it to dry!) :)

Finally, I stamped my sentiments, then added some grounding under them with some Copic Markers (I actually did this the next day after everything had dried. Here are some close up pictures of each bird showing the texture from the embossing powder:

So cute and fun! These are quickly becoming a new favorite!

Thank you Floral

Good morning! Kind of feels weird to be posting several cards a day, then miss a day or two! So, even though it's a bit late, gonna pop in today with a card! Here is a simple little thank you card I made with my Avery Elle stamps:

I thought I would play along with the ever fun and inspiring Cure for the Monday Blues:

I loved all the white space, the little pops of color, and all the black! I used Brushed clear stamps to create the "watercolor" background with some Memento Luxe Ink that had slid a bit far to the back of my crafting supplies. Figured I better use it, or just give it away! Then I layered on my sentiment and the flowers in black using Fabulous Florals. Added a strip of yellow cardstock along the side, and a touch of bling to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

MCS June Release - Day 2

Good morning again! Today we are celebrating Day 2 of the new release at My Craft Spot! There are prizes each day - and tons of beautiful sneaks by the design team - so make sure and stop by My Craft Spot and check it all out!

Today we got to play with the new set called Robots Stamp set - SOOOO cute and fun for the little boys, geeks, and nerds in your life! I happen to know one or two of them! Here is the card I made:

This was actually quite simple to put together! I used some pattern paper from an older October Afternoon pattern paper pack called Rocket Age, and that cute little robot from some of the coordinating embellishments that I had in my stash. I cut a folded banner with Straight Ribbon Banner Metal Dies and stamped my sentiment on there with MFT ink. Added the other words and gears on my pattern paper, and adhered everything down.

Here is the prize that Kimberly is giving away today over at My Craft Spot:

Thanks so much for stopping by again! Have a wonderful day - and you know where I will be tomorrow with more sneak peeks!

Clean and Simple with Donna Downey Stamps

Good morning! One of my recent orders and winnings from Unity Stamp Company included a couple of beautiful Donna Downey stamp sets - I decided to put them to goo use and make a card with them!

I also used the new Runway Inspired Challenge for inspiration:

And broke out my sewing machine again to add some machine stitching for Virginia's View Challenge #3 Stitching:

Also still loving the Hip on Handwriting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World - I'm so glad there are stamps like this that I can use for that look, since I'm not in love with my handwriting!!!

I used the Donna Peony Stamp set for the flowers, stamped the solid one with Memento Luxe ink, then stamped the outline with MFT Kraft ink. I know it doesn't match up - but I did that on purpose to help achieve a more "artsy" look. I added the sentiment from the "Inspire" Words set using black Versafine ink. Rounded the top corner, added some random machine stitching to the bottom, and finished off with a few enamel dots - one of my favorite embellishments!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great week so far!!!

Teen Boy Birthday Card - Unity Challenge

Good morning! I needed a birthday card for my nephew that is turning 14 (YIKES - where did the time go?!?!?) - so I thought I would take the opportunity to play along with the Unity {be inspired} Challenge as well. Here is my card:

Here are the colors - I only used the top 4, and then threw in a bit of black:

I used the June 2013 SMAK kit for the ink splats - aren't they fabulous? So perfect for a guy card! I stamped them in 3 colors of Memento Luxe pigment ink.

Over the top, I stamped my sentiment from the January 2014 KOTM, as well as those little star clusters.

Finished off by trimming and matting that panel in black, with a couple of rounded corners, then mounted it flat on a card base of Avery Elle Silver Fox cardstock - a really pretty soft gray that added the perfect touch of contrast. Then couldn't resist adding just a few sequins!

My husband approved it as a good guy card - and since those are usually some of the most difficult, I'm happy! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Be your own kind of beautiful...

Hello! Just popping in with a quick entry for the current Unity {be inspired} Challenge:

This was actually one of those accidental cards - I had picked up some Memento Luxe inks and wanted to give them a try - so I grabbed a flower stamp image from the Unity November 2013 KOTM and stamped it repeatedly in the different colors of ink. Then, I though it looked kind of fun, so I fussy cut them all out, and used my Wink of Stella on the center of them - which smudged the ink just a little, and added a fun sparkle effect. I stamped my sentiment from the current January Kit of the Month on vellum, layered everything together on my cardbase, and finished off with a bit of Baker's Twine, thread, and a wood veneer that I inked with the red ink so it would coordinate.

I used the color combo - although I notice my colors are a bit more on the bright side than the inspiration photo:

And...with a little bit of liberty, I also followed the sketch:

I am also linking this up with the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge - Over the Edge:

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful weekend!

Black, White, and Gold - Unity FWF

Good morning! Happy Friday - and Unity Friends with Flair time. I'm sharing a couple tags using the current January Kit of the Month - apparently I was on a gold, black, and white theme without knowing it! Here is the first one:

I used a tag I had cut a while back with my Silhouette Cameo, and stamped the butterflies on there with some new Memento Luxe ink I had picked up and was itching to try. I let that dry really well so it wouldn't smudge, then stamped the sentiment using Delicata Gold ink and hand trimmed it to a banner. I added some white stitching with a gel pen, some gold ribbon I picked up last fall at Michaels and hadn't used yet, and added some gold sequins. Finished off with just a touch of Smooch Glitz in gold on the centers of the butterflies.

The next one is definitely a more soft and rustic feel - I had a little something I wanted to mail to my sister, so I decided to decorate it up fun!

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, then heat embossed the stars with gold Zing embossing powder. I smeared some white pigment ink over it to give it a chalkboard look (*might* have overdone that a bit...oops!) - then added some Baker's twine before attaching it to my burlap bag.

I am also linking up this second tag to the Trendy Star Power Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful Friday!
