LID April Release Day 1 - No Borders

Hello! The day is finally here to start sharing projects with the BRAND NEW April release at Lil' Inker Designs! There are a ton of fun new stamps and dies to share! You can find the entire new release HERE!

You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

My first card I used the new One Love Stamp Set - it makes me want to add John 3:16 over the top of it - love the heart shaped earth! For this first card, I stamped and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper, then added a wash of watercolors over the top in two different colors.

Once that dried, I tore the edges for some texture and mounted it on a white cardbase. Sentiment is heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock, and a few clear droplets are the final finishing touch!

Next up - I thought this sentiment was a PERFECT fit for this image to turn it into a graduation card!

For this card, I used two different colors of Fresh Inks to do a bit of ombre blending on the image. I used my MISTI to keep it lined up, and stamped several times for a nice solid impression and good blending between the colors.

I then stamped my sentiment and stars from Grad Class (a previous release) and added the year with the new Grad Class 2018 Supplement. (These are on sale together for a bundle price - or if you bought the Grad Class set last year, you can purchase just the Supplement to bring it up to date for this year!).

LID November Mini Release Hop

Hello! Today is a hop to celebrate a new mini release at Lil' Inker Designs - two stamp sets and a coordinating die that will be available (and ON SALE) on Friday in celebration of Black Friday! There will also be a ton of other sets marked at fabulous discounts that you will definitely want to check out!

Today, you should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win this entire release. I also have links to all the products I used on today's cards!

First up - I'm loving this darling new unicorn that is part of the new Magical Winter Stamp set - SOOO cute!

I stamped one of the unicorns up with the gift stamp and some of the snowflakes, and cut them out with their coordinating Magical Winter Dies. Colored the unicorn, and heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of pattern paper, Added some torn white paper behind and mounted that on some more pattern paper, then attached the unicorn with foam adhesive, and the snowflakes in the centers, curling up the edges for a bit of dimension. Added some Nuvo drops to the center of the snowflakes, some glittery ones on the horn, hooves, and gift the unicorn is holding, and some white ones sprinkled around the finish it off!

Next up, a clean and simple one layer card using some of the fabulous patterns from the new Unstoppable stamp set - so unique and versatile! Not to mention fun! :)

I used pigment ink to stamp a fun random background, then stamped the sentiment 3 times over the top with Versafine ink. It just felt like it needed to be stated 3 times, so that's what I did!

Your next stop along the blog hop is Jennifer Carter - head over there next to finish the hop and be ready to shop on Friday - I will be back with another card then using both of these sets! Can we say unicorn on an action wobble?!?!?!? ;)

And now the really fun part! One lucky person is going to win THE ENTIRE RELEASE! Winner will be chosen from comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!

LID Christmas Release - Day 3

Hello! It's the third and final day of the blog hop to celebrate the fun new release at Lil' Inker Designs - a super fun mix of stamps and dies in this release! I'm back with more fun inspiration with some of the new dies this time! You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today's cards feature some fun with letters and words! This first card I used the new Peace, Love, & Joy stamp set - a fun set that has two part stamping options for the letters to build these three words. I couldn't choose just one, so I used all 3 on my card! It's hard to see, but I used the smaller part of each letter to stamp in Delicata Gold Pigment Ink - which adds a subtle shine.

To emphasize the words, I added "joy" and "peace" from Rustic Christmas underneath their respective words, and since I couldn't find "love" in the same font I added some little hearts from Greetings & Salutations to reinforce that word in a visual way.

Next up, I used the FABULOUS new Joy to the World Stamp set - this one is PERFECT for making Christmas cards with a simple focal point!

I heat embossed it with some fabulous new Lawn Fawn Rose Gold Embossing powder that I picked up recently and hadn't had a chance to try - LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I added some pattern paper to the top and bottom trimmed with Border Builders Die Set, and tied on a bit of jute twine to finish off.

It was hard to capture it with a photo, but check out the pretty shine this has:

Here is a quick video showing how I did it:

I just thought those colors were so perfect for fall - and yet still with a hint of summer to them as well.

LID September Fall Release - Day 3

Hello! Today is Day 3 of the fun new release at Lil' Inker Designs - a super fun mix of stamps and dies in this release! I have two cards to share with you today! You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today I'm sharing 2 cards using the awesome new thanks set - Snarky Shadow Thanks Stamps and Die Set - love this unique and fun thank you set - the sentiments are hilarious! This first one I paired up again with that adorable squirrel from Eat Pie Stamp Set, some grass on the bottom cut with Deco Edge Border Dies and a die cut Speech Bubbles 2

And then I had to use some more of the fun sentiments for another card! Who else can relate to these sentiments? Haha!

I stamped it on a tag cut with Fringe Scalloped Tags Dies, and added some fun plaid paper die cut with Silly Stitched Dies. The pattern paper keeps this one interesting, but it was super simple to put together!

Wish You Were Here - Winnie and Walter Rerun Challenge

{This is my second post today - if you are looking for my Reverse Confetti Day 2 Sneak Peeks, click HERE or scroll down to the last post}

Good morning! Today is the start of a new Rerun Feature and Challenge at Winnie and Walter - this month our featured set is a Tree for All Seasons. This was one of the first sets I received the first time I guest designed for Winnie and Walter - so it kind of holds a special place in my heart! I was so happy for an excuse to pull it out and play along!

I actually started by stamping the circles with pigment inks across the front of a white panel of cardstock, then stamped the tree trunks and branches over the top with black pigment ink. I heat embossed a sentiment from This Awesome House on a strip of black cardstock and mounted that with foam adhesive over the trees. Some Warm Gray Copic markers worked well to add some simple grounding to the bottom of the tree trunks - just a little something extra that makes it look a little more special - and then some black cardstock to mat the top and bottom before mounting on a kraft card base to finish off!

Winnie and Walter Release Day 3 - Celebrate

Good morning! I'm back yet again with another sneak peek of the new Winnie and Walter release! I just LOVE this new release - such a wonderful mix of beautiful stamps and dies! Today I'm using a couple new stamp sets premiering today - and a stamp and die set that premiered earlier this week on the Winnie and Walter Blog - make sure and head over there to see the new sets and lots of inspiration with them!

I used Mini Scenery: Round and Round stamp set to create my background - isn't it FUN?!?!?!? I added some sentiments from Sentimental: Gift (free with purchase with this new release) and some balloons from the other set premiering today - Ring in the Celebration - using a pen to hand draw in the strings where I wanted them. Since the blue background is pigment ink, and the black of the balloons is pigment - I love how it looks like the balloons are transparent - just as they would be in real life! FUN! I then added the In a Word: Celebrate Cutaways from black cardstock, adhered it to my card, and then covered with Glossy Accents - nice and flat, but lots of interest and dimension that can go through the mail!

Winnie and Walter Release Day 2 - Floral Birthday

Good morning! I'm back with another sneak peek of the new Winnie and Walter release! I just LOVE this new release - such a wonderful mix of beautiful stamps and dies! Today I'm featuring the gorgeous new floral set - In Bloom: Shirley's Blooms premiering today on the Winnie and Walter Blog - make sure and head over there to see the new sets and lots of inspiration with them!

I love these gorgeous florals - perfect for layering for a loose fun look, or using separately! I stamped a bunch of blooms and leaves, and cut them out with the coordinating dies, then arranged them on a soft blue cardbase. I heat embossed sentiment (from a set you will see later this week) on some black cardstock, trimmed to a rectangle, and placed over the top. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I used Press and Seal to pick up the arrangement, apply adhesive to the back of the florals, and place back on my card. I then placed the sentiment portion with foam adhesive. Then I went crazy with the Nuvo drops and added lots of white accents around.

Dinos and Action Wobbles

Good morning! Life has been a bit crazy here lately - so other than time that I have been working ahead on a BUNCH of new releases from some of my Design teams, I haven't had much time to make anything else!

However, I recently got some new inks as a gift, and of COURSE couldn't wait to play with them - so I pulled out my Hello Dino stamp set from the last Lil' Inkers release and tested them out. Then...of course, I needed to put them on some cards - you know how one thing leads to another. I kept them simple, and enjoyed using lots of the adorable sentiments in this stamp set - and then I added the dinos on mini action wobbles - SOOOO very fun!

Here is a little action shot of the dinos on their wobbles:

And a close up of each of the colors and sentiments:

These were super fun to make - and relatively simple and easy, not to mention perfect for re-creating as a set!
