Black-Eyed Susan Style Daisy Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! If you have been following along with my cards using one particular die from Simon Says Stamp, well...today I have the next installment! This time I used that same die to create another flower - this time a Black-Eyed Susan!

Once again, I love how just switching up the colors on this Tilted Daisy die made it look like something ENTIRELY different - and a few leaves again from Privet Branch die just give them an entirely different look as well! Like the last cards I shared, I used all colored cardstock from Concord & 9th Jewels and 2025 color mix, then blended ink on in Honey, Woodsy, and Artichoke to add some shading and depth. My grip mat was very helpful for that! I used Kraft cardstock for the cardbases, and added a bit of ink blending around the edges of one, and the some around the center of the other one. I grabbed a panel of Eggshell cardstock, and die cut a window using Petal Tipped Labels - then used the negative space as a window, and the die cut frame as a panel on the other card. I tucked and arranged the stems and blooms on there, then added a rounded corner on one, and a good dose of White Splatter medium for some texture. Added sentiments from Vintage Blooms, stamped in black on yellow cardstock, then heat embossed with clear powder to make them pop. Finished off with a few Dazzling Gems in clear for a touch of sparkle! Here is a closer look at these cards:

Echinacea Style Daisy Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! I had so much fun with those pastel daisy cards I shared a couple days ago (you can see them HERE) - that I pulled out that same die from Simon Says Stamp, and went a little crazy over the weekend creating totally different styles with it (I'll be sharing a couple more designs this week that I created - stay tuned)! I love how that floral design is super versatile, and perfect for a variety of different floral styles. Today's cards feature one I have growing in my yard - Echinacea, also known as purple cone flower!

I love the slightly more vintage feel these cards have, in contrast to the fresh and clean pastels with bright white daisies that I shared first! For these, I cut all the Tilted Daisy flower layers from colored cardstock, and then did a bit of ink blending on each one to add shading and depth. Cardstock was from Concord & 9th Jewels and 2025 color packs, and I used two shades of cardstock for the flower layers. I added shading with the following inks: Honey, Cabernet, Galaxy, Artichoke, and Woodsy - using my Grip Mat to hold them in place while blending. I then used some of those same ink colors to do some ink smooshing on watercolor paper to make a simple background for the flowers. I also die cut Privet Branch from the same colored cardstock, and trimmed individual leaves off to add to the stems to give them a different look. I added some splatters to the blooms with White Splatter Medium that recently released, and then added sentiments using I'm Sorry Sentiments and Bad Day Good Vibes sets. Finished off with a few Lilac Dazzling Gems for perfectly coordinating sparkle! Here is a closer look at each of these cards:

Bright Floral Cluster - Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release

Hello! I'm stopping by tonight with my FIRST card to share using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release! This release is full of so many fun items, and I can't wait to share some of the projects I've been working on behind the scenes! Starting off with this bright and happy little floral card!

This is one of my favorite cards I've created so far from this release! The bright happy colors just make me smile, and I love the various products I was able to combine together! I started off by die cutting and assembling the Delicate Wildflowers die from some fun colors of Concord & 9th cardstock. I added the assembled flower onto some white cardstock cut with the new Scalloped Circles dies, and added another one behind to increase the layers. For the background, I used one of my  new favorite 3D embossing folders - Dainty Dotted Daisies, and left the debossed side facing up on my card for the perfect texture! I added some more strips of the same colored cardstock to the background, then popped my scallop frames over the top. Sentiment was created with the new Smile stamp and die combo - the large word was stamped in Nocturne ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for some extra shine, and secondary sentiments just stamped in black. Finishing touch was a little trio of tiny Mandarin Dazzling Gems! Here is a closer look at this card:

Bright and Fun Birthday Trio - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Today I've got a bright and bold trio of Birthday cards to share using supplies from Simon Says Stamp! For these cards, I chose 3 bright and fun colors of cardstock that worked well together, and then alternated all 3 colors in a different order for each card!

I started off with colored cardstock from Concord and 9th Celebration Jewels cardstock pack. I used Waffle Flower Cross-Hatch Texture die to cut 3 background panels, then used Scripty Happy Birthday  to cut the large sentiments. I added some leaves using Delicate Leafy Branch from white cardstock, and added flowers to that with Sweet Tiny Flowers dies and some scraps of the same colored cardstock. I assembled all together, alternating the colors. So each card has all 3 colors of cardstock, but in a different order. Love how different they each look! I added secondary sentiments from EZ Strips Birthday sentiments, hand trimming the edges into a banner shape. Finished off with some coordinating jewels in the centers of the flowers to pull all the colors together! Here is a closer look at all of these finished cards:

Sunny Sunflower card - Simon Says Stamp

Hello! I'm back with a sunny sunflower card using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I love how this monochromatic design came out! I'm trying to hold onto summer for just a little bit longer - and today I'm also on my way to Kansas to visit a very dear friend for a week - sunflowers just happen to be the state flower of Kansas, so this card is perfectly appropriate!

I started off with a piece of Concord and 9th cardstock - I loved this pretty tone of yellow. I stamped the beautiful Sunflower Garden stamp in Honey Pawsitively Saturated inks for a tone on tone effect - and turned the cardstock to landscape instead of portrait, leaving the design hanging off the side. I wrapped some jute string around the other side a few times, and tied it in a bow at the top. For the sentiment, I grabbed Sunshine and Smiles stamp set, and stamped the main sentiment in that same Honey ink as the florals, then die cut with the coordinating dies. I popped that up with foam adhesive, then added a secondary sentiment from the Sunflower Garden stamp set, stamped in black, and trimmed to a banner shape. Here are more photos of this card all finished:

Elegant Just a Note cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by today with a couple cards using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp - I actually have had this embossed cardstock panel sitting near my desk for quite a while - so I was happy to finally put it to good use!

This Exotic Vines 3D embossing folder may be one of my very favorite ones - it's just so pretty! I used some rich toned Concord and 9th cardstock, and dampened both sides when I ran it through my die cut machine. This helped get a nice and deep impression. Like I said above - I had done this some time ago, and hadn't gotten around to using it on a card, so it was nice to finally use it! I cut the panel in half diagonally, then added some Luxe Glitter cardstock along the edge for a glamorous touch - I love that champagne tone on this! I mounted that with some thin foam adhesive for just a touch of dimension, then stamped sentiments from the Just a Note Notes stamp set, rounded off one corner of the card, and finished off with a few Sparkling Champagne pearls to finish. Here are more photos of these two cards:
