MCS Feb Release - Day 2

Hello again! Welcome back to Day 2 of sneak peeks for the February release at My Craft Spot! Today we got to play with a new stamp set called Scrapping Life - Everyday and a coordinating die set called Scrapping Life Cards Metal Dies. I have recently fallen in love with pocket style scrapbooking - so I was very excited to see these sets! I put them to good use on a page from nearly 2 years ago (YIKES - I'm behind!). These pics were from our family trip to Hawaii - and my sweet girls there:

See that polaroid style frame? Yep - it's part of this set! As well as those darling hearts, the tiny little camera, and the arrow. And isn't the stamp set super fun? LOVE the combination of fonts!

I added a touch of bling on the camera to mimic a flash, and as is always hard to see in the pictures, some Wink of Stella glitter on the hearts.

Here is the card placed on the layout page - still need to add some journaling, so ignore the fact that the page isn't completely finished! :-)

Now the fun stuff! This week is a party - and a party is so much more fun when you have gifts, right? So hop on over to My Craft Spot and let Kimberly know what you think of the today's sneak peeks for a chance to win this stamp set:

See you back here again tomorrow for more sneak peeks! Have a great day!!!

Scrapbook Layout for SPS

Good morning! I'm sharing something a little different then normal this morning over at Shop Pumpkin Spice - a scrapbook layout! I actually do a lot of scrapbooking, but for the most part, I do it for us and our family - not for blog sharing! However, I was so happy with this layout - and thought that it was particularly fun that I used Valentine's papers for a different purpose. I also still scrapbook in 8 1/2 by 11...I started that way, and just never got around to switching. I might someday - but for now I'm happy with this size! Here is my 2 page layout - it is when my oldest daughter got glasses for the first time:

Here is a close up of each page:

Other than the white and black cardstock, all the papers and embellies are from this years Valentine's paper pack from Echo Park - Love Story:

I hope this inspires you to create something non-holiday themed with something intended for a specific holiday! Such a fun way to stretch your supplies a little further! Have a great day!

October Afternoon Farmhouse Layouts

I have been trying to sneak a bit of scrapbooking in between a busy life, and lots of design team projects - and these are two of my favorite recent pages. I actually finished them a few weeks ago, but hadn't gotten around to sharing them here yet. Pretty much just used LOTS of October Afternoon goodies, a touch of lace, some crinkle ribbon, and a lace doily on the first one:

For the second one, I had been wanting to do a starburst on a layout for a while, and these papers from October Afternoon Farmhouse collection were PERFECT for it!

Short and sweet today! Sorry about that! But I promise there is lots coming soon! I have something made for Friends with Flair tomorrow, then some Peachy Keen sneak peeks are coming soon too! You are going to LOVE the newest release! Then next week Peachy Keen is teaming up with Core'dinations for a blog hop, and it is my day to post on the Peachy Keen blog next Friday. The following week, I'm the Growing in Unity gal for the week, as well as another post for My Craft Spot, and a new challenge at Peachy Keen.

Whew...all that, and trying to get our house cleaned, spruced up, and ready to sell...and then there is moving...now I know why I'm tired! Anyway - I will see you soon with lots more! Have a great day!

Some Scrapbook Layouts for NSD and Basic Grey

Hi there! I'm here to post a few scrapbook layouts for the National Scrapbook Day Challenges over at Basic Grey - fortunately they were still open for the week, since I was finishing my last day in Hawaii, then traveling home on NSD - so I missed out on a lot of the fun. Not that I would give up our incredible vacation for anything! Haha!

Anyway, this first one is for the Mixed Title Font Challenge. Pretty self explanatory!

The next one is for the Shape Challenge - to use a shape other than a rectangle or square:

The I have one for two of the challenges - The Hero Arts + Basic Grey Challenge, and the Basic Grey + Coordinations Challenge.

Next up is for the Layers Challenge - a layout with Multiple layers:

And finally, the Vintage Basic Grey Challenge - I used papers from what I think was my first ever stack of Basic Grey Paper - Urban Prairie:

Well - we'll see if I get any more of the challenges done - but at least for now I have these posted before the deadline! Have a beautiful evening!!!

Some scrapbook layouts...

If you are looking for my 500 follower giveaway, click HERE, or scroll down to the last post.

So funny, as I posted yesterday another card that I had submitted for publication that didn't get picked...well...yesterday I got my first acceptance email from Paper Crafts Magazine!!! It was an exciting day for me! The really funny thing, is that I had made the card I submitted, then actually received the paper in the mail that I had wanted to use on it, so I remade it with that. I ended up sending the first one with my husband this week while he was out of town...and that was the very card he opened yesterday morning! Kind of a funny coincidence! :0)

Anyway, I usually don't share layouts...but I finally found a better way to photograph them, so I am a little more happy with them. So I thought I would share a few. They are very simple...but they are my family so they make me happy!

This first one I cut the flower out with my Cricut using the Botanicals cartridge, and added a sentiment from Unity Stamp Co.

For the next one, I stamped Peachy Keen faces on a bunch of the clouds, then used a Unity stamp colored with some Copic markers.

The next one is more Unity stamps...from the set I'm giving away for my 500 follower giveaway (hint hint...)

This one...more Unity Stamps...

This one has Unity Stamps, and some October Afternoon Sprinklers.

Used an EK Success notebook edge punch here, and another Unity Stamp.

And a couple of Random Unity Stamps that I have won along the way, stamped in some different colors! Added some PTI buttons and twine.

This one I couldn't get the photograph to be straight...but the layout is! I promise! Lots of October Afternoon...some PTI buttons and twine, and some Tim Holtz trim.

Another one with LOTS of October Afternoon goodies, and some PTI buttons.

And...more October Afternoon! Used some Holiday Style Sprinklers, lots of the Holiday Style Flower Sack, and miscellaneous buttons, stickers, and trim.

Thanks for letting me share these with you! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I get my hubby back today - and am SOOO excited to spend time with him!

I love you because...

I have a scrapbook layout to share really quickly tonight - can't believe how little I have been posting lately! I have some more cards and stuff done, just haven't gotten around to posting them with the craziness of life! Anyway, I didn't want to miss the deadline for the Basic Grey Weekly Challenge to finish the prompt, "I love you..." Here is my page (and once again I apologize! One of these days I will learn to take better pictures of layouts!):

I used the Picadilly Collection for this layout. Here is a close up of the two pages:

And a close up of the words. The large letters are from October Afternoon, the little ones are from Cosmo Cricket, and the stamp is an Ippity stamp from Unity Stamp Co. I also added some flourishes using a die from My Favorite Things, and a bit of inking and machine stitching.

Thanks again for visiting! I will hopefully be back tomorrow to post some of the stuff I have been needing to share!

A Scrapbook sketch challenge!

Still time to enter my Stop and Scrap giveaway - just click HERE or scroll down to read about it!

I know I don't post very many layouts - but I loved this sketch challenge over on the Basic Grey Blog. Here is my take:

And here is the sketch:

I still scrapbook in 8.5 x 11, so I had to modify the layout to make it fit that size. The pictures are of my two daughters "sampling" the peaches last year when I was canning. I just LOVE these pictures of them! So funky and fun! Used Basic Grey's Out of Print collection which are so bright and fun and perfect for this kind of pictures!

Thanks for the visit today! Sorry for the poor pictures - I still haven't found a good way to photograph layouts. They are just tough for some reason! I'll keep practicing though!

Another Scrapbook Layout for Basic Grey Blog challenge

Hello! Here is another scrapbook layout for the Basic Grey Blog - this time the challenge is to use Pattern Paper. I used the Out of Print collection - so pretty! Did a little matting in black, added a title cut with my Cricut and the Theresa Collins Sophisticated cartridge, and a little machine stitching around the edges. I'm still struggling with the best way to photograph layouts - cards I can do, but scrapbook pages are more of a challenge for me! So I took 2 pictures, so hopefully you can see them well enough!

A Basic Grey Scrapbook Layout!

I know I don't post scrapbook layouts all that often, but I really wanted to join in on the Basic Grey weekly challenge this week - to use 3 photos, 3 pattern papers, and 3 brads. I used some of the Basic Grey Paper that I won a while back (LOVE by the way!) The title was cut with my Cricut using Jubilee cartrdige. The white lacey border is a Martha Stewart punch. I added a little tag with the story, and some crinkle ribbon in the top left corner. I LOVE these special memories!!!

My Pink Stamper National Scrapbook Day Challenges #2, #7, #8, and #9

If you are looking for the Thanks Mom Blog Hop, just click on the name to go check it out. You still have through today to enter for a chance to win my little giveaway of some of my favorite things!

This past Saturday was National Scrapbook Day, but since I was busy for the majority of the day, and then it was Mother's Day, I wasn't able to participate in all of the things I wanted to, so I am trying to play catch up today. Since I have been neglecting my scrapbooking lately, I tried to take the opportunity to use the challenges to challenge me to get back to some scrapbooking - which is what I started with to begin with!

I am also linking this up with the Patches of Pink Link-up Party!

This is a long post - I apologize! This first 2 pages is for My Pink Stamper's #2 Challenge: Make a card of layout with Kraft Cardstock. I made a 2 page layout. The first page used Elegant Edges - my newest and long awaited cartridge! I can tell I'm going to love this one! Also used some chipboard stickers I had in my stash, and lots of doodling. The second page just used a bunch of Echo Park stickers, a Martha Stewart edge punch, some letter stamps from Unity Stamp Co. and a couple of Peachy Faces.

The next challenge was My Pink Stampers Challenge #7: Make a Scrapbook page. I did a page of my husband and I taking off to celebrate our 10th Anniversary! Basic Grey Papers and coordinating stickers.

Next was My Pink Stamper's Challenge #8: Make a Summer Themed Layout. This is also a two page layout of my two daughters playing with the puppy we had for a few weeks! I used Echo Park Paper, and the coordinating stickers for this one. I LOVE how summery this looks!

And...the last one I got done was My Pink Stamper's Challenge #9: Use glitz, glam, and glitter. This is a simple one of my two girls playing in the yard, and I used a blinged out title. I am so lucky and blessed to have my daughters be such good friends!

All righty...that's all for now! I'll see if I have time to get a few more done - but wanted to get these submitted before it was too late! All of these were supposed to be done in under an hour, and I'm happy to say that I managed to EASILY achieve that! I kept them simple, and had most of them done in under 1/2 hour!

Sharing a favorite scrapbook page...or two!

I usually only post cards on here, but I really loved how these couple pages came out, so I thought I would go ahead and share them here too.

The first one is also for the Cricut Circle weekly challenge. The challenge is B.A.B.Y. - which each stand for something. B=brads, A=aqua, B=butterfly, Y=you as a subject. So...this also includes my kids, but it was as close and I was going to get as a page about me! The brads are hard to see, but are little black square ones on the corners of the photo. The aqua is pretty obvious, I did lots of butterflies (cut from Straight from the Nest), and the pic is me and my two daughters. The label is from Lacey Labels. Added some doodling with my white gel pen, and inked all the butterflies and the label.

This second pictures is just one that made me happy! It is a pic of my husband and daughters - and I love the picture, and really love how the page turned out as well. The label is also from Lacey Labels. I just added some Prima flowers instead of the ones that came with it, and added a computer generated sentiment.
