Winter Snowman Wishes - Simon Says Stamp DieCember Release Party

Good morning! Today is part of an epic party to celebrate the beginning of DieCember at Simon Says Stamp! Unlike a traditional release hop, this is just a party with tons of friends joining in and sharing inspiration. You can find everyone that is participating linked on the Simon Says Stamp Blog if you want to check it all out.

There is also a fun gift for you - this cute embossing folder with coordinating dies, available FREE with a purchase of $100 or more in the DieCember release product category HERE. Offer is valid through midnight eastern time tonight, or while supplies last!

I have this little duo of cards to share, using a sweet little new stamp set that is part of the release!

I mostly played with the new Cozy Together stamp set - while I know it would be adorable colored, I love taking a detailed image and just using the outline. This one was perfect for it! I created monochromatic cards in a couple of unexpected colors for winter cards - and I love them! For the card background, I used the previously released Stylized Mandala stencil, and soft yellow and pink inks. After stenciling, I brushed a bit of extra ink around the outer edges to soften the stark lines, and keep it from looking so white. I then die cut and inked up the Large Standard Tag wafer die in the same ink tones, but more saturated. I used that to stamp my images and sentiments. I die cut and tucked under the edge a scallop border using Tag Adornments wafer die and white cardstock. Added a bow tied with Lawn Fawn White Hemp Twine, and then finished off with some Gems in Opal, that were the perfectly complement to the snowy effect! Plaid and Sparkly Snowflake cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning everyone! Stopping by today a couple of wintery cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I broke out the glitter for these, and despite the fact I created them over a week ago, I'm pretty sure I still have glitter everywhere in my craft room! But so worth it - I love how these cards came out!

I started by die cutting the lovely Dancing Snowflakes wafer die from white cardstock, covering it with a glue pen, then sprinkling on Unicorn Confetti glitter. I let them dry, then shook off most of the excess, although it continued to sprinkle itself about the house - haha! I trimmed down some pertty pattern paper from Yuletide Plaid 6x6 paper pad to slightly smaller than my card bases, adhered that down, then added the snowflakes with tiny dots of liquid adhesive. I added the sentiments from Sentiment Strips Love Joy Peace, popped up on a thin foam adhesive strip, then finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in Opal sprinkled about. Here is a closer look at these finished cards:

Joy to the World Layered Circles - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today with a fun layered card using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I mixed together a rather newly released die, with some older items, and pulled it all together with some lovely pattern paper!

I started off with the new Forest Ring die cut from ivory glitter cardstock, and then built everything around it. Pattern paper is from Echo Park Christmas Joy 6x6 paper pad, and I used Nested Circles to cut the red circle. The sentiment is built from Large Joy wafer die, cut from gold cardstock, and backed with vellum - then paired with some Christmas Sentiment Strips. I used some torn edge vellum and white cardstock to add some interest over the green pattern paper for the background, as well as a bow with some gorgeous Vivant rose gold thread that I fell in love with recently as well. Finished off with a few Dazzling Gold Gems. Here is a closer look at the finished card:

Leafy Stencil Two Ways - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today with a couple cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I'm mainly featuring a stencil set from a recent release that was too pretty for me to resist! Once my order with it arrived, I couldn't wait to ink it up for my cards! I used it two different ways to create cards with entirely different looks!

The stencil set is called Stems and Leaves, and since it was a pretty delicate stencil, I used a touch of Pixie Spray on the back of it to hold it in place. First I inked it up in an ombre fashion with Rhubarb, Apple, and Cranberry inks, then misted over it with Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz for a bit of sparkle - hard to see in these photos, but it is glamorous! For the other card, I skipped the inking, and just spritzed it with the same, which gave a more subtle effect. That one seemed perfect for a sympathy card, so I added a sentiment with Vintage Garden, then added a thin white mat, and mounting on some Lawn Fawn cardstock. The second card, I trimmed down slightly, mounted on a white cardbase with a rounded corner, then added a die cut hello using the Simple Hello die and So Very Black cardstock, with a secondary sentiment from Reverse Bold Hello Sentiment strips. Finished off with a few Gold Gems for sparkle! Here are more photos of these cards:

Creativity Unboxed Challenge - Pinkfresh Studio

Hello! Pinkfresh Studio has a special bonus challenge going right now, with a chance to win a $25 gift card. The challenge is decorate up one of your blending brush boxes - so here is my take on it:

I used the 1" blending brush box - I LOVE these brushes so much! I used the new Fancy Edgers dies to cut a border on some white cardstock, matching it up as I went along, to create a longer edge. I then folded that around my box, wrapping it to the back. Next, I hot foiled the Magical Holiday press plate twice in Satin Gold foil, also foiling the reverse image with the Solid Hot Foil plate. I stenciled in the image with Fresh Pear, Olive, Candy Apple, Spruce Tips, and Evergreen. I tucked those on the front of the box, nestling the reverse foil behind so it just peeked out adding a shadow layer. I wrapped some gorgeous new gold twine that I just recently got my hands on (LOVE!) around the center, and tied in a bow. Finally, I added a foiled sentiment from the same set, stacked over some die cut stars from Shaker Stars, and a few Gold Glitter Drops sprinkled around for a touch of sparkle! Here are more photos of this finished project:

Wishing you Hygge - Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share another card using the newest December 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Warmest Wishes! This month's kit is so cozy! I have a thing for Scandinavian design - this set totally nails it! The included stamp set by the same name features some festive images and sentiments (there is also a coordinating die for this set available separately HERE). There is a fun embossing folder, cute ink cubes, color blend cardstock panels, glitter embossing powder...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more!

This card was so fun to create! I actually tried to use one of the Snowflake Adhesive transfers in the kit, and didn't read the directions well enough (whoops!) - but, even if I had done that correctly, I would still able to use the black printed piece for this card! I layered it over a piece of the Color Blend cardstock in the kit, and adhered it together in the space I was planning to add my heart - that way you can't see the adhesive! I stamped my sentiment on the heart, die cut from the outline in Deco Heart wafer dies, and blended together Surf and Fairway ink on the large sentiment to mimic the colors on the background - such a pretty effect! I popped that up with foam on my background, then added some Dazzling Gems in Opal - my new favorite! So pretty! Here is a closer look at this card:
