STAMPtember Collaboration - Mama Elephant

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today we are getting to see the next in the progression of the special SUPER SECRET collaboration stamp sets that will be happening throughout the month! Today we have...Mama Elephant!

These adorable little foxes are the CUTEST!!! I had fun creating a few fun little masked scenes with distress inks.

Here is a closer look at each of the little scenes I created:

I basically stamped each image on the white cardstock, then stamped the main images on masking paper, cut out just the bottom portion (no sense wasting effort, right?), and then used post it tape to mask off the top and blended a "ground" of bright distress ink colors under each image. Also added some white paint splatters for a snowy effect, and a few sparkly jewels in coordinating colors to finish it off!

Here is a closer look at this adorable stamp set:

Custom Thank You Cards

Good morning! Dropping by today to share some super special cards that I made recently! I had a request for some custom cards from a friend, and thanks to my sister-in-laws beautiful brush lettering (thank you so much Kristine!!!) and my Minc machine paired up with some other supplies, these cards are the result!

Thanks to the foiling from the Minc machine - these were super hard to photograph!  Other than the wording on the front, the request included blues or purples and snowflakes. Simon Says Stamp Frozen Fractals stamp set was the perfect choice for lots of beautiful snowflakes. Once my sentiment was foiled in either gold or silver, I stamped all the snowflakes, and embossed with clear powder.

I then used a couple different distress inks to blend over the snowflakes - the clear embossing resisted the distress ink making them pop out like that. I also splattered on some water droplets and a few splashes of white paint for more texture and interest.

Used a couple different die cuts, adding matching gold or silver paper to the scallop layer to draw the sparkly parts together on each card.

Finished with a bit of jute twine wrapped and tied around the fronts!

Love You More Each Day

Good morning! Dropping by this morning with a quick card using a new Simon Says Stamp sentiment set called Hey Love:

I felt like I fiddled on this card for quite a while, and never really loved it - which is why I didn't post it before now! That's why it's my older photo set-up now that I've changed that around a bit.

I seem to be using this color combo a lot this year on Valentine cards - pink and black - this time with a touch of gold as well.
