Sweet Friendship

Good morning! Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start! Just wanted to share a sweet card with you that I put together last night:

And, as a second entry for this weeks Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge:

I actually have had this image from Lil' Inker's Designs all colored up and sitting on my desk for months now - and finally decided it should go on a card. Which made this pretty easy to put together! I used a die from My Craft Spot to cut the pinked edge on the bottom, and layered lots of pretty American Crafts papers (except the turquoise which is from Echo Park). Added a doily, some machine stitching, a sequin bow from Freckled Fawn, and a few sequins to finish it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Thursday Hoppin' with Unity

Good morning! I'm super excited this morning to be hopping along with the Unity Design Team - you should have arrived here from the fabulous Erin! I was the lucky winner of last month's Unity {be inspired} challenge, and in addition to the wonderful prize, that means I get to hop along and join in today! Did I mention the prize is amazing? Because it is - and you will definitely want to play along!

Here is my first card:

Here are the sketches and color inspiration for this month:

I used both the card sketch, and the color inspiration for this card. My image and sentiment came from the April 2014 Kit of the Month "Botanical Bliss". I love getting this in the mail each month - there is always so much variety included, and it is such a great price for that many stamps!

I colored this in with Copics, cut out an oval with a Lil' Inker's stitched die, then added my sentiment on a banner I cut with a Simon Says Stamp tilted banner die. Pattern paper is from Crate Paper, added some washi tape on the bottom, and finished off with that fun bow I have had in my stash for forever from Freckled Fawn, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to use.

I ended up needing to make another one of these cards for a friend, and since I didn't have any more of the same pattern paper left, I decided to go with an entirely different color scheme, but still use the same sketch:

I am also linking this one up with the current Shop Pumpkin Spice challenge - Washi Tape.

This time I used some Authentique pattern paper, and also added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Instead of the bow I added some hand trimmed banners, a tiny Tim Holtz paperclip, and a bit of jute twine tied in a bow to finish it off.

Would love to know which one is your favorite! Make sure and leave a comment before you go for a chance to win this weeks hop prize. Your next stop is the amazing Kary! Thanks so much for stopping by - and thanks to Unity for the chance to join in today! Have a wonderful day!!!
