Good morning! I believe I have mentioned once or twice how much I'm loving these adorable Cuddly Critters from the new Simon Says Stamp My Favorite release last week - here is that little bear on a birthday card that I made by combining it with a sentiment from the previously released Big Birthday Wishes:

I really had fun coloring this one - coloring in a critter to look black has always been something that deeply intimidated me - but I'm so pleased with how it came out! I actually didn't use black, just some deep grays. Added some foam between the layers for dimension, then finished off with a strip of torn vellum tucked under there. Also...that plaid paper from Lawn Fawn is just SOOOO yummy! I can't get enough of it!

Birthday Penguin

Good morning! Popping by with another birthday card this morning - not quite a "woodland" animal, but still a cute critter, right? This is using a past Stamp of the Week from Unity Stamps.

I did some watercoloring on him, and really love how it came out. I added was trying to add a very soft wash of blue to the background, and hadn't cleaned my brush perfectly, so a bit of yellow came out on the paper as I did it. At first I was frustrated, feeling like I had messed up, but as the colors blended, I found I really liked it! I also thought I had too much water on there, but once it dried, I really loved the super soft edges and background! Colored the balloon, then added just a *touch* of pink to the cheeks and tummy, and finished with a bit of Stickles on the dots of the balloon.

Bold Birthday Wishes - New SSS Die

Good morning! I have another card to share using a super fun new die from the My Favorite release from Simon Says Stamp!!! This uses the new Birthday Wishes Frame Die - I thought it would be fun to use it for a bold dramatic card - and I love how it does a fabulous job of standing all alone on a card front! And a shaker card? Just more fun, right?

I filled it with a mix of star sequins and sparkly silver beads - I really love mixing elements in a shaker card!

And those colors - the deep blue and the stark black, I just think they are striking!
