LID Christmas Release - Day 2

Hello! Welcome back to Day 2 of the fun new release at Lil' Inker Designs - a super fun mix of stamps and dies in this release! I'm back with more fun inspiration with some of the new dies this time! Today's cards are all rustic and ready for a cozy cabin style Christmas! This first one uses the fabulous new Christmas Words Tree Die! I die cut it twice from white cardstock and glued the layers together to make it a bit thicker. I die cut again with gold cardstock and trimmed just the star off to adhere at the top. That lovely background pattern paper was die cut using Stitched Mats: Rectangles. Finishing touch was some nice rustic jute twine wrapped around several times and tied in a loose bow.

Next up - another rustic feeling card, but a bit more CAS, using the fun Noel Word Die!

For this one, I also cut the die with two layers of white cardstock to stack together, then again from pattern paper to layer over the top of that. I used Cover Up Die: Stitched Woodgrain for the background, and used a scrap of red pattern paper to run through again, trimming out just the heart part of the Woodgrain die. I adhered the Noel Word Die so that the "o" was centered over the heart. Finally, I covered all of those pieces with a good coat of Nuvo Crystal Glaze for lots of shine and extra dimension!

LID Christmas Release - Day 1

Hello! Today is the beginning of a fun new release at Lil' Inker Designs - a super fun mix of stamps and dies in this release! So excited to start sharing them with you! You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. This release is totally fabulous as always! I love the mix of fun and cute - and then there is this JAW dropping and gorgeous Vintage Christmas Wreath stamp set that I used on this card!

It is just beautiful on it's own - but for this card, I colored it in with a bit of distress inks used as watercolors, then layered it up with some gorgeous pattern paper finished off with some jute twine to add some lovely finishing texture - perfect for the rustic feel of this! I love how the Coordinating Dies make it super easy to get such a lovely border around the whole thing without fussy cutting!

And then the next card using some more florals, but a more modern and simple design - I told you there was lots of variety in this release!

For this one, I started by cutting out the new Cover Up Die - Geometric Snow from white cardstock, then layering over a soft blue cardbase using tiny bits of foam adhesive to adhere it for lots of dimension. I then added some florals from the new Festive Florals stamp set, colored with Copics and cut out with their Coordinating Dies.

I added a sentiment - also from Festive Florals stamp set, white heat embossed on a tiny panel of black cardstock cut with Rounded Rectangles dies. I colored in the center of the letters a bit with a red colored pencil, then used the Press & Seal technique of layering everything how I wanted it, picking it up with the Press & Seal, adding adhesive to the back, and then adhering it back on the card. As a finishing touch, I added some sparkly Nuvo Drops to the berries for shine!

Courageous and Kind - SSS November Card Kit

Good morning! I'm stopping in again this morning to share another card with the BRAND NEW Kind Flowers November Card Kit for Simon Says Stamp that just released! Sometimes I feel like I say it every month, but truly, this month's kit may be my favorite EVER! The stamp set - Kind Flowers - is HUGE and full of the most beautiful kindness sentiments you can imagine! And the gorgeous embossed papers - oh my goodness, they are amazing! I used one of those on my card this morning:

The texture of that embossed bronze paper is so fabulous! And I'm still loving the stickers from the kit as well. I used the same trick as last nights card - I peeled it off the backing, then applied powder with my Powder Tool until it wasn't sticky anymore. That way I could place it where I wanted, and add foam adhesive - like I did on this card!

I stamped three sentiments from the Kind Flowers stamp set on thin strips of cream cardstock, and mounted those with foam adhesive as well. Finished off by matting the paper with a thin strip of Cream and Green Leaf, then mounting on a cardbase of Dark Chocolate.

Kindness Begins with Love - NEW SSS November Card Kit

Hello there! I'm excited to share the BRAND NEW Kind Flowers November Card Kit for Simon Says Stamp that just released! Sometimes I feel like I say it every month, but truly, this month's kit may be my favorite EVER! The stamp set - Kind Flowers - is HUGE and full of the most beautiful kindness sentiments you can imagine! Truly a must have! I used it along with lots of the pattern paper and stickers included in the kit for my card tonight:

I die cut some of the pattern paper using my Wonky Rectangles die, then die cut a white Wonky Heart to stamp my sentiment on. I added a little more pattern paper using Basic Banner die to get the banner shape - I trimmed the banner a little on each side to make it thinner though. Then those STICKERS! One trick I like to do with stickers to use them on cards - I peeled it off the backing, then applied powder with my Powder Tool until it wasn't sticky anymore. That way I can place it where I want, and add foam adhesive if I wish as well - like I did on this card! Finished off with a bit of jute twine, then mounted the entire front panel on a white card base with fun foam!

SSS Making Spirits Bright Blog Hop - Christmas Filled with JOY!

Good morning! Super excited to be hopping today with a FABULOUS line-up of crafters celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Making Spirits Bright release. There is tons of fun and inspiration, and PRIZES too! Here is the card I made to share for the hop:

I used two colors of ink to ink up the trees from the new Merry and Bright stamp set in an ombre design - such a fun way to add depth and dimension to a solid image! It also worked out to be a super fun background. I added some of of the hearts from the same set stamped in red. Next, I heat embossed a sentiment from the gorgeous new Stained Glass Greetings in gold on a strip of white cardstock, then matted it with black cardstock with an extra sentiment from the set added underneath, heat embossed in white. I trimmed it off at an angle with my paper trimmer, then matted the card panel with red cardstock on a green cardbase, then mounted the sentiment with foam adhesive.

More SSS Holiday Release - Merry and Bright

Good morning! Stopping by with another card using some of the new Simon Says Stamp Making Spirits Bright release! So much fun playing with all the bright and festive new goodies!

For this one I used the beautiful and intricate Holly Square Frame and die cut if from gold foiled cardstock. I then used the center of the die cut frame to mask out a place for my sentiment, and added some gold splatters using my Zig Starry Colors Palette. I heat embossed the sentiment from the new Merry and Bright stamp set - then carefully glued down my frame. Finished off with a few white Nuvo drops, and a bit of jute twine. I love the richness of the gold with the red - and the touch of white to brighten it up, and the rustic-ness of the twine as a finish!
