Shiny Bauble Stamped Ornaments - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a bit of a different project, featuring more of the NEW STAMPtember Release from Simon Says Stamp! Instead of cards, I have some DIY ornaments I created with the new Shiny Baubles set. This set has a magical nostalgic feel to me, reminding me of some of the vintage ornaments I still hang on my tree from my grandparents. So fun to be able to create some paper versions thanks to papercrafting supplies!

I started off by stamping and die cutting doubles for each ornament, so I could adhere them together back to back - this way they could hang on my tree, and look pretty on both sides. I also die cut one plain one for each from solid coordinating cardstock, and when I adhered them together with thin foam adhesive, it made them all more sturdy, as well as allowing a bit of color to peek from inside. The circle ones fit together perfectly, while the oblong one was slightly offset, so the solid layer added a bit of a shadow effect that helped balance it all out on each side! I used tone on tone stamping, as well as gems that matched with each color, added some die cut layers with Honey Gold cardstock, stamped the sweet scene with crisp black ink, and added a bit of white glitter glue "snow" to each scene to finish. And of course, some white twine to tie on each to hang them from! Here is a closer look at each of these:

Sweater Weather - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Special Release

Hello! Today I'm sharing a fun fall card featuring a new SURPRISE release from Tim Holtz and Ranger, available now at Simon Says Stamp! This release is some fun large bottles of Rock Candy glitter - including a NEW Chunky glitter! I absolutely love this version, and had fun creating a fall theme card with lots of sparkle! It seems like since the calendar switched over to September, it suddenly feels like fall. And I am here for it!

I started off by using the Mod Forest embossing folder on white cardstock. I blended Distress Oxide inks over the top, using Crushed Olive, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Lumberjack Plaid, and Seedless Preserves. Then, I added a squirt of Glossy Accents to several of the trees, smeared it around with my finger, and sprinkled on the glitter, shaking off the excess. Isn't it the most beautiful sparkle?!? I added sentiments using Reverse Fall EZ Strips sentiment strips, die cut with the new coordinating EZ Strips Banners dies, popped up on foam, then finished off with a few Dazzling gems in Clear for a touch of extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at this finished card and all it's sparkle:

I Like Big Birthdays Highland Cows - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release

Hello fabulous friends! It's time to kick off a super fun month - STAMPtember with Simon Says Stamp! The party begins with an epic release, full of so many fun things! I fell in love with the Highland Cows set, and thought it was super funny paired with this greeting from another set in the release!

I started off by stamping the Highland Cows in black on white cardstock, and heat embossing with clear embossing powder to give it a bit of shine and texture. For the backgrounds, I paired up the new A2 Scalloped Rectangles dies with More A2 Rectangles dies, cutting the scallops with white cardstock, and the front layer with the rectangles for a perfect shadow layer, and mixing two pattern papers together to give a good grounding effect for the images. I stamped, heat embossed, and die cut these hilarious sentiments from Inside Greetings Birthday set - they crack me up so much! I used kraft cardstock for the cardbases, and then tucked a little bow from Pretty Bows 2 on the girly version of this card - cut from white glitter cardstock, and added a single Dazzling Gem in Butter to the center of it. I love how just changing the pattern paper and adding the bow to one of them changes up the same design to leave one more masculine, and one more feminine! Here is a closer look at both of these:

Butterfly Background Thank Yous - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I've got a couple of cards featuring an embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp, paired with some pretty ink blending and die cut sentiments! Isn't this color combo fun?!?

I started off with the Confetti Butterflies embossing folder, and embossed one full A2 panel of white cardstock, and then one panel that I first die cut with one of the Modern Teardrops dies. I lightly misted them with water before embossing, which allows for a deeper impression on the cardstock that I love! Once those dried, I grabbed a fun color combo of Pawsitively Saturated inks - Butter, Clay, and Violet (using a search for ombre gradients on Pinterest to give me some color inspiration). I blended the full panel softly with the color for a more pastel background, then on the die cut panel, I blended deeper to get a slightly more bold effect. For both of them, I used the back side of the embossed panels, which gives a different effect that is super fun! I used the negative from the die cut frame to create a window to put my whole panel behind, and then adhered the die cut background with foam adhesive on my cardbase. Sentiments are the Showboat Thanks die, using black cardstock for the shadow layer, and white for the main layer. Finished off with some Dazzling Gems in Prism on both cards, and then some Black and White Baker's twine on the bolder card, and Iridescent cord on the softer toned card. Here is a closer look at these finished cards:

Soft Poppy Pod Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! As I often like to do, I'm sharing some cards today that take a leftover element from another card, and put it to use on something else! I had the strips of pattern paper left from yesterday's cards, so I pulled out a newer die from Simon Says Stamp that I hadn't used yet, and paired it with some other supplies to create these simple cards.

I started off by die cutting the sweet little Poppy Pods die from white glitter cardstock. I tore the edges on some strips of white cardstock, and then layered the leftover Favorite Flannel pattern paper over the top, after tearing out a section in the center. In hindsight, I'm not sure if I love that? Or wish I had left them solid...but at this point, it was done, so I just rolled with it! At the very least, it's interesting I guess! Haha! I adhered the die cut poppy pods with liquid glue, trimmed excess stem off the end, then added those panels with foam adhesive on my white cardbases. I and stamped sentiments from Flower Love on the side, embellishing with a few coordinating jewels in Surf, Sprout, and Gold. Finally, rounded off the lower right corner of the cards, and then added a sweet little bow with Lawn Fawn white twine! Here is a closer look at each of the finished cards:
