Mix and Match Florals and Stencils YT Live - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Yesterday I went live on my YouTube channel using a few items from the You Are My Favorite Release from Simon Says Stamp, and mixing and matching some different items. I combined two different floral sets - one die and one embossing folder - and also used a frame die and stencil two ways on my card front. And don't even get me started on that fabulous sparkly details that I was able to add with something new to me!

Here is the live video if you want to see this card come together, or you can watch it directly on YouTube HERE:

I started off by die cutting a frame from a piece of acetate using Petal Tipped Labels die. I then used both the positive and negative as a mask, first blending a bit of soft yellow ink on my cardbases, then using the Delicate Lattice stencil with a deeper yellow to add texture in a darker shade. Before removing the masks, I added some sparkle with the new-to-me Cinderella's Shoes Picket Fence Paper Splatter. It is SOOO sparkly and pretty! I did some die cutting and ink blending (you can watch the videos for details) using Fantastic Florals embossing folder and dies, Poised Primula dies, and Exquisite Butterfly die and finished assembling the cards. Added sentiments from Flowering Frame, heat embossed in white on black cardstock, a few sparkly Dazzling Gems in Prism, a bit of Iridescent Cord, and a rounded corner on each card to finish off! Here are more photos of these cards:

Vintage Sympathy Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a set of sympathy cards using a mix of older and newer supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I like to make a few at a time when I do sympathy cards, because they are definitely one of those occasions you don't want to have to make at the time, so very handy to have ready to go!

For these cards, I actually started off with the Distressed Parisian Frame set, stamping it with a few different inks - Clay, Heather, and Cabbage - then die cutting with the coordinating die. I used the Distressed Vintage Love stamp set to add some decorative edges to the cardbase, created from Speckled Eggshell cardstock. I also added some more texture with the Circular Lace stencil placed on the top and bottom and misted with a bit of Fossilized Amber distress spritz, and then some splatters with Pickett Fence paper splatter in opaque black. I built sentiments to fit inside the frames from Moments of Grace, one of my favorite sympathy sets. I popped the frames up over the top with foam adhesive, added tiny bows at the top with Lawn Fawn white hemp twine, and then tucked a few little Honey Bee adhesive pearls in the corners! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Rainbow Split Wreath cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm dropping in with a duo of cards again, this time created by splitting one single image into two cards. I'm using some lovely stamp sets and inks from Simon Says Stamp to put these together. I also love the rainbow theme with these flowers!

I started off with the lovely Anemone Wreath stamp set. I heat embossed it in clear in the center of a panel of cardstock sized 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" - this way when the image was heat embossed, I could cut it in half and end up with two A2 panels. Because they were heat embossed in clear, once I started ink blending over the top, the images magically appeared! I started off with my lightest shades of Pawsitively Saturated inks, and blended a soft ombre on each one, then came in with my next darkest shade and a smaller brush to focus on the the wreath areas. Once I finished that, I added a few black splatters with Picket Fence Opaque Black Paper Splatter. I set those aside to dry, and stamped my larger sentiments using Sunshine and Smiles stamp and die set. I trimmed those panels down, and then popped my larger sentiments up with foam adhesive, then added little secondary sentiments from Mix and Match Butterflies stamp set underneath. Popped those panels up with foam adhesive on white cardbases, then finished off wit a few Trinity Stamps Glossy Holographic enamel dots. Here's a closer look at these cards:

Framed Die Cut Florals - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I'm jumping from plaid to die cut florals, and lots of die cutting on these cards using supplies from Simon Says Stamp - some simple stamping for just the sentiments lets the die cutting shine!

For these cards I started off by die cutting lots of pieces with the Exotic Blooms wafer die - a current favorite floral die! I cut the flower portion twice each with cardstock in Lavender, Lemon Chiffon, and Cornflower, then the leaves twice each with Green Apple and Green Leaf. I assembled all the flowers with liquid glue, and ended up using about half of them on these cards, and the other half I'll be sharing on another card soon. I added some dainty frames using Thin Frames die, cut from Satin Gold cardstock. Before adhering all those down, I added some texture to the cardbases with Picket Fence Studios Paper Splatter in Opaque Black. Once that dried a bit, I glued the frames and flowers down, tucking just a bit of foam adhesive behind only the flowers at the top to let them pop up for some simple dimension. I tied some May Arts Metallic Gold String across the top, and then added some trios of the smallest Dazzling Gems in clear to each frame/floral combo. Finished off by stamping dainty scripted sentiments from Sunflower Fields stamp set in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink. Here is a closer look at these two cards:
