Pinkfresh Studio Happy Heart/Life Right Now Collections Release Blog Hop

Good morning! Today is an amazing blog hop to celebrate the Pinkfresh Studio's Happy Heart and Life Right Now Collections Release! These collections are so bright and fun for spring - and while they are perfect for scrapbooking and memory keeping, they are also super fun for creating cards! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way - TONS of inspiration and prizes up for grabs! YAY!

I've created a couple cards using the Happy Heart Collection to share for today's hop - tomorrow we have an Instagram hop, and I'll be sharing a couple more cards, but with the Life Right Now collection!

For the first card, I used a mix of the 12x12 pattern paper pad, and the 6x6 paper pad. I trimmed out that butterfly panel from one of the larger sheets, then created a mat around it with the rainbow stripe paper from the smaller paper pad.

I layered those up with foam adhesive between the layers, and then used more foam adhesive to adhere that to a white cardbase, and then popped up one of the Cardstock stickers with foam over the center. No such thing as too much foam adhesive, right?

Finally, I embellished with a fun mix of Ballet Slipper, Sunshine, and Glacier jewels in different sizes, and staggered on the corners for a fun embellishment.

Second card, I decided to create a mini slimline, with a coordinating Mini Slimline envelope!

For this one, I die cut the smaller Blanket Stitch Slimline and Mini Slimline die from white cardstock, and mounted it on a soft pink cardbase. I added some florals from the Floral Ephemera pack - LOVE these! I did some of them with foam adhesive, and some with liquid glue for dimension. I also added a sentiment from the Title Ephemera pack, also popped up with foam adhesive.

I finished off with a few more of those Ballet Slipper jewels, and then created the matching envelope using Mini Slimline Envelope die and some pattern paper from the 12x12 Paper pack.

I absolutely love the bright, fresh colors, and gorgeous florals in this collection!

Praying for You Spring Flowers - Simon Says Stamp

Hello my friends - I'm back with another card heavily featuring blue and yellow - the colors of the Ukrainian flag. My mind has been so focused there - and these lovely flowers are some that our friend Yana had recently used on some cards she shared recently - before everything changed last week. Making cards is something I've often referred to as my therapy - and this is especially true right now, as I find my emotions straying onto my cardmaking more often than not. You can read more, and see my first cards HERE if you want more details.

This card is a mini slimline design, and a rare, truly one layer card for me.

I used the beautiful new Spring Stems stamp set from Simon Says Stamp's recent Good Luck Charm release - one I hadn't had a chance to ink up yet. I stamped the image and sentiment in Copic friendly black ink directly on my white 3 1/4" by 6 1/4" mini slimline cardbase, leaving the florals slightly offset along the bottom.

Next, I colored the image up with simple Copic marker colors. Sometimes it is super fun to color an image with Copics. I am a bit impatient lately, and don't spend much time doing that. But I found I was able to use this time to pray for Yana, the Ukraine, and the Russian people that are caught in the middle of it all with no wish to be.

Once I had the image colored, I also added some detail accents with a white gel pen.

Something about the florals in this set - daffodil and crocus - are such symbols of spring, and therefore hope, to me. So they seemed especially fitting. While it is heavy, and horrible, and hard, there is always hope for tomorrow - for me, found in the Lord, and brought closer the more time I spend in prayer.

Simon Says Stamp/Pinkfresh Studio STAMPtember 2021 Collaboration

Hello! It's time for the first of the special collaboration stamps for this year's STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp - and it's a brand I am particularly fond of (biased a bit much I suppose?) - Pinkfresh Studio! This years exclusive collaboration set - You Are Next Level Amazing - is a beautiful floral set (with Pinkfresh, what else did you expect?) with some (as usual) beautiful and heartfelt sentiments!

While this image would be beautiful colored in, I decided to go for a soft and simple look, with some double layer embossing - one of my favorite techniques! I first die cut a small slimline panel using Essentials: Mini Slimline Essentials, then stamped the flower image in clear embossing ink. Before I added embossing powder, I stamped the sentiment using Detail Black ink, then sprinkled the clear embossing powder over the entire thing. The powder sticks to both inks, and creates one smooth embossed image.

Next, I blended some soft ink colors over the top - Lemon Whip, Peach Fuzz, and Coral Reef. Both stamped images resist the ink, so the florals magically appear as you blend ink over them! So fun and pretty!

I added a bit of white cardstock to mat the die cut image, then mounted with foam adhesive on an Ivory card base. Finished off with a some coordinating jewels in the flower centers, and tucked in the two corners.

Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release

Good morning! Today is an amazing blog hop to celebrate Pinkfresh Studio's May 2021 Essentials Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way - TONS of inspiration and prizes up for grabs! YAY!

As always, there is also a shipping promo - FREE US Shipping with $50 purchase, or discounted shipping for our international friends. Details and coupon codes are on this graphic:

This release is all about the Essentials dies - and the super exciting new jewel refill pouches! So I was also able to mix and match some other recent and older releases on my cards, which was even more fun!

For this first card, I pulled out the previously released Miss Your Smile stamp and stencil combo. I stenciled it in soft pinks and greens, then heat embossed the image in white over the top. Love the soft look this gives!

I tucked it behind a panel of white cardstock that I die cut a window in using the new Blanket Stitched Ovals dies - love how it adds the stitching on the negative piece like this, so you can create a pretty window frame!

I added a heat embossed sentiment on some coordinating pink cardstock, then die cut it with Fancy Label Frames, and popped it up with foam adhesive. I also stamped some additional sentiments in Detail black ink on the front of the card.

I added some strips of pattern paper at the top and bottom - and that cute scallop edge? That is actually from the new Stitched Scallop Squares, tucked underneath. Fun, right? All mounted on a pink cardbase. A few sparkly white jewels finish off this card - and then of course, I had to create a coordinating envelope with the new Slimline Envelope die! These are so incredible and fun!

Now...I have been loving Slimline cards more and more lately - but I'm pretty sure there is NOTHING cuter than a MINI slimline! Eek...I could make those all day I tell ya!

I actually started off here by creating that fun lemon envelope using the new Mini Slimline envelope - then I had to make a card to match it, of course! I used the new Mini Slimline Essentials dies to die cut the white panel, then used the same set of Blanket Stitched Ovals as the last card (just the smaller oval) to create a window in the card front, and tucked a bit of the extra lemon pattern paper behind the window.

I added the large sentiment using the recently released Lots of Love die, using gold mirror cardstock for the shadow layer, and white for the letters. It is popped up with foam adhesive on my cardfront.

I added all the fun greenery using the Garden Wreath die set from the last release - and just layering and clustering different pieces together. LOVE the cute little flowers - so dainty and fun!

Finished off with a few sparkly jewels - and pretty much want to hold onto this card forever now! :)

Next up - these dies are PERFECT for mixing with some of Pinkfresh's beautiful washi and die combos!

For this card, I die cut a window from white cardstock using the new Blanket Stitched Circles - again, using the negative cut that created the beautiful window. I mounted it over some off-white cardstock to create a subtle difference in color.

I added some of the Joyful Bouquet washi, that was placed on vellum, then die cut with the coordinating dies. I added a hot foiled sentiment from Perfect Sentiments - and used a bit of liquid adhesive behind that to adhere the bouquet to my cardbase.

Of course - a few sparkly jewels finish this card off!

And finally - I have this card to share that I created last week for Facebook Live as a sneak peek of this release! You can watch the video HERE if you want to watch it come together:

The main star of the show on this card (haha - see what I did there?) is the fun new Shaker Stars dies! I used both the positive image (the white stars) as well as the negative spaces to create a couple small shaker elements on my cardfront.

The cute Leafy Circle die cut from gold cardstock was such a perfect fit around that large star, and perfectly framed my sentiment from Be Strong stamp set.

Background was created with Slim Layered Starburst stencil, and a splatter of gold to add some sparkle. I filled the shaker with some of the clear crystals, and some gold seed beads from my stash. And of course, finished off with a few sparkly jewels. I also tucked a couple gold leaves under the small stars - die cut from Garden Wreath dies.
