Christmas is Here Gift Card Holders - Pinkfresh Studio

Good morning! Last weekend I was the guest on Craft Hour with Jeff Lindberg for Pinkfresh Studios - and we created some fun gift card holders. You can check out the replay HERE if you want to see how they came together - but I thought I would share them here as well!

We both created something a bit different - we didn't realize until about an hour before we started that Jeff didn't have some of the sets we planned on using - but it worked out even better, since we came up with an alternative plan, and he created his own unique version!

I love how easy the fun Fillable Gift Card holder is to use - and so fun and easy to decorate as well! I was inspired by a recent video from Carissa Wiley, and decorated the front of it with a mix of Stitches die and Nested Chevron Die - and did a bit of ink blending on the pieces with Candy Apple and Emerald City inks.

The sentiments on the front and inside were stamped with Detail Black ink using the Our Home to Yours stamp set. I tucked a little Starbucks card into the inside of the holder so you could see how perfectly sized this is! And that gift card is pretty cute - its an older one I borrowed from my daughter - haha!

Hello Lovebirds - Simon Says Stamp Love You Release

Hello! It may be DIEcember...and there may have just been a huge release from Simon Says Stamp - but SURPRISE! There is another release that just went live - the Love You Release! Tonight I'm sharing a card using several new items from the release!

This release has a definite love theme - and I fell in love with these sweet little Love Birds - so I built my card around them. I die cut them twice from white cardstock and layered together for a bit of simple dimension.

The background uses the new Splendid Leaves embossing folder - white cardstock, then a bit of ink blending with Shabby Shutters distress ink to make the details pop a bit. I also blended Tattered Rose and Aged Mahogany on a circle die cut with Basic Circles to mount those little Love Birds on.

Finally, I layered together 3 strips of varying lengths of vellum with torn edges to tuck behind the circle which I popped up on foam adhesive. Added some sentiments from the new Love Greetings Mix stamp set, and a bow with jute string popped on the top.

Since this is DIEcember - of course I have a card featuring LOTS of die cutting!

The new gorgeous Snowflake Frame die is stunning! And perfect for a card focal point too! I die cut it from white, and layered over some Sea Glass cardstock to help it pop.

Next up, I used the fun new Friends word die - die cut from gold for the main layer, and vellum for the shadow layer. A bit hard to see, but helps it pop a bit from the background.

I added a Christmas sentiment that seemed appropriate this year underneath from Sentiment Strips Slimline Christmas popped up on foam, and a few white jewels sprinkled around to finish off!

And...while I haven't finished it yet - here is a sneaky peek at another card I'm working on using the gorgeous new Detail Bohemian Cover Plate - stitching is taking longer than I thought, so I'm still slowly working on it - but thought it would be fun to share the work in progress anyway!

And a bit more inspiration for you - here is a card I shared a couple days ago using more of the new release - you can check out the post HERE for more details:

Warm Holiday Hugs - Simon Says Stamp DIEcember

Good morning, and happy DIEcember - a month that Simon Says Stamp celebrates all things die cutting! There is also a BRAND NEW Release for the occasion - so I'm popping by with a card using one of the gorgeous new dies that is part of the release!

Do you see how huge and gorgeous this beautiful Dainty Snowflake die is?!? I love how it is so perfect for a focal point on a card!

I usually gravitate towards cool tones for snowflakes - but I thought I would shake things up for this card! I die cut the delicate part of the snowflake with white glitter cardstock, then the shadow layer with bold red to layer together.

Tucked that in the corner, attaching the center with liquid glue and curling up the edges a bit, then added a sprinkle of jewels and a sentiment strip popped up on foam over the top. Finally, rounded the upper left corner to finish this card off!

Missing you at Christmastime - Simon Says Stamp December 2020 Card Kit

Good morning! I'm back with one more card using the December Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Joyful Season! This kit is festive and fun, and perfect for sending Christmas wishes across the miles this year! The included stamp set by the same name has beautiful vintage images and stunning sentiments, there is some LOVELY vintage holiday pattern paper and ephemera, a fun Candy Cane Heart die, and the newest distress ink color! That's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today's card is a nice simple one with a stamped sentiment on the inside - love how some of the smaller sentiments are a perfect fit for stamping inside the card!

This card was so easy to put together - and would be perfect for mass producing!

Some pattern paper on the bottom with some ribbon to separate it from the rest of the card, a simple stamped sentiment over the top of that, with a few enamel dots for fun texture on each side...

...then round off the top two corners and add a stamped sentiment on the inside!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:
