Copper and Rustic Thank You Set - Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit

Good morning! I'm here today to share my first cards with the BRAND NEW November 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Cozy Wishes! This month's kit brings out all the cozy winter cabin feels! The included stamp set by the same name is full of adorable images and sweet sentiments, there are some pre-printed sentiments, some gorgeous pattern paper, a lovely stencil, a fun 3-D embossing folder - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

I started off by creating a set of thank you notes featuring the adorable pattern paper in the kit - and those pre-printed sentiments that I upgraded with copper hot foil! They are printed with toner, so work with Deco Foil - and I used my trick with the Pinkfresh Solid Hot Foil plate that I shared in this video HERE to add the foil. Check it out if you want to see how I did it!

Foil is so  hard to photograph - but here is a bit of a better look at how shiny and pretty it is!

And a closer view of each card - I trimmed the pattern paper down to slightly smaller than my white cardbase, so it left a simple border around the edges.

I used the reverse sides of some of the papers to add a strip of contrast - tearing the edges for some texture.

Finally, I mounted the hot foiled sentiments over the top with foam adhesive - after trimming them into thin strips.

The papers are so lovely and rustic! I love how they worked for this!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:

Tropical Leaf Duo - Simon Says Stamp Make Magic Release

Good morning! I'm back today to share two more cards using the FABULOUS NEW Make Magic release from Simon Says Stamp - today I'm sharing two cards that I created from one panel of the beautiful new Suzy's watercolor prints: Tropical Foliage!

For both cards, I used the one panel, and did a random series of ink smooshing with lots of mini distress ink cubes. I let all the colors mix and blend to get this beautiful background, added some white paint splatters, then die cut a rectangle out of the center, making sure to center it and save the frame for the second card below.

For this card, I popped that panel up with foam adhesive on a white cardbase, and added a sentiment from the fabulous Just Because Word Mix 2 stamp and die combo. I adhered it with a bit of liquid glue behind the top of the banner, allowing the lower portion to curl up for a touch of extra dimension.

Finished off with a few coordinating Pinkfresh Studio jewels in opposite corners - love the added sparkle that gives!

Now, onto that second card with the frame we saved! I trimmed down the outer edges a bit so it would leave a border around the outer edge to show off my colored cardstock.

In the center, I die cut the fun new Flipped Like You die, and backed it with gold glitter cardstock. I added a sentiment over the top from CZ Design Reverse Sentiment Strips: Happy - I foiled it with gold foil since it is printed with toner ink and will foil with toner-reactive foil. Fun!

I popped that extra sentiment up with foam adhesive, and the frame with more foam adhesive. Fun dimension, isn't it? And that finishes off these two simple cards!

Foiled Acetate Shaker Cards - Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit

Good morning! I have two more cards to share today using with the November Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Big Thanks Autumn! This kit is full of beautiful autumn themes and perfect for saying thanks so many ways! The included stamp set by the same name has beautiful fall floral images and sentiments, there is some GORGEOUS pattern paper,  acetate toner sheets and foilpreprinted sentimentssequins - not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today I'm sharing two simple and shiny shaker cards - seriously, so easy it almost feels like cheating to take any credit for them!

I used two of the Cozy Vibes Acetate Toner Sheets in the kit - basically black toner ink printed on acetate that you can then add foil to. It's basically pretty magical!

This first one, I added the gold foil to - gold foil always still seems to be my favorite ever!

This second one uses the rose gold foil - it was even a dab harder to photograph than the gold one, but foiled cards are always difficult it seems!

I kept the designs very simple - creating a white frame and mounting on white cardbases, and filled with some of the Autumn Mix sequins the kit. So seriously fun though!

Unity and Deco Foil Instagram Hop - Foils and Distress Ink

Good morning! Today is a fun Instagram hop with Unity Stamp Company and Thermoweb - there are great prizes up for grabs as well! You can hop over to my Instagram account HERE for more info if you want. But I thought I would also post here, just to have details of what I used, and where to find it all!

Both of these designs feature the amazing new Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts - such a fun way to make foiling easy and approachable! I trimmed them down to leave a border on a white cardfront - they come perfectly A2 sized.

I also blended some distress ink on the panels using Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry for a bit of a pop of color over the gold foiling.

Sentiments were heat embossed in gold on black to coordinate - and die cut with circle or ovals dies.

I also tucked some gold thread under each sentiment and popped it up with foam adhesive for dimension.

Finally, I popped those panels on white cardbases with foam, and added a few sparkly gold jewels to finish off!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Limited Edition Card Kit

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today is the reveal of a special limited edition STAMPtember Card Kit! Here is a look at this super fun kit:

I have two cards to share with you using mostly this new kit - only a few small additions!

This first card may be my favorite! Haven't tried this technique before - but it was super fun, and I love the effect. I used the included Freestyle Flowers 6x6 stencil to blend clear embossing ink over watercolor cardstock, then heat embossed with the included clear embossing powder. Then I randomly watercolored over the image with the sheet of Daniel Smith watercolor samples, and left that to dry overnight before cleaning the stray watercolor off the embossing. Such a fun dimensional watercolor look!

I trimmed my panel down and mounted it with foam on a cardbase created with the white cardstock in the kit, then added some sentiments. The sentiment at the top is not from the kit - I used a CZ Design Sentiment Strip - Reverse Happy, and added gold foil to it - be still my heart! Now I want to foil all the things - haha! I did the same thing with the sentiment underneath, but that one is one of the ones included in the kit. Either way, the foil adheres to the black areas of the preprinted sentiments which is awesome!

I adhered both of those with foam adhesive again, then tucked a few Pretty Pink Posh gold jewels around for some finishing sparkle!

The next card is bright, bold, simple, and just plain happy!

As soon as I saw this pattern paper, I knew I wanted to use it on a card - and this stamp image was just perfect to complement it!

I stamped it with black versamark ink, and heat embossed with some of the clear powder in the kit. Love the simple gorgeous shine and gloss this adds to the image! I then trimmed it down, matted with some white cardstock from the kit, and added that to a cardbase created with some of the Sunshine cardstock in the kit.

Finally, added a sentiment from the kit, heat embossed in white on black cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive. Isn't it so sunny, bright, and happy?!?!?

Foiled Leaves 2 Ways

Good morning! Well...I delayed too long, and the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for October - Sketched Flowers appears to have officially sold out! Many of the kit elements are still available separately though. The large stamp set in the kit - Sketched Flowers, alcohol ink, Yupo paper and Alcohol Lift ink are all still available - the pre-printed Gina K cards and fun pack of fall foils I didn't see available separately.

If you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of the kits, then today's cards feature some of the gorgeous pre-printed toner cards and foils from Gina K included in the kit, as well as sentiments from the Sketched Flowers stamp set that I love!

These cards were the result of having messy hands from playing with alcohol inks, and not taking time to clean them off before picking up a preprinted card. Yep, you guessed it - ruined it with inky fingerprint smudges! Ack! So...I foiled the leaves (that managed to stay clean!), and fussy cut them out to use them in a different way! I mounted them with foam on a plain white cardbase and simply stamped the sentiment underneath.

Then, I ran the negatives through my machine using Toner Paper, and fussy cut those out to use on a card as well!

Sometimes mistakes lead to something entirely unexpected...I wouldn't have done this otherwise, and even though these are incredibly simple, they ended up being some of my favorite cards from the kit!

You can view the contents of the kit HERE (SOLD OUT though):

Foiling Two Ways - Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit

Hello! I'm here to share still a few more cards using the amazing and BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for October - Sketched Flowers! The variety in this kit is amazing! I sat down and ended up making TEN cards with this kit...I think that is record setting for me - I don't usually do that many! The large stamp set in the kit - Sketched Flowers - is absolutely stunning, there are 3 bottles of alcohol ink with Yupo paper and Alcohol Lift ink, then there are the pre-printed Gina K cards with a fun pack of fall foils - this kit is PACKED! You can check out the entire kit and it's contents HERE.

Today's cards feature some of the gorgeous pre-printed toner cards and foils from Gina K included in the kit.

I started off by adding foil to the cards, then...

since I couldn't stand to waste the negative pieces - I pulled out some toner sheets and ran them through my foil machine - this gave me the same image two different ways!

I think foiled cards are one of the hardest ones to photograph! Here is a closer look at the shine on both of these:

And then I did the same thing on another of the cards:

For all of these cards, I did some matting with colored cardstock to help the colors pop.

I also used some foam layers for dimension.

Here is a closer look at the shine from the foil on these two cards:
