Thankful for You - Unity Stamp of the Week

Good morning! Have you seen this week's Stamp of the Week over at Unity Stamp Company? I absolutely ADORE this one - such a beautiful image, don't you think? There are still a couple days left this week to sign up and receive this stamp set - and then a fun one every week after that!

I die cut in a circle shape, then colored it up with Copics in very soft and neutral colors to coordinate with some older pattern paper from my stash.

Added a doily, some twine, and a button to finish it off!

Lots of Christmas Cheer

Good morning! I hadn't gotten around to sharing this one - but this was part of the Christmas in July stamps that Unity Stamp Company released and I played with a couple weeks ago. While Christmas in August doesn't have the same ring to it, I'm still going to share it now anyway! :)

I made a Quick Tip video of the watercolors - a bit sped up, but if you want to see it, here you go:

I did change my mind on my pattern paper once I watercolored the image - although I actually picked my colors to match the original paper. However, when I had the image colored, it just seemed too busy - so I switched to this one, and I like it so much better!

Mounted the front panel with fun foam for subtle dimension to finish it off!

More Spotlight Vellum Cards - with Plaid!

Good morning! Dropping by with a couple more cards that use the same technique from the other day that I posted HERE with a Quick Tip video - these are actually the originals, that were supposed to be in the video. Due to some operator error (ahem...oops!) - I didn't push record apparently when I thought I did, so the video started when I thought I pushed stop...can we say blooper video! Haha! Anyway - so I redid them, but here are the ones I started with originally!

I still have this thing with Plaid - simply cannot get enough of it - and love that so many companies are coming out with paper pads that feature JUST plaids! I *may* be collecting them, and possibly in quantities of more than one! :)

This plaid paper is from an older Simple Stories paper pad.

This plaid from an older Basic Grey Christmas pad.

I can't decide which ones I like better - the bolder colors in the other post that are attached to the video? Or these softer plaids? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Lil' Inker July Release - Day 3

Hello! Today is the final day of the new release from Lil' Inker Designs - you should have arrived here from the Lil' Inker Designs Blog - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win one of the giveaways. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards - so much fun stuff!

First up today - I have a card featuring the new Alphabet Gems Dies that coordinate with the Alphabet Gems Stamps:

These are such fun letters! I stamped and heat embossed them on watercolor paper, watercolored with distress inks, then after they dried used the dies to cut each letter out. I created a watercolor background for them, also with distress inks, then mounted them with foam adhesive.

The sentiment is from Tribal Chic Stamps, and I added that lovely Quilted Stitched Spirals background to my soft gray card base. Finished off with some enamel dots!

And then a soft little baby card - this one combines a couple new products, with some older ones!

I started off by cutting an offset window using the Fringe Scalloped Circles, and the hello using Everyday Word Tags Dies. I love that the little loop on the top makes a perfect spot to tie on my twine bow!

I added a heat embossed sentiment from from Warm Welcome Stamps, some purple ombre pattern paper from Lil' Inker's Dip Dyed Ombre Paper Pad, and a kraft card base that I used Quilted Swirl Stitched Pattern Die on. Finished off with a few Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

And one final bonus card to share! I also love that the Everyday Word Tags Dies can be extra versatile - you can easily cut off the little loop to make them just simple word dies!

I made this card very simple - pretty pattern paper and a simple focal point so that the "Thanks" really stands out.

I used On The Diagonal Die to cut out a base for the word, then backed it with some torn vellum to help it pop from the card a bit more.

Your next stop along the blog hop is Jessica Frost Ballas - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!

And now the really fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY! Laura is giving away 3 gift certificates for random comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!

Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:
