Sailboat Smile - Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release

Hello! I'm stopping by today with another fun card using the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release! Like yesterday, this card features another embossing folder from the release, and it also has a nautical theme! This time I created a shaker card though!

I started off with the Sunshine Sailboat on white cardstock, and did some ink blending with Cadette and Surf inks, then added white splatters with Spellbinders White Opaque Watercolor splatter, and set it aside to dry. While it dried, I created the shaker element using the new A2 Arches die set. I filled it with 3mm clear sequins for lots of lovely sparkle! I added a few Trinity Bubble Blow Out embellishments in the top corner, and then added sentiments from the Smile stamp and die set to finish off! Here is a closer look at this finished card:

Faux Watercolor Mod Florals - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Today I have a fun faux watercolor technique to share - I created a Reel showing how these came together that is posted on my Instagram page today! I used a fun stamp and die combo from the latest Simon Says Stamp release.

I used watercolor paper, and picked 3 different images from the Mod Plants set. I used pairs of ink from the Rainbow Splash Collection - Ballet and Princess, Lake and Sea, and Grass and Emerald. I inked up each image with the lighter color, then covered my finger with a bit of plastic wrap (just to keep it cleaner!), and added some of the deeper color onto the image. I misted it lightly with water, then stamped on watercolor paper, and set them each aside to dry. I created coordinating cardbases with Rainbow Splash cardstocks, and rounded off the corners of both the cardbases and panels with my corner chomper. Stamped and die cut sentiments - trimming the smaller ones into a banner shape, and adhered those with foam adhesive. Finished off with a few Trinity Stamps iridescent bubble embellishments tucked around the sentiments! Here are more photos of these finished cards:

I have a couple cards to share today for the hop that pair up a couple of different sets - while unexpected, they go together so well!

I went with a super neutral and elegant color combo - using cream and white cardstock for some soft color contrast for the main part of the cards, then pops of deep red and brown for the berries. Paired up with some crisp black for the sentiments - I love how it came out together!

For both cards, I stamped and heat embossed one of the images from the new Glistening Snowflakes stamp set in white on cream cardstock. It just adds a very soft and pretty bit of texture to that background - so fun! I die cut the windows using the coordinating dies first actually, then lined up the stamp in the negative space of the die cut over the cream panel. That gave me perfect alignment for my card layouts.

I actually found it super fun and relaxing to die cut the branches and berries. I ended up chatting on the phone at the time, and just sat and die cut and layered them together. For this first card, once the card was fully assembled, I added some Glossy Accents just to the smaller berries. It added some fun variation in texture and a bit of shine that is such a cool effect!

On that first card I added a sentiment from the previously released Good Cheer stamp set on the bottom panel, before mounting it over the top with foam adhesive.

This second card was created very similarly - using a different stamp image and coordinating die for a different look.

This one has a sentiment from a previously released Reverse Sentiment Strip set - I love those for effortlessly adding sentiments to cards! I finished off both cards with some Clear Iridescent Drops from Pinkfresh Studio - adding some of the small ones directly onto the berries on this card.

If you are looking for a bit more inspiration with this fun release (and a completely different look!) - I shared these cards a couple days ago when the release went live. You can read all the details for these cards HERE if you want more info:

Birthday Treat Mugs - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Dropping by today with a couple cards I actually created a couple month's ago. (notice the date on the watermark on the photos? Um...yeah...) I created these way back in DIEcember with some of the new releases from Simon Says Stamp, and despite sharing a lot of those creations then, somehow these slipped through the cracks and hadn't been shared yet. So...it was definitely time to get them posted - because I sure love how they turned out! I went a bit overboard when I was die cutting for THIS CARD - and had to put them to use on another card (or two as it turns out!). I was also running short on birthday cards at the time, so I decided that was what they were going to become!

I created two different color combos, but laid them out exactly the same.

The adorable cups are die cut using Picture Book Mocha wafer dies - with some cute wiggly eyes attached!

The circles are die cut using Nested Circles Wafer Dies.

I adhered the circles directly to the card base, then popped the mugs up on foam adhesive.

I even used the same sentiments from Tiny Words Birthday stamp set on each card, lining them up in my MISTI for easy stamping on each of them.

Added some clear PPP droplets for added texture and sparkle.

Finished off by rounding off one of the corners, and adding some sparkly clear Nuvo drops on the whip cream on the cups.

PPP/SSS STAMPtember Collaboration!

Good evening! Dropping by tonight to share a couple cards made with the newest STAMPtember collaboration with Simon Says Stamp - this time with Pretty Pink Posh! It is a GORGEOUS set - called Damask Greetings - very unique, fun, and different - I had tons of fun with it!

Isn't it lovely? For my first card, I stamped several of the images toward the top in a fun color combo and in a loose sort of pattern across a panel of white cardstock die cut with a Stitched Rectangle.

I added the sentiment in black, then glued on some Clear Droplets to the centers of the images. Mounted that panel with foam adhesive on a Fog cardbase - the perfect pale gray to set off my panel and keep the soft color tones!

Next up, I used several of the smaller tile images to create a colorful background!

For this card, I lined up the 6 images in my MISTI so I could stamp it twice and get a nice deep impression. I then flipped my watercolor paper around to stamp it again - it worked perfectly!

I used several colors of distress ink to watercolor a loose circle on each tile in a random color combo, misted with water to let the colors run a bit extra, then added splatters with the leftover color - as well as some gold splatters. I heat embossed my sentiment for this one in white on a strip of black cardstock, added a row of machine stitching around the panel before mounting the sentiment strip with foam adhesive over the top. Finished off with a few of the new Gold Confetti Mix - another new LOVE!!!

Have you been having fun with STAMPtember? What have been your favorite sets so far! I would love to hear which ones you've fallen in love with or ordered!
