Embossing Paste and Gold Glitter - Unity Sentiment Kit

Hello! Did you see some of the new releases from Unity Stamp Company? One of my favorites is the new sentiment kit - I always say I love a good sentiment - and a kit just makes it that much better!

I also made a Quick Tip video for this one - sharing how I used a stencil, embossing paste, and gold glitter to create the focal point background on this card:

Other than that, this card is pretty simple - the image was just lightly colored up, then I added some jute twine and attached it with foam adhesive.

Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Lil' Inker's October Release - Day 3

Hello! Welcome back to the final evening of sneak peeks for the new release at Lil' Inker Designs! This is such a SUPER fun Christmas/winter theme release - so excited to finally be sharing all these projects with you!!!

I have a couple of fun cards to share with you tonight - starting with this silver and chalkboard little number!

I used this lovely new sentiment stamp set - LOVE all the beautiful fonts!!!

I did a little chalkboard effect with it - just looked to perfect not too! I die cut the center from the Frames & Flowers Die set out of pretty silver glitter cardstock, and attached those together. I die cut the Cover Up Die: Dotted Scallops from black cardstock, inked the edges in white, then mounted directly on my white cardbase. Added some black baker's twine, then attached my front panel with some foam adhesive. Simple and Elegant!

Next up - I played with the darling new Make a Santa Die and Stamp Set:

Here is a peek at that new set:

This is made to coordinate with the Triangle Treat Holder Die, but can be used separately as well - which is what I did on my card! I die cut the layers, and built him on a die cut tag from Anytime Tags Die Set 2. I created a pocked by sequins vellum on 3 sides to my pattern paper, adding some star sequins, and then stitching the top closed, then attached my tag, sentiment heat embossed on a little hand trimmed black banner, and a few enamel dots. Finished off with some white doodling, some Stickles on the white parts of the hat and the hearts of his boots, and a bit of Glossy Accents on the eyes.

And now the fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY! Laura is giving away 3 gift certificates for random comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!

Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:

Watercolor Feathers

Hello again! Stopping in with another card for the Unity Itty Bitty a Day Challenge going on the Unity Facebook page - and playing with more watercolors:

I was inspired by this beautiful image I found on Pinterest:

I also used (with a bit of liberty taken!) the Unity {be inspired} sketch, so I'm linking it up there as well:

I used some Unity feather stamps, from the itty bitty set called "Feather Flight" - I own them from one of the Kits of the Month, but they have since been made into an itty bitty stamp. I simply painted watercolors directly onto my stamp, then pressed them onto my watercolor paper. Once they dried, I added a bit of Glossy Accents, smeared it around with my finger to flatten it a little, then sprinkled on some gold glitter.

My sentiment is from the January 2014 Kit of the Month, embossed on vellum that I wrapped around the back and secured behind. Finished off with a wood veneer feather that I tied some gold thread onto, then mounted it onto a PTI cardstock card base.

I'm pretty sure this is one of my new favorite cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

You're Purrrfect!

Good morning! Dropping by with a card I made for a couple of challenges:

Then the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - what yummy colors, don't you think? Coral, gray, gold:

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog - Let's Have a Laugh - they are even featuring Paper Smooches Stamps! PERFECT!

And finally, this weeks Pumpkin Spice Challenge - Buttons, Bows, or Bling (I did Bows AND Bling)

I got the inspiration for the bottom portion of my card from my current favorite scarf in my collection - LOVE the sprinkle of gold bling on the bottom of the coral color! Here is a picture of it - you can truly find inspiration anywhere!

I started off by using my Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil and clear embossing paste on the bottom of my card base (which is Bazzil Cardshop cardstock) - then sprinkled with gold glitter. I let this dry really well before moving on!

Then I stamped the cute kittem from Party Posse, colored with Copics, added a touch of Wink of Stella on the dark areas, and Glossy Accents on the eyes, nose, and necklace. I fussy cut it out, then used Word Bubble Dies to cut my speech bubble, and heat embossed the sentiment from Chubby Chums with gold glitter Zing embossing powder.

I attached these items both with foam adhesive, then added a little bow with jute twine to finish it off.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a wonderful day!

Shore do Love You - SFYTT

Good afternoon! I got a stamp set quite some time ago from Reverse Confetti, and FINALLY had time to break them out and use them! So I thought I would enter the current Sketch For You To Try:

Here is the sketch:

I used one of the very first release stamp sets, Happy Harbor (I told you I had it for a while!) I love all things nautical, so I had to have this cute set when it first came out! I stamped the lighthouse, the compass (used as the light beams from the lighthouse), and the sentiment on vellum. I added a tiny heart with a Paper Smooches stamp set. I layered the vellum on kraft paper, then wrapped the edges with some washi tape to hold it together.

Pattern paper is American Crafts, and I made the star background with embossing paste and a Simon Says Stamp stencil. Also sprinkled a bit of glitter in soft blue and green to coordinate. Added some jute twine, baker's twine, and enamel dots to finish it off.

Sorry the stamping doesn't show up better in the pictures!

Have a great day!!!

Mint and Gold Stars - Wish Big!

Good afternoon! If you are looking for my Day 1 My Craft Spot January Release Post, scroll down, or click HERE.

I just wanted to drop by and post a card I made Sunday afternoon for the first My Favorite Things Sketch challenge of 2014, and also combined with the Moxie Fab World Trendy Star Power Challenge:

Here is this weeks sketch - LOVE how basic and adaptable it is:

I followed the sketch pretty exactly. I pulled out a MFT star stencil, and some American Crafts pattern paper and went to work. I used some soft mint pattern paper, and applied embossing paste with the stencil, then sprinkled on lots of gold American Crafts Glitter. It was so hard to get a good picture - but this is such a sparkly and glittery card in real life! The background mint paper is also an ombre pattern - another big trend!

Used a MFT sentiment stamp and heat embossed with Zing Glitter Gold embossing powder, then added a bit of MFT hemp twine to finish it off.

Have a great afternoon! See you tomorrow for more My Craft Spot sneak peeks!
